My husband and I enjoyed our time here , it's right in the middle of everything the beautiful town of Skaneateles has to offer , food , shopping , coffee houses , bakery's etc .... The shower in the bathroom is to die for and the loft had a full kitchen so if you don't feel like eating out you can stay in and cook and enjoy your meal at the table right by the doors looking out at the lake , can't wait to plan our vacation for the summer time and bring the kids with us this time , they would love it just as much as we did ! Definitely going back , prices are perfect for such a great location , staff are amazing and attentive if you need anything they are there for you ! WAY better than staying in a hotel if your in the area you should definitely book a room here ! We had a great view of the lake and the patio. It was a perfect night watching the sun set over the water. Our waitress was on top of her game noting the specials, recommendations and quick to answer our questions. Every special sounded delicious and it was hard to choose. Our meal was absolutely delicious. We ordered the spicy lobster pasta and the chicken francaise. Huge chunks of lobster, fresh pasta and a sauce perfectly spiced. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I was a bit surprised they did not serve bread with the entree but TBH we were both stuffed after finishing our meal. There was enough leftover pasta to box up for dinner the next night. After dinner we walked out to the water and checked out the boats. Ladies, be careful where you step on the dock. Seems like the geese like it here too! The back patio is huge, and has a dedicated bar. Attire was both dressy and casual and the clientele was a mix of young and old. They have a large horseshoe parking lot, and you are able to drive right up to the door to unload, and load. The inn rooms are reasonably priced. This restaurant makes chili for the annual local Chilly Chili race in Cazenovia, and this year the race was postponed after they had made their batch. The spa staff were very nice and took time to explain everything to me, since it was a while since I had been there. I found out at the front desk there would be a skincare event at 11 which fit in perfectly with my visit. I changed into my bathing suit, put on my robe and went into the quiet room, got some water and relaxed until my name was called. My masseuse took me into the room asking my preferences also any areas that needed more attention or to avoid. I got the Monet massage with my choice of scented oil. The experience was first class....my masseuse, Michelle, listened to everything I said. I went to the skincare event and came home with some lovely new items and a nice gift bag of products. I went back into the locker room to enjoy the steam room and the sauna. Then to the heated outdoor whirlpool ( they have a bar outside and a few light food items you can order). I knew I was going to have lunch overlooking the little bridge by the waterlily pond. The hostess was incredibly nice, it wasn't busy so we talked and she told me about the other locations. My French onion soup was some of the best I've had, full rich, flavored broth that was NOT too salty, nice soft bread inside and warm melty gruyere cheese. I had a turkey salad sandwich with bacon, tomato, lettuce and avocado on their homemade cranberry, walnut bread. It came with truffle Parmesan thin fries. The meal was excellent, and the service was great. Everybody I encountered was friendly, polite and helpful. The high level of hospitality was evident with everyone I encountered. The facility was clean and the entire time I was there all the little things were constantly being taken care of. The job that my wife and I have requires us to work some rather odd hours so when we do stay somewhere being able to sleep at some rather odd hours is always a bonus. And by saying being able to sleep what I mean is people checking out at 10:00 a.m. with their kids running up and down the halls making noise and the hotel staff cleaning the rooms sometimes having loud conversations. All of this is perfectly fine usually because typically nobody is trying to sleep at 10:00 in the morning except for me. This place worked out well because they have individual bungalows. There is no hallway to run up and down and make noise and make noise, there are neighbors but there's a space in between each bungalow so you're not going to hear them. We didn't actually check in for my Friday night stay until about 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. It was nice and quiet and we were able to get to sleep rather quickly. The room itself was super clean, The kitchen did not have a stove or a hot plate however we weren't really in need of one. They did have some snacks available as complimentary in the room. Nothing huge I mean a couple granola bars and some oatmeal and a couple little bags of chips however compared to other places I've stayed that offer nothing except a vending machine down the noisy hallway... Yeah this was much better :-) If you're looking to do something in the Skaneateles area , this place is literally 2 minutes down the road from the center of town. They of course offer a late check in arrangement that I was very happy to take advantage of. They leave your room key in a secure area with a note that has any information you may need and an emergency phone number if you need to wake them up for anything. So I by all means recommend staying here If you're in the area.

Our niece and nephew had a rough night due to street (truck) noise, our other upstairs guests heard the street noise as well but were less bothered. My husband and I had no issues sleeping. We will be back.

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and weren't sure what to expect. This place exceeded our expectations. The mansion itself is beautiful. Every time we walked around the house we discovered more treasures, everything from the molding to antique pieces. The property has a lovely view of the Erie Canal. Each morning there was coffee waiting or us outside our door on a beautifully arranged tray. Then we went down to breakfast. I hate to repeat myself but the table was also beautifully arranged. We tried several different dishes during our stay, each one delicious. Our host, John and Rebecca, were there for our every need, without being intrusive. After running around all day It was so relaxing to return to our room each night. We asked several relatives to stop by and see the place. Our Aunt was thrilled as she had driven by hundreds of times and never been inside. She was not disappointed. One extra point. They have a friendly dog named Riley who helped us forget how much we missed our own pets. We plan to return here each time we return to Syracuse.
