Okay, we wanted to buy three pairs of shoes! Obviously we needed to try couple shoes and the people who work upstairs weren't helpful. They seemed to be annoyed from the moment we got there. We liked the shoes but we decided not to buy it from here and go to another branch (at the grove) Many many guys were upstairs but only one seems to be enthusiastic about the job! I was trying on a shoe it was my first time very excited too finally own my first pair of dunks and the worker comes up too me and snatches the shoe saying I can't try it on he walks away and I told him I was going to buy these he gets the pair and rudely tells me he is going too charge them I honestly felt I was attacked because of my ethnicity!! So as I'm getting charged I notice he put the shoe that I tried on in the shoe box and he replaces takes out the new one ! Cartier in the men's department is super helpful, fast, and funny! They don't have a crazy amount of shoe options but they will assist you in ordering online and you can customize a lot of things too! This is my neighborhood Nike store. I went in today, Black Friday the worst shopping day of the year, in my opinion! I was looking for a jacket for long distance walking that is pretty light weight, yet durable and warm for those "frosty" Marina mornings that we have maybe twice a year! All kidding aside, it has been cold and my North Face jackets are a bit too warm and bulky. I had the pleasure of working with Allen (I hope I spelled it right), the store manger. He must have shown me six different jackets and knew the merchandise backward and forward. He had a great personality and helped me pick out the perfect jacket. I asked him about shoes as I replace mine every six months. I also commented to him that last time I was in my sales associate had a bit of an attitude. He was genuinely concerned about this and helped me again in shoes. He gave me great suggestions and personally walked me up to the register. This place has most arrogant employees. Every time I come here, I get attitude. Today, my kid was shopping for shoes and nike has no bathroom for customers. They sent me to Nordstrom which was closed and then to public restroom at the mall which was full of homeless. I am about to spend over $200 on kids shoes and they refused to let me use their employee restroom. This was super frustrating. I ended up going to true food restaurant which let me use their restroom without dining there. I will not come back here again. read more

So I found some Nike shoes I liked. They weren't anything special but so what popular for my size. Every store updated their system saying they were out of stock. Nike on Santa Monica however said they had them in stock. I tried to call before I took the 40 minute drive but they are not picking up the phones, as I learned first hand and from all the other reviews. Anyways I got there, one guy goes "no we don't have them but if we do they will be in that section with the other assistant." No luck with him and no concern for why their system says they're in stock. That was that. Went to foot locker down the street. They didn't have the color in my size but were able to let me try on another color to see if I liked the comfort, then ordered me the shoes with free shipping to my house. Worst experience with Nike ever. I walked in with a good idea of what shoe I wanted and proceeded to carry the shoe around trying to approach any of the sales people to find my size. Finally I went to the check out counter for help who flagged a women. This was 11am on a Thursday and she had no reason to be rude. I asked for a 7 1/2 and when she returned she informed me they did not have a 7 1/2 or an 8 but they did carry a 7. I usually size down with shoes so I asked to see the 7 after which she made me measure my feet in front of her to prove I could in fact wear a 7. After going back to retrieve the shoe she then informed that they did not in fact have the 7. Then, when I asked if she could call the nearest Nike store (at the Grove), she told me it'd be faster if I did it myself. She walked away before even offering me the phone number. I waited on hold for 10 minutes. The first couple of which she wandered aimlessly around the store. So yeah would not recommend. read more

FREEE!!! All location How can you say no to free workouts?? Yea you may be filmed by onlookers but hey who doesn't want to be Instagram famous. Check-in is a breeze. For newbies you must first sign in via and iPad near the entrance of the Nike Store. They also conveiently hold keys, bags, or any other items you wish them to secure. The actual workout is high intensity for about 45 mins straight. The first 15 consist of a run around the of perimeter Santa Monica mall. The rest of the class focuses on high intensity constant movement. No break in between workouts. The exercises include burpees, jumping jacks, squat lounges and etc. Its all using your own body weight so don't worry about bringing your own weights. Tuesdays the class in Santa Monica begin at 6:30pm. Parking is free for 90 mins in the mall parking garage. Perfect place for free and great workouts. The trainer is intense. Highly recommend!! Tips: You are outdoors so dress warmly because it does get nippy. They have music so it makes it easy to zone out. Not sure after how many but you will receive a free shirt from Nike!! read more

This run group is really as good as it gets in Santa Monica. I've tried a lot of different groups and the Nike Santa Monica Run Club is a ton of fun. There are people from ALL different skill sets, levels and speed. There are several pacers that run with you and tell you where the different turnaround spots are. You can choose to run 3, 5, or 7 miles. I like this group because everyone is very nice. It's a very casual setting and there's no pressure to go faster than you can. They usually have snacks set up for when you arrive and cold drinks when you get back! They also give out really cool SM Run Club performance t-shirts to people that consistently show up. It's a nice way to encourage people to keep coming! read more

Was in town for the Good Burger pop up in La and like everyone else why not spend the night in Santa Monica!!! Walked around Nike to see if I could purchase any cute souvenir possibly one I can wear haha. This review is NOT for Nike Santa Monica but for Nike Santa Monica's Run Club (which operates out of their Santa Monica flagship store). The run club meets on Sundays at 1030A and Wednesday at 630P. There are 3, 5, and 7 mile routes. Because some of the runners are training for Nike Women's Half Marathon in SF, a 9 mile route and 11 mile route will soon be added into the mix. As you can see it can be pretty serious. But it's not only about pounding the pavement. Run Club is incredibly fun and energizing! Why Run Club Rocks: You can tell that Gary (the leader and organizer) and his pace leaders put a lot of effort into making the Run Club valuable to its members. Why You Should Stay Away: This is probably just me and I'm sure you won't have this issue... I like bright colors and spending money on kicks, tank tops, crops, hoodies etc. Being in the store each week is like kryptonite for my wallet. read more

This is the new Nike Store at the newly opened Santa Monica Place. 3 stories of shoes, t-shirts, and sporting goods. Place is a runner's and baller's paradise. Place was packed as was the newly opened mall. I'm glad there's a Nike store on the Westside (west of the 405), cause previously you would have to haul over to BH for the nearest one. Princess needs some new kicks for gym class in the Fall. Decided to use those gift cards they send you for all the dough you spend on your American Express Card. There was one lady who was kicking ass, helping everyone, while her co-workers sucked ass. She looked and ran around like a marathoner. She helped us get the right shoe and size - WMNS Air Max Team Size 8.5. Yes, that's a big shoe for a 10 yr old, but Princess has some big feet. read more

Finally got a chance to join this group on a Wednesday evening. Decided to join their 3 mile group. Took a little bit figuring out what the different pace groups are since no one formally says how fast they are ahead of the run. Next time I'll be sure to find some people comparable to my pace ahead of time, instead of having to find them after the run gets started. I ended up with a group of people that tended to go a bit faster then me, who then continued on for the 5 mile loop. As I turned around I spotted a guy who went even faster. Since it was a shorter run, I decided to stick with him for the rest of the run. While a tougher pace then I usually put myself through, it was nice to see what I can do with some friendly "competition" as motivation to keep me going faster. Was great because they had some coconut water, water, and little Luna Bar samples after we got done... Came out here tonight for my first Nike Training Club and wow...what a workout! Classes are FREE every Tues and Thursday at 6:30 and rotate between Santa Monica and Hollywood. Trainer Ryan was pretty hardcore...super high intensity training, such focus on the abs (which is my super weakest part of the body) so it was awesome!! 6:30pm is a bit early for me but if i get out early you bet i'll be back! oh yeah, and they give out a FREE tshirt to the MVP male and female of the night! read more

Now the first time I heard of Nike NTC was back in January when I was told about the NTC Tour. Luckily they had one stop in Santa Monica. Nike NTC is no joke. It's a great way to get exercise and for those who are serious about their fitness I advise you check this out. After the NTC Tour I heard they have free classes here at the Santa Monica Nike town every Tuesday at 630 PM. Being led in exercises by the Nike Master Trainer Ryan is the right way to get trained on a Tuesday night. Music. Fitness goers. Exercise. They'll take you through a 45-60 minute intense workout, but will allow you to go at your own pace. But try and keep up and see the rewards later. After the workout they have water for you and protein cookies that are delicious. They even have various prizes every night from t-shirts to shoes. Don't miss out. They also have a NTC down at Alpha in Venice Beach on Wednesdays. So if you miss Tuesday, be sure to go out Wednesday. Just Do It read more

I went to the group meeting for the first time last week. I forgot my running bag and shoes, so I bought a new pair of shoes in the store (I didn't realize you could 'borrow' the Lunar Flyknits for the duration of the run). Missing my shorts, I had to run in some light colored Diesel jeans and I overheard quite a few people questioning in disbelief if 'that guy is wearing pants or what??' Well, clearly I was and they might have even bestowed the nickname "khakis" unto me. Here's to hoping nobody remembers me tonight. Still, they made 5 miles in tight jeans comfortable and memorable. Everyone was really nice and supportive, especially Will, the organizer. He kept me running when all I wanted was for the chafing to stop. Free water at the end was a nice touch. Meant to write a review for a while now... this place is terrible. I needed a new pair of training shoes so I went in after work. No one acknowledged our existence for a good 20 minutes. I had to track down someone who worked there who was busy talking to someone else that worked there. Made eye contact multiple times with shoes in hand and still got nothing. The person who went to get my shoes didn't know shit about them and didn't seem to want to help me out. Won't see any money from me ever again. First floor is ladies and kids, and there's a wide stair case in the middle of the floor that leads you to the men's upstairs (or the elevator). We just had the worst experience at this Nike store and we are Nike junkies who buy a ton of Nike stuff everywhere we go. First off 5 stars for the regular staff. Young kids who are eager to help and are pleasant. But 0 stars goes to the manager Ernesto who lied to my face. He was offering a special promotion but only approached select people about it. So when I asked the employee about the offer she said, "Oh he didn't tell you about it?" And flagged him over. Then he came over and told me it was a bounce back offer. Which is bullshit because he offered it to random people who were trying the same exact stuff on. Then he came back and said "I'll honor the offer at the front desk". But when we got to the front desk he said the offer does not apply. Next to us another client was checking out & thanked him for the same offer he just denied me TWICE. We already dropped $300 and would have easily spent more. I wanted to buy a jacket but because he left such a sour impression on me, I refuse to give additional business to him. I don't know if managers are exempt from helping people or being really selective about who they want to help but that's the kind of feeling I got. Very unwelcome. I walked out feeling unsettled and unhappy with my experience. Management should never power trip like that on truly nice customers who are looking to make a purchase, big or small. As the manager, you of all people should have offer the best customer service as you are setting the standard for your employees. Just like Ben H, I expected the largest athletic shoe supplier to have a super kick ass store grand opening. There was also an Yelp event happening for the occasion, so I jumped on the Fwy to see what I thought was going to be equivalent of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory for Nike. Big time let down! Yes, they have multiple floors but unless ur into running, soccer or re-released 80's athletic clothing, this place missed the mark in my opinion. Back in the day ('92) I visited niketown in Chicago. Wow...indoor gym, MJ stuff everywhere, part museum- part store...that was the read deal. Lots of neon, short ass running shorts, and expensive shoes. What a waste of space cause u can get better deals online or at Eastbay. One pro, you can check out in person the new line of shoes and try them on. Also, they have a sample or prototype running shoe of Prefontaine from Oregon. That's cool! However, as a SC fan, the whole entire state of Oregon sucks(for obvious reasons) , but that is just my opinion. Probably wont go back and definitely not shop here. I am not likely to drop $150 on running or basketball shoes anymore. They don't make me run faster, jump higher, or play better. read more

A characteristic that's indicative of Nike stores is their big spaces and lack of inventory. Perhaps the 5 feet between racks serves a dramatic purpose, but I was under the impression that this store is here to turn a profit. I'm sure the lease is through the roof for this space. Wouldn't it be prudent to move more units? Compared to Nike Outlets, wait, you can't compare Nike stores to their outlets. At the outlets, their sole purpose is to move inventory as quickly as possible. Outlets have multiple clearance racks and other markdown opportunities. I get that Nike is trying to showcase new products, but I'll be the first to call myself a sucker if I buy a pair of Hyperfuse's at retail, when I can get the exact same pair at an outlet at 50% off. To be honest, I was expecting a layout similar to their store at the Forum Shoppes in Vegas. Expect disappointment... read more

Great workout at the beach!! I was afraid of hitting traffic, coming from Thousand Oaks, but I arrived at the Nike store with plenty of time to walk around the mall. Parking at the mall is wonderful; the first 90 minutes are free and then it's $1 for each additional hour. I met my friend there for our first NTC workout, signed in at the store and jogged over to the bluff for some fast-paced squats, burpees, and lots of other "moves" that made me sore for the next 2 days! Sprints on the sandy beach ended our workout and I was ready for some dinner!!! Thank you, NTC; I'll be back! read more

What rude service I encountered coming here in the late afternoon/evening on June 4 2016. No one greeted us when we walked in, then my mom walked up to a sales associate and asked where are the jogging pants located. She looked at my mom and walked away. I was so surprised by her attitude. If she was busy, she could have asked another sales associate to come over and show us. She was just standing there, until we came over, she then looked at us and walked away after my mom asked her a question. Because of that experience, my mom wanted to buy some clothes at Nike but because of her we went elsewhere to buy jogging pants. Over my multiple visits to this store I've had a net loss of shoes: I've never made a purchase here but I've returned a few pairs that I've ordered from Nike.com (super easy and beats mailing them back) and donated some old sneakers to be recycled. Overall the store seems very nicely put together and I've never had problems getting my business done whether it be at the register or at the shoe racks trying on the latest and greatest gear. This store is definitely more a boutique style store so don't expect to find some hidden bin of clearance items lurking in the corner of the store: I would definitely expect to pay full retail prices when getting stuff here. My friend K took me here last week.. I was unprepared, needless to say! It was intense, motivating and... intense. We actually were a little late in joining, so we missed the cardio part in the beginning, so we warmed up & jumped right into doing lunges, squats, and burpees. All of the exercises are bodyweight exercises, so there is no equipment except you.. and maybe a partner! There were a few exercises where you partner up and use your friend as equipment hehe. :) I think for this reason I would recommend bringing a friend (aka someone you don't mind getting their sweat on you lol) The main workout last week took place inside of Santa Monica Place in front of the Nike store... there were a lot of people with their cell phones out taking videos/photos. It was a little uncomfortable for me lol but I just kept on going! Also the concrete hurt my hands so I recommend maybe bringing an extra towel to lay down on the ground as well as a towel to wipe off your sweat. Bring lots of water--you'll need it. They also do MVP of the day-- so bring your best & you may win a free t-shirt! Free class, free parking. How could you say no? We also walked over to a juicery afterward to feel extra healthy. :D read more
