I'd like to thank Mary for her response and correct a number of inaccuracies: 1. I reluctantly trialed one candidate before the one I hired at the insistence of Letavia, who didn't want me to miss out on someone she felt was a great match. The agency offered to pay for the trial, and given I had gotten only two candidates (including this one) from @Ease at that point, I agreed to the trial. The candidate was better than my first phone interview, but not what I considered a good match. 2. I never sent any emails demanding a refund. I mentioned a refund in one email to @Ease's lawyer in response to his question asking me to "outline your claims, breaches, and damages." 3. I was very surprised @Ease involved its legal counsel. In fact, I thought several times the conversation was over, but to my surprise, Letavia kept reaching out to ask more questions or comment. The last time she reached out -- again, to my surprise -- was to tell me "for information related to this matter please contact my attorney." Then I immediately received an email from her attorney asking me to outline claims, breaches, and damages as stated above. read more
