Parking is incredibly easy, as there's a big parking lot. You do want to arrive early for yoga to get a good spot. They have limited thick mats that you can place underneath your mat. This is due to the floor being pretty sturdy. Outside of the yoga studio, there's wipes available. I love Sunday yoga with Kayla. She'll put on the best music and really talk about what we are strengthening with each pose. She gives variations if you want a deeper stretch. The restrooms here are also incredibly nice. I don't really use the rest of the gym. It does look incredibly spacious and nice. For now, I'll stick to yoga but maybe one day I'll actually explore the rest of the gym.

I once told them about split upholstery on one of the machines and a week later, it was fixed! The only thing I don't like about the place is the other patrons. They do things like sit on machines taking up space and not using them. Once I saw a man lay a towel on a machine to save it for himself, then walk away and talk to his friends for 25 minutes. How do you deal with that? If you say something, you might be starting a fight. Who knows?

This facility could use a deep clean and shows its age. Maybe I came on a bad day, Monday in the afternoon, but weights, bands, plates where scattered throughout the gym. The gym was also really hot. Im not sure if the AC was on or not. I would visit again if im in the area and its convenient, but if I have a choice another PF would be my go to.

I called around 12pm and was told they were at lunch and would call back. I didn't get a call back, so I called again around 1:30 and was told they were still out. I waited another two hours (around 3:30pm), called back and was told they'd call me back around 4pm. Finally at 4:30pm, Jared finally called back, only to be told that the pricing we had previously discussed went from $55/month to $65/month. I understood that there was a price difference and was okay with it. Jared had quoted me what was going to be due upfront, roughly $270. I said okay and proceeded to give my credit card information and was told I was good to go. Five minutes later, I get a text from Jared stating the price mentioned did not include the two guest passes, which I had stated from the beginning to include the price. Overall, it was unprofessional to have me waiting four hours for a call just to be told the wrong price after giving my card information.

Further away from my hotel but I remember how much this one was outstanding. Today was no different. This will be my spot when I'm in town in Northern California. They have everything. A little bit older system when it comes to some of the equipment and as well as the massage chairs, but I mean end of the day if I gotta put a coin inside a massage chair to get it to work do I really care? The end result is that a massages and get you what you're looking for so I ain't got no complaints. All the equipment is a little bit older but you know what if you're doing it right it doesn't matter if it's older or new.

My life partner Joe K and I used to come here regularly to work out together. Then his health quickly declined, and our sessions had to stop. After his passing, I wondered if I would ever have the courage to step foot back into this place. The memories are still clear in my mind. At first, I tried to get back into exercising, by walking and riding my bike. Then, I received some amazing information from my medical insurance (namely Kaiser), that I was eligible to sign up for their Kaiser Health Advantage "Silver & Fit" program. I was excited to find out that this perk is included in my health insurance! I was even more excited to discover that Planet Fitness is on their list of participating gyms! That's when I made the decision to get off of the sofa and start getting back into a regular work out routine. My hope was to focus more on myself and get out of this depression. I was impressed that Planet Fitness had made some improvements by upgrading all of their equipment with easier to adjust and use models. They also play overhead upbeat, high energy music that helps improve my mood. I'm starting to feel more fit and have even lost a little weight after making my self improvement commitment. I try to come in when it is less crowded by checking their app and online crowd meter. It's nice that this gym is open 24 hours (except on holidays). My hope is to stay addicted to fitness! Keeping one's mind and body in positive condition is necessary for living a better life. The few disappointments I have, are with some of the lazy fellow members who lack courtesy and cleanliness while using the equipment we all must share. Also, when I use the cardio equipment that have television listening capabilities, they won't tune in to the last 2-3 TV's that are available for viewing. They only connect to the first 8 TV's. Another annoyance is, when the paper towel dispensers are out. Maybe a red light / green light system on top would attract attention of staff members. Or maybe a little flag for customers to flip up like mail boxes have. LOL! (Yes, I have alerted staff members when I get the chance, but it's not always convenient). Adj: Inconsistent…read more This is our second most visited branch in the In-Shape network of fitness locations. So we come here quite a bit. Unfortunately, this location's cleanliness continues to be an area that shows much room for improvement. Some of the more popular cardio machines like the Precor elliptical and the Matrix lateral ellipticals are consistently stained with sweat and/or dirty. Seems no one cleans them, only members like myself wipe the most touched parts down, but those are not necessarily where they get most dirty b/c shoes trekking in mud and leaves would leave behind dirt and gunk on the pedals and no one is wiping those down. Overall, this location is quite big with an extensive selection of equipment, many of which I don't see at some of the smaller locations, so I think there is a lot offered here. However, the sauna and steam rooms are both co-ed which we do not prefer and they are often too crowded w/very hot and sweaty people, so I end up not going in to use the sauna whereas at other locations, the sauna is in the women's locker room and there's usually plenty of space. Speaking of the women's locker room, it is actually pretty clean at this location most of the time. There's not the level of soap scum, grime, left behind wet plastic bags IN showers, flooded/wet floors, and dirty toilets like at the Natomas location. I'm super grateful for that since this Pocket location is much closer to us. There are also plenty of temporary storage lockers and most of them are operational and pretty clean, another good thing compared to locations such as Bond, Laguna, and esp Natomas where the lockers are old, run down, beat up, dirty, and many don't even work anymore. Hopefully, with new members being added during the New Year's period when many people sign up for the gym in line with their new year's resolutions that In-Shape will also devote more staff and give them time to do some deep cleaning. Final note: we do really like the staff here, there's been some staff changes over the several years we've been members, and they've all been quite friendly and helpful. I particular appreciate Ryan, who's always positive and he makes excellent smoothies my whole family enjoys as a reward to ourselves for working out!
