Had such a great experience at the Nike store today! As a 35-year-old working mom with two little kids (3 and 5), finding time to shop for myself is a rare treat--but this visit totally made my day. The store had such a cool, energetic vibe, and everything was super well organized. Huge shoutout to Choeyang, who helped me from start to finish. She was incredibly kind, patient, and really listened to what I needed. She made great suggestions and helped me find pieces that are not only stylish but also perfect for my busy lifestyle--whether I'm chasing after my kids, running errands, or sneaking in a quick workout. I left feeling refreshed, confident, and excited about my updated wardrobe. Honestly, it was one of the best retail experiences I've had in a long time. Will 100% be recommending this Nike store--and Choeyang!--to all my friends and followers. #NikeSF #WorkingMomStyle #ThankYouChoeyang #ComfortAndStyle

I would encourage you to ride a bike (tons of bike parking) or take public transit. There is not a lot of parking for cars here, although you could park on the street. I also shop at REI, but much prefer Sports Basement. I even use their free 1lb propane tank refills (after initial purchase of a refillable tank) and I feel that that is a very smart thing to do give that the normal propane canisters are totally non-recyclable and considered hazardous waste, so you cannot and should not even throw them away. I found a hazardous waste disposal/recycle site where I got rid of mine, good riddance. The refillable ones they sell at Sports Basement is the way to go. Sports Basement has a good return policy and for the most part friendly people working there. I did run in to what seemed like an incompetent phone support person however. I had called the 800 number to cancel a preorder on a bike and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about, and ended up telling me I would have to call the store I had set it for pick up at. It turns out, I was able to cancel the preorder via the 'AI' chatbot on the website. I'm really not sure why the phone rep. wasn't able to help with that.

Price wise, there were actually some t-shirts that were not ridiculously overpriced, and were really nice. They were sectioned off by price, so that made finding one a lot easier. Lots of clothing, but their hat and cap selection was kind of limited, but this is a very small store, so it's understandable. I was here before the Cal/Duke football game, so it was pretty crowded that day!!

I usually see the same people when I go in, perhaps it's family operated? I definitely trust the guys there, they have a security guard and oftentimes, if you have too many bags you'll have to leave them by the door. There are so many different emblem T- Shirts to choose from, some larger sizes (than small), and various colors to choose from. Sweats, Back packs, discount rack, are neat too. I've worn the sweats too and they are comfortable and warm. Standard UCB designs, a staple! A must- have for winter in dorms. They also sell back packs, water bottles, mugs, and flags. And lots of fun stickers, key chains, and other accessories, too! I purchased a large yellow button with blue logo of the bear. One of a kind. An Oski Bear keychain, and a magnet with the Campanille. All things I still cherish until this day. Check them out.

DECENT VARIETY I…read morecame here on the Sunday before the first day of classes on Wednesday. I went to two stores prior to Bear Basis. I was looking for California Golden Bears clothes I could wear to a sports center/ gym while representing my alma mater. The two stores I went to prior to Bear Basics were more specialized in the merch but I couldn't find what I liked. When I came here I was hoping to find a t-shirt and short that appealed to me. After searching I found the items I liked. The t-shirt I bought had the insignia of the university. Also I bought a pair of blue short with a Cal logo. Both items were Champion brand. I liked the store because of the variety of Cal apparel. What made this store appealing to me while I was a student was the abundance of vintage graphic t-shirts. This was the place where I bought two Beatles album cover t-shirts: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Abbey Road. When I looked at the vintage shirts upstairs I noticed there were lack of selections unlike before. The quirkiness appeal of this place is gone, but Bear Basics is a nice store to purchase decent apparel.

The selection is horrible, the prices are even worse. They do not take returns after 7 days. If you…read morego within 7 days they only do store credit and will not give you cash back if your new selection is a bit cheaper. Do not come here to get your merch!!

Because this is an employee store, do not expect to find the latest and greatest. But they are improving with their inventory selection IMO. Fairly consistent business while we were here both days. But then again, we also get to travel on off peak days and times. I would NOT want to come here on weekends. Atmosphere - Must go through security to enter the parking lot. Plenty of parking. There were at least 3 customers here today with dogs?!?! Service - These two visits were good. Price - Ski jackets were $350 ish... but with the 40% off and an additional 10% off, I got them for $225 each! Good deal. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1938; thank you for inviting others to join your employee store. I appreciate the additional discounts.

This place does require patience. You'll need to walk in circles, dig through racks, and really search. But if you're willing to put in the time, it pays off. The prices have gone up a bit since the early days, but compared to retail and their standard outlet stores, but the deals are still amazing. This place is the OG. If you allow time for parking and give yourself a solid hour to browse, you're almost guaranteed to walk out with a treasure or two. It is huge with two different sides. Due to its size, there are more options of everything. I generally at least find one item when I make a trip out here. I've found a long down jacket before for the price of $60 when MSRP'd at $400. Denali and Nuptse jackets are rare to find. You will have to take your time and look at everything. Expect to be in there for 30 min to an hour if you like to sort through everything. Employees have always been nice and helpful. I always stop by when heading out to the bay or passing by. I never make a trip just to go to this store, or else you put yourself up for disappointment. It's an outlet! Like I said- hit or miss.

Set some boxes by me and I tried them on and then said what do I do if I want to get a different size that you don't have in stock. He said he can order it online. That was it. Did not ask me any questions about what I was looking for or offered to make any suggestions. Visit Two- I took a couple of different sandals off the shelf and waited until I saw an older clerk, not just someone out of high school or college, , putting things away just out of sight in the stock area. Told him what I wanted and which shoe sizes I needed to try. He came back with whole sizes in one type of shoe, Chaco brand, and the other one he said they only had this one size and they didn't carry any half sizes in that shoe either. I said well that's too big for me, there's nothing else? No. He didn't ask me any questions either. Finally when he came back out, I said do you happen to have a size 39? (That's a European sizing.) He said yes we do. I said, that's 8.5, a half size and you just told me you didn't have any half sizes in that shoe. I asked if they had a different color then black, so he went into the stockroom and found a color preferable to my liking. So ended up purchasing that shoe. But if you're working in shoes there, how could you not know that European sizes and how they correspond? REI used to staff knowledgeable people in each section, including shoes. Do you think they would be interested in making a sale. I don't know what management is like these days there, but I'm a member and it's a huge disappointment.

ALL MY HEALTHCARE FIELD WORKERS!!!! Check them out!!!…read more I have been dying at work due to me wearing the wrong shoes, and everyone has been telling me to try Hoka shoes. I didn't even know how to pronounce the shoes when I called lol. I was on Google and was trying to find where I can buy some from that was close by... I didn't really feel like going far or a lot of other shoppers in the store, crowed.. just too much social anxiety. So I found this very cute aesthetic pleasing " nurse shoe store " I call it online. I called and spoke to Victor on the phone, he's the OWNER!!! Super cool chill guy...great vibes - I loved his vibe in fact. He told me what they had in store and what most Nurses go for but he had exactly what I needed. I came on by, he brought out sooooo many different brands for me to try on and even different styles in the different brands. He took his time with me, he was not rushed. Didn't mind helping me actually find a great shoe that worked for me, he even let me try on each and every one of them, measured them for me to make sure they were a great fit... There was me and another customer in the store and also another store associate I believe name Andrew!!! Everyone was super chill, it was definitely vibes. We all talked about shoes and the shoes we were looking into and I felt so comfortable. I really want everyone to come check out this store!!!! It's so hard to find a shoe store that FOCUS on COMFORTABILITY rather than TRENDY!!! And idk about you, but I'm getting up there in age and being comfortable means more to me than anything!!!! I want everyone to check them out!!! Parking right in front of the store. Which is also a score!!!! Oh yes, best part!!!! GREAT PRICES!!!!!!!!!!!!
