Horrible store. An employee named "TY" was not helping customers in need but was kicking people out of the store.

I really like this location! Granted it will not have the latest and greatest but they always manage to have something I have not seen anywhere else. It is an outlet store but the prices are fantastic so you definitely find a bargain or two. If you are visiting on a weekend you may even find the shoes on the back wall an extra 20% off the already discounted price. The best think is that the inventory is always changing so if you see something you like you need to see it, like it and buy it. Chances are if you leave and come back a day or even a week later it may not be there. The store is always clean, the associates are always helpful. Do not let the long discourage you if it is long, it moves fast and they do have floating registers for those who are paying by card to help speed up the check out process as well. Hopefully when you visit the air conditioning will be working because it as not today and it felt like an outdoor sporting event inside the store. In a weird way it kinda helped because some folks turned right back around and walked out it was so hot, so they left more deals and steals for those of us who toughed it out. Poor shopping experience here; nasty deteriorated in store shopping bags they CONSTANTLY push for you to place your items in while you shop; and no return policy. This is the only Nike store in the DMV where they don't take returns, but they also don't let you try on the clothes an hour before their closing. I had one of the associates on the floor indirectly admit that they had my size in a tank top, while I was in the store for a while. When I asked the guy at the register if they had my size in the back, he said probably and radioed the others, and my friend said she saw the original lady I ask wave to him to signal him to say no. They didn't mind me buying a size too large and I think that's crappy customer service, considering they don't let you try on the clothes or return or exchange; all sales are final they say. That associate set the bar low. I know to stick to Arundel Mills, Oxon Hill, H Street in DC, Silver Spring or whichever ones are in the area, most of which accept returns if they dear not let you try on a single running tank top. How can you have a no return policy and the dressing rooms stay closed. The manager said they didn't have staff to man the dressing room but associates in the store are not exactly helping customers. They're putting stuff on hangers and organizing racks. So screw the customers or lose money for Nike when people don't buy because they can't try on clothes. read more

Typically I'd stop in here 2-3 times per week but i think it's just unfair to the customer experience and inconsiderate to just have 2 check out lines with the current state of affairs. This Nike outlet is the best. This is where I go for my clearance hunting. You can always find a great deal for almost anything here. I like how the women's clothes are organized by size. In one rack you could see the sizes so you can go straight to the rack of your size and then find whatever you want. That way you won't waste time looking in a rack that doesn't have your size or finding something and getting your hopes up because it's not your size. My favorite find is the shoes. Since I can fit kids shoes, I can pay less for what I want. Recently I got a pair of shoes for $9.99! How awesome is that. The employees there are helpful as well. Sometimes the employees in the shoes area doesn't have the device that can check if there's something your size so the wait would be a little bit longer, but it's still worth it. read more

I went to the store to return an item I bought a couple of weeks back, but at the register, the store manager told me that "we don't accept returns", which is fine with me if I knew that in advance! With the current promotion and additional 10% military discount, I was able to outfit the family in Flyknit running shoes and grab a new workout top for a very reasonable price. These things retail for $150, they were going at the $45 mark in colors that you'd actually want to be seen working up a sweat in! The inventory is constantly in flux so if you see something you like, don't hesitate! Execute that deal! I came in because I remembered I had a coupon for $50 off an $100 purchase and it expired that day. Not bad! I guess that means I spent a lot on my kids in a previous visit. I headed straight to the back of the store to look for some slides and elite socks. I was sidetracked by a few sale signs on the basketball shoes. Then a young gentleman came over to assist me with a pair I had my eye on. They didn't have my size on the rack, so he offered to check in the back for me. They were totally out of my size in the color I requested (black), but he brought me a couple of pairs in the other color offered - red. I wasn't a fan at first sight. Then I tried them on. They were quite comfortable but booooy were they red. Like firecracker red. Like eye-opening, 'notice me only' red. Like nothing on this earth should be this red but fire, red. The exact color of my basketball team's uniform/jersey. Smh. Red also happens to be my favorite color, just not on a pair of basketball shoes. So as I'm looking in the mirror at these RED shoes on my feet and I realized how old I was because I hated them. Previously it sold both clearance and normal stock merchandise, now it will only sell clearance merchandise. This means HUGE discounts for shoppers. Expect minimum 20-30% off EVERYTHING. It's rare that Nike merchandise gets discounted this low. Whenever I visit, there's always some type of discount. Today I was able to get a pair of Nike SB low top shoes for $14 retail price was $29.99 and it was marked down to $17.00 and I got 20% off that. I've posted a pic, they're pretty sweet. I think it's insane that even if you try to return an item 3 days after you purchase it and you have your receipt they won't do a refund. This is not because of Covid. This is the new store policy. My mom came here looking for a pair of walking shoes. She wanted something with really good cushion and wide front. The sale associate was very helpful with recommending the type of sole that provides really good cushioning. Since it was a Nike Outlet Store, most of the shoes made did not have wide front. The sale associate went through several sections of shoes trying to find the ones that fit my mom's criteria, but unfortunately couldn't find anything. Yesterday, 12/12/18 we visited the Nike store at Potomac Mills Mall looking for shoes for an 'Angel Tree' boy who asked for 'sneakers or dress shoes. Knowing nothing about what young boys like today and how we could stay within our $25 limit for the 'Angel Tree' wish, we asked LUKE, for assistance in knowing which were boys and which were girls. LUKE took it to a whole new level of customer service and Christmas Spirit. When we told him our story, that shoes had been bought from Nike and lost and we were desperately trying to grant this young man's Christmas wish, he helped us find a pair that would make any young man happy with a price tag of $49.99. He said, stay here and wait a moment, please and after a while came back with a sticker of $24.99 on the box!!!! He escorted us to the cash register to make sure we were given the 'special' price and with my husbands Military discount even the tax was covered under the $25. limit. I cried tears of joy and I know there is a young man out there who is going to be smiling from ear to ear because of LUKE's outstanding customer service and huge heart!! I waited 40 minutes for them to open to get my refund because they had a very great reputation. I went in to return a pair of shoes that my wife bought for my sons birthday. I have seen so many good reviews about this place and was excited because I love Nike. After getting in the store the cashier and the gentleman outside yells to us that they are not excepting returns or exchanges and that all sales are final. Even though my wife bought the merchandise at a earlier date we waited to ask to see if they would give us an exchange or do something because the shoes that I bought for my son was not the correct size and had not been worn. They informed me that all sales are final that they could not exchange it or give me a store credit or refund for the shoe and I would have to buy the correct size with concession. After finding a pair of shoes that I would like to purchase for my son's birthday I asked the cashier if they could hold them for 30 minutes at the front while I go and get a second opinion. She said she could not hold him at all because it was a clearance store. I asked the manager if he had anything they could do as far as customer service to showcase there customer service. She repeated that all sales are final and she cannot do anything at all. I return the shoes to the shelf. We went down the mall to the rec room where they had Nikes on sale buy one get one 50% off. Very disappointed about the all sales final and that she could not hold his shoes for 30 minutes and no returns or exchanges. If anyone needs a pair of 4.5 boys Nike sneakers I paid $59 for them. Totally lost money on this sales even though the receipt stated differently and it's clearly written. The Rack-room definitely will give you a refund or exchange and they have better sales and customer service that was excellent . Sorry Nike Clearance. Very poor customer service.
