Faeo was a gem for the entire family. When she left our 6 months old was sleeping through the night and our older girls were in love with her. We left the kids with her overnight and she would send me happy picture of the baby every morning ... we miss her

We hired a nanny, Mimi (also goes by Mary Beth) for one day per week. Over the course of just a few months, Mimi took multiple days off, was then absent for an extended period, and resigned abruptly via text message with zero notice, claiming she had an ongoing family emergency to tend to. After Mimi's resignation, the agency shared that she had expressed concerns about working with our family. I honestly took the feedback hard and it sent me to a dark place, as I didn't know this nanny I TRUSTED was judging me and my home so harshly when I'm just trying to do the best I can as a postpartum working mom. For what it's worth, much of the feedback seemed to be rooted in misunderstandings and in some cases, reflected basic responsibilities that were explicitly outlined in our nanny agreement. And none of those concerns had ever been raised directly despite months of her being sweet and warm to our faces. Again, I do not blame the agency. While I can't recommend our experience with this particular nanny, I can say that Rimma handled a very difficult situation with professionalism and compassion, which is why I'm choosing to leave the agency a five-star review. Rimma followed up with us thoughtfully and took our concerns seriously, and worked quickly to ensure we had a fantastic temporary nanny in place so our family wasn't left without childcare.

We are especially grateful to Maggie, who was able to find a replacement nanny in less than 24 hours with some challenging circumstances that happened last minute with one of my kids! I'm now working with two wonderful families through Genuine Nannies and feel honored to be part of the homes they carefully matched me with. Highly recommend for Nannies and for Families.

They truly are an incredible team, balancing professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care every step of the way. I reached out to them when I knew my current position was coming to an end and was beginning the search for my next opportunity. After completing my paperwork and background checks, they quickly matched me with families that aligned with my experience and goals. I'm so excited to be starting with an amazing family, and I couldn't be more grateful for their guidance throughout the process. From start to finish, the entire experience took about a month, including interviews with both Amy and prospective families. Every step was organized, transparent, and thoughtfully managed. Amy and Marie were always available to answer questions, provide updates, and offer encouragement, making what could have been a stressful transition feel seamless. What truly sets them apart is their deep understanding of the household staffing industry and their commitment to both families and candidates. In addition to everything that has already been said, I'd reiterate at Lucy's our older kiddo would bring back 2-3 creative art projects per week. Both kids loved the food (we'd often come pick up the kids and marvel at how good it smelled right outside the door). Lucy would also send super thoughtful gifts for Father's/Mother's day. This is of course in addition to Lucy's house is very clean, Lucy is organized, has prompt communication with parents, and just sorta...knows when something is up with the kids and how to handle it. Our kids still "call" Yeya on the phone to say hello. All to say, this place was like a second family to us for several years, we're very grateful both our kids had their foundation here.

Then we met Lucy and everything changed. I started my daughter with Lucy at 5 months old and she is still there at almost 2, and we are planning to send our second there after she is born (due soon!). I can't say enough good things about Lucy and Yeya. They clearly love the kids so much. They provide food and snacks which makes it a lot easier as a parent and will help you with nap schedules, potty training, etc. They have very little closures throughout the year compared to most other daycares. Beyond the care that Lucy and Yeya provide, it's clear my daughter loves her friends from there. We recently started doing some playdates with her daycare buddies and she is so happy to see them every time. It's such a happy environment and we feel really safe and happy with our decision to send her to Lucy's!

He immediately knew the school and said it was the best preschool in California. Turns out he does education certification for the state and analyzes preschool effectiveness for students and communities. He had visited the MACooP on several occasions. This place is wonderful! Our child's teacher is incredible, super knowledgeable, up to date with best practices, so talented and very experienced. The amount they do with these kids every day is amazing, there is always something new to explore. Very glad we gave this a try even though I was very nervous about the time commitment for parents with all the extra meetings. It is intense for sure but that intensity also comes we a deep cultural value of taking care of each other. I went on many tours and applied to many schools, but after a lot of debate, we chose the Co-Op. It was the best decision we could have made. Our son loves going to school! While many schools call themselves play-based, the Co-Op truly is. The kids get to come in and play for 2.5 hours, choosing their own adventure from a wide variety of options. They can choose to play indoors or outdoors, no matter what the weather. The teachers are incredibly caring and really value letting kids be kids for as long as possible. The director, Teacher Kristy, does such an incredible job of advocating for the kids and staying true to the principles of a play-based philosophy. While I had concerns about the level of parental commitment, it has been one of my favorite parts of the school. Getting to watch my son in the classroom and form a close-knit community with other parents has been such a gift. Now, I can't imaging going to a school where that wouldn't be part of the routine. The parental education classes have also been so helpful. You come together with with other parents to learn from each other and support each other in the journey of parenting.

My son started attending when he was about 3 yrs old after a less than positive experience at another preschool. I was apprehensive about him entering a new environment and if it'd jive well w/ him. Since then, he has grown and thrived so much - the teachers are incredibly caring, warm, and really focused helping the children develop and improve their skills. But more than that, they embrace what's unique about each kid and try to bring out the best in them. Their mentality is much more one of playing to a kid's strengths vs. focusing on their weaknesses. They're incredibly open-minded and receptive to kids' needs, and never try to force them into one mold. Also, they're very friendly to working parents. As much as they do activities like family potlucks and walks to the park w/ the families, there's never any sense of judgment if you can't participate. There is a daily schedule that's probably pretty similar to other preschools/daycares, but I liked DCC's because it's more play-based compared to other programs. The atmosphere feels relaxed and more importantly - warm and accepting. I also love that DCC has an incredibly diverse makeup of kids, parents, and staff - it does wonders for kids when they have the opportunity to learn in a diverse, non-homogenous environment and learn to embrace diversity and inclusion from an early age. It's bittersweet that my son will be graduating and leaving DCC, but I look forward to my younger child joining DCC soon and getting to have an amazing experience too.
