Even though they had the exact shoes I was looking for, if you don't look like you're in there to spend money (I was in workout gear), then they seriously don't even acknowledge you. I wandered around the store for at least 15 mins trying to get the attention of one of the associates, but every time I made eye contact, they quickly rushed to the back room. I finally went to the register and asked for shoes in my size. They asked if I wanted to try them on, but I was so ready to leave that I said "no, I'm sure they'll be fine", then paid and left. I had to take the time to write a review about the most outstanding associate at Shoe Palace I have ever met! My experience with shoe stores has always left a negative taste in my mouth, the aggression, being watched, followed, and asked a million irrelevant questions. This weekend was altogether different. The young lady named, Tianna at the Ladera Heights store approached my son Noel and I with warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help. I was rewarding my son with a pair of shoes for his good behavior, and she picked up on it. I respect that she spoke to Noel as if he were the VIP client and focused on what he wanted. Based solely on her great customer service, we ended up purchasing 3 pairs of shoes that day, instead of one! She simply went above and beyond to ensure the right style, the perfect fit, and that we were completely satisfied. We will be back next month and can only hope that she is there to serve us. Bought a sweater and because of Covid the employee places the purchase in the bag. When i got home i noticed they did not remove the security sensor. So i went back got there right as they were closing. I showed them the tag and one of the employees let the "manager" know but said the manager couldn't remove it and to go back tomorrow. If i purchase something during Covid is because i need it. Aside from their negligence i had to deal with them being rude while the manager was on her phone talking away instead of "closing". I hope i receive a call from their supervisor because not only was i not helped but the "manager" refused to give me her name. Of course. I usually go to the shoe palace in the Westfield Mall in Culver City because it is closer, but I think I prefer this one better. The music isn't blaring loud and this store is organized and clean. Sometimes I get so busy that I have no time to shop for cute shoes so I popped in. I was greeted by a friendly staff assistant manager Cameron. So I went to the shoe palace on Centinela and La Tijera two days ago and had horrible customer service. And when I said horrible it was painful and a complete inconvenience and waste of time. I'm not sure who decided this new system of having a shoe store be open but not be able to go in and even look at the shoes for sale. And on top of that not able to try on shoes to see if it's the right size until purchased also with the rule of no refunds even if it doesn't fit. First off I'm waiting in line with my boyfriend @nvmba3 and we are standing on our social distance line and we both step ahead a few steps to look closer to at the shoe display to have to painful squint and see if we can even get the slightest look of all the shoes in the back. And this man cuts us and then my bf tells him that we are in front of him. And then the other same guy starts telling the man named Justin who works at this shoe palace what shoe he wants and then my boyfriend has to tell them that we were in line first and that we need to be helped first. And then when our turn comes up this woman by the name of Ashley asked me for my ID card and credit card. In our head we are assuming that maybe that's a protocol for the corona or some form of verification. She doesn't verbally express and type of background, or reasoning for taking and asking for the card she just asks for it. Then she charged MY card 142$!!!! For the shoes of the man who continuously couldn't wait his turn who on top of that already left. And on top of that she gave me an extremely rude and irritable attitude for me being upset at the fact that she charged me 142$ of my last 200$ of my credit card. With this COVID-19 crisis/pandemic and me struggling financially due to unemployment and being laid off this is completely unhelpful. I'm out here struggling and now I have to WAIT 7-10 business days to get my money back for another mans shoes..??? With no type of apology given to me, and I expect compensation for my inconvenience. And on top of that i purchase a shoe that doesn't fit and I immediately bring it back and they argue with my boyfriend and tell us that we can't get a refund. However u guys are running things down there it's not working and it wasted 2 hours of my day for no shoes and 198$ less on my account that's currently pending because of improper, unprofessional & disrespectful service. Even after they messed up they still give us an attitude when I'm the customer who should be apologized to.
