I started with Dr Niemic in 2019 when I first arrived in Taos. I have found him to be trustworthy, caring, compassionate, very skilled and thorough and knowledgeable. He is responsive in emergencies. His integrity is high. I know I will never be overcharged nor will any unnecessary procedure be recommended, which I have experienced at other dentists. When needed he refers me to excellent specialists for care. Even though I do not currently live in Taos, I go back to Dr Niemics office for dental care when I visit here. I've been blessed with competent dental care until another local provider retired and the young replacements proved predatory. My care from Dr Niemiec has been top-of-the line in integrity, comprehensiveness, clear communication, kindness, and cost. A cavity that "requires a crown" from former dentist was quickly and inexpensively filled. Two necessary root canals discovered on 3-D xrays were skillfully performed for a fraction of what Santa Fe charges.. I have used Dr. Niemiec for the last year and a half. I have had cleanings, major and minor, cavities filled and even a root canal, that of which I never felt a thing. The doctor and his staff are very concerned with your comfort, and even nervousness, that they will do all that they can to make sure it is a comfortable experience! I am not going to lie, if it were up to me I would NEVER visit a dentist again, one of my biggest fears, but since that is not rational, I will stick with Mark and his awesome staff! read more

Mistaken hygiene appt..no problem. Diane Davis, my fav hygienist, gave me a quick cleaning and polishing...at no charge. Dr. Niemiec is a terrific dentist, a perfectionist, and very patient, waiting for my OK on the crown before letting me go. The staff is a happy group, and extremely competent, yet friendly...a joy to be around. And it so happens that the rates are the best in town! Not that it matters, since the service and environment is top notch. His wife, Cheryl, is the office manager, and is very friendly and kind. State of the art office, equipment is up to date, and they have large flat screens, with views of beautiful scenes. Did I mention the music choices?..lots of good old rock and roll! read more

Dr. Niemiec is a gentle and considerate doctor. I have had my teeth cleaned, root canal and whitening done by him. I rate him 5 stars. I was not able to make a Monday appt. due to being sick and called his office 45 minutes after my appt. was scheduled. I own my part in not calling him earlier due to my illness. His staff member named Starr, was very rude to me and advised me I should of called 24 hours in advance. I did not know I was going to wake up sick. Wish she would of had some compassion for me, but she was very rude. Don't think I will be going back to this office. read more

There are many dentists in the area. I would suggest that you try another. My daughter had some root canals done that failed and became infected. She had to have all the work re-done by an endodontist, who was shocked at the condition of the first procedures. read more

We drive over two hours to see Mark Niemiec and his team. The staff is very courteous and professional, especially with my shy four year old. They always work with our crazy schedule and their office is very well maintained. They come highly recommended. read more

I found Dr. Niemiec after moving to Taos from the Bay Area over 2 years ago. And I must say, he is the best dentist I've every had, including those in big cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco. He's incredibly thorough answering my questions, and I never feel rushed due to other patients. I always feel like he's giving me his full attention. Recently, I visited him to have several chipped front teeth patched. I was frankly quite cynical that this could be done naturally, and grilled Dr. Niemiec about the process so I knew what to expect. He went over everything with me in detail, and before we started, asked if I had all the info I needed to move forward comfortably. I have to say, the results exceeded my expectations....a lot. My teeth look completely young and natural. He really is an artist. His staff is also superior. Great energy, friendly, professional, attentive, even to some of my personal quirks.
