My orthodontist as a teen had filed my central incisors, something I'd never been completely happy with. As someone who works in digital marketing for aesthetic practices, including cosmetic dentistry, I'm familiar with veneers and smile makeovers, but I wasn't looking for or able to invest in a full-mouth transformation. I simply wanted to feel confident again when I smiled. After several consultations with cosmetic dentists in Charlotte, I chose Dr. Wilson because his before-and-after gallery truly stood out, and his virtual consultation felt refreshingly honest. Some other dentists had recommended Invisalign followed by veneers or a full set of veneers, but Dr. Wilson listened carefully, offered thoughtful options, and never made me feel pressured. We decided on two porcelain veneers for my central incisors. My case wasn't an easy one, as Dr. Wilson had to precisely match the color and translucency of the veneers to the rest of my natural teeth, which is much more challenging than placing 20 veneers made at the same lab. He absolutely knocked it out of the park. The veneers are a perfect match, and my smile looks completely natural and beautifully balanced. Dr. Wilson was intelligent, approachable, and genuinely down to earth, qualities that instantly put me at ease. I finally feel confident smiling again, and it has made such a difference in how I carry myself. I'm so grateful to Dr. Wilson for his artistry, integrity, and care. Last week, I called for the soonest appt., was placed on hold after they RUN your insurance. They ask you what type of insurance you have before they even send you the link to fill out any paperwork. But they wait until less than 24 hours before an appointment to let me know that they DO NOT accept my insurance coverage. Offering to "refer" me to another provider. When they could have done that when I called them last week(Monday). It takes them an entire week, to notify you that they do not accept the coverage they take over the phone, when scheduling the appointment. If they did not catch it then, then it certainly should have been evident when they received the completed forms. That is a glimpse into how they run their practice. When it comes to something as sensitive for most patients as Dental Work-the Dentist period... You use your own discernment to advise if you want an office that aren't competent enough to complete something as simple as a new patient registration, in your mouth with instruments. Because just as that was missed, they could have overlooked one of my allergies that were written on the same form as my dental insurance coverage. As a result, I wouldn't trust any place they referred me to either.

I had files transferred from my old Dentist per Dr. Walsh's request, including Invisalign (which took 1.5 mo to transfer as it needed signatures & Dr. Walsh works 1 day/week). I waited for review of the files once the transfer was complete- I didn't hear back. I mentioned this at my next cleaning. Dr. Walsh wasn't there & the dentist said they'd have Dr. Walsh call me the following day. I never heard from him, so the next week I called but had to leave a voicemail -requesting a review of my dental records as my bite continued to feel misaligned/uncomfortable. I didn't hear back, called again, this time scheduling an appt for a bite evaluation or a new Invisalign retainer. I was excited for the appt. as the misalignment had been an issue for a year. Dr. Walsh walked into the appointment annoyed from the start. He told me that me having daily awareness & thoughts that my bite is off center is 'a mental issue' & I 'should see a therapist'. He also repeated 'I'm not being a smartass' multiple times. This was something he conveyed before doing any examination. I was mortified & shocked a dentist would speak to any patient this way, especially given the fact I was trusting him to care for me. From the start he'd decided he had no interest in hearing or believing anything I was saying, and labeling me a 'hysterical woman'. It seems outdated a dentist would have such misogynistic viewpoints in 2026. He the told me 'if you want to tell me something thats actually a problem with your bite then go ahead but you are explaining nothing to me' after I explained the issue in several ways. He continued to belittle & talk down to me, even seeing that I was visibly upset. The only examination he actually did was using articulating paper (begrudgingly) halfway through the appointment. He did not ask any questions, he didn't try and understand my issue at any point, nor did he provide any solutions. He told me 'Invisalign cannot fix a bite' and 'the fact this has been going on for 1 year tells me you don't have a bite issue'. Disappointing, considering I tried getting in touch w/ him repeatedly, took the time to transfer my records/Invisalign files.. all while having a newborn baby at home... Dr. Walsh should probably consider the fact his patients have major life changes taking place in their personal life, instead of creating excuses for his own egocentric and false narrative. Dr. Walsh is someone who is unable to take accountability for his lack of follow-through patients who genuinely need dental help. He will be committed to misunderstanding any issue you have, based on his mood that day. Dr. Walsh - do better. Be a kind person, not one who makes someone leave your office in tears due to how you talked down to them. It seems you are the one who needs a therapist. And perhaps a new career.

I had scheduled the appointment in advance and was assured that all required records and x-rays had been provided to their office. On the day of my visit, I was informed that the x-rays had not been received and would need to be performed in order to proceed with a cleaning. Although I declined the x-rays, they were performed anyways and I was billed. I contacted the office multiple times over a 30-day period to address this issue. Each time, staff claimed they had spoken with Katrina, the manager, yet I never received a response directly from her. I would not recommend this office due to over-billing, poor communication, and a lack of patient-centric care. I suggest looking elsewhere for your dental needs.

When scheduling my first appointment last year in August 2023, I told them my concerns and that I knew that I would require a little more "hand holding" because of my fear of the dentist. Dr. Vaish is amazing and she talks me through the procedure which I really appreciate and it keeps me at ease. The front desk staff are very responsive and the techs there are also really sweet and make my visits well worth it. Thank you guys for being the best!
