I follow them on IG and love watching Donna go out and complete her rescue missions, love seeing the fur-babies take their freedom rides in the jeep. I love that they have a plethora of volunteers that the fur-babies are able to be walked twice a day and receive genuine love and affection without the fear of being abused. The volunteers are serious and take their jobs very seriously and ensure that they announce themselves when bringing a fur-baby outside and inside of the premise. They take the time to actually get to know each dog so they can inform potential adopters of the dogs needs, dis-likes and likes. The staff and volunteers are dedicated to the well being and livelihood of each animal in their care. The fosters do an amazing job as well getting the fur-babies acclimated to human interaction, peaceful interactions with other animals and training. I was able to walk around the shelter and I was amazed that the majority of the dogs are housed in their own rooms and blocked from looking at each other, unless you fall into the over-flow room. The rooms that house each of dogs are clean, with cots and blankets. The over-flow room is a spacious room that is open with crates and it's quiet. I love how neat and clean they maintain the shelter. My sister recently adopted a puppy at one of their adoption events, which was held outside on the sidewalk up and down the building as well as across the street to showcase the fur-babies. What a great way to conduct a meet-n-greet for these amazing fur-babies in need of adoption instead of walking throughout the shelter. Since she adopted a puppy, we attend the FREE puppy training classes each Saturday morning. When I t in the ell you that the trainers are phenomenal, that's an understatement. They are incredibly knowledgeable and there to assist you every step of the way in your journey. I highly recommend Stray Recue!!!

I thought that I could come to a humane society that marketed themselves as a low cost clinic....turns out I'm $850 in the hole to spay my two cats. The price package was not well explained, other options were not given and when I asked for an itemized bill it was very underwhelming and lacked actual numbers. I called multiple people within the facility and asked for a breakdown and to better understand and got the run around. It's crazy to me that the humane society is that expensive. I won't be going back.

Everything went well here despite ourselves. My boyfriend was coming into town to visit but he has…read morean anxious dog that hasn't met my anxious cat, so we thought it would be best to board him (he's REALLY good at "school") for the weekend while he was in town. His normal place sent him a last minute email that they had accidentally overbooked and he would be waitlisted. By last minute, I mean 30 mins before we were going to leave and drop him off. In a panic, we found Country Acres, who was able to take him last minute. They are incredible kind and patient, despite us getting every piece of information wrong. We knew his pup was in good hands, because all of the handlers we met were so nice and understanding, and at pick up explained he had actually ran out of food in the morning and they supplemented. The facility is extremely well maintained, offers additional services to really make your furry family member feel at home or pampered.

We have been crushed by this experience and don't want anyone else to have to go through this process. Olivia is someone we would NOT recommend to work with.
