David at this location was so incredibly helpful and patient with me. He brought me replacement options and discussed them with me, really helping me prevent choice paralysis. Updating this review to a one star because of their shady membership business practice. We never signed up for the membership ourselves and gave the points to a family member that shopped here often. When the billing cycle came we were charged the highest membership level under our own name on our card. When we tried to call customer service to cancel they basically told us there wasn't anything they could do and we had to dispute it through the credit card company. If you need a fitting use their free service and take your business elsewhere. You can find better color options, customer service, and even products at competitors without worrying about membership fees. read more

Welp! I did it. I finally decided that in 2026...we are back to running again and this time, properly prepared to avoid injury. Since everyone is bringing back 2016...so I am. I explained to Joey my running journey and with age, I wanted to be kinder to my body. He was a tremendous help with going over my 3D digital fit finder results. (Treadmill walk and foot scan). He had recommendations and allowed me test the shoes by walking around, and ask questions. I was able to select a shoe and socks. Though the color I wanted wasn't available, he ordered it and I'm patiently waiting for them to be delivered. Coming here gets you excited to run again!! I cannot wait to start up. I've never enjoyed running. And while I was in the gym for strength training, cardio was limited to walking about 5 kilometers daily. As I rehab from surgery and ongoing treatments, I'm encouraged to return to the gym and incorporate the treadmill. So, I bought running shoes--thick and light Brooks with a stable sole. I was fitted by a great guy who took a lot of time to explain the features, measure my feet, and suggest the type of shoes that would be best for me. This was one of the worst online shopping experiences I've had. I ordered a pair of shoes and heard nothing for weeks. When I finally called customer service, I was told they were waiting on stock and the order could not be fulfilled. I cancelled the order and bought the exact same shoes from Amazon, which arrived the same day. Weeks later, Road Runner suddenly emailed saying the shoes were shipping anyway. I had to call customer service again and wait around 40 minutes to speak to someone, only to be told there was no record of my original cancellation request. The representative promised the order would be cancelled and intercepted before leaving the warehouse. That never happened. The shoes still arrived and my credit card was charged. The company completely failed at inventory management, communication, and customer service. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase down a company to stop an order that was already cancelled. read more

My coworker came in to work one day wearing some brand new Hoka's. I mentioned that I've always wanted to try on a pair, and he recommended coming to this location to try on the Clifton 10s. I came in on a Saturday afternoon, and I had no idea what I was in for. I walked in and went to the back wall looking for that specific shoe to try on. I didnt see it so I was making my way out when an employee asked if I needed help. He walked me towards the back and had me sit on a bench while he cleared some shoes out. Honestly, his vibe wasn't as welcoming and I was debating to just leave. Then David came over and asked if I needed help. He took over and my whole entire experience took a turn for the better. He explained the whole process of getting fitted and the different exercises we'd be doing to see which shoes fit best. Turns out there was a better fit for me and the shoe I came there for wasn't even on the list. David went above and beyond and deserves all of the stars and more! He was extremely polite and very informative. The whole time he was helping me, the manager kept asking him to grab shoes from the back for other customers. Time and time again this place disappoints me. Short story I gave this place a chance again after I spoke to the DM and recommended this store to my clients. But after I personally had an issue they failed to deliver satisfactory results. This time it was directly with me. I bought a pair of running shoes for my youngest son for conditioning. The outersole came away from the upper and it was only 3 weeks. I have a receipt, I have the product there and they can see it's a defect, and I already spoke to customer service and they said it wouldn't be an issue. I went to the store and because I didn't have a VIP membership I received a hard time. The assistant I believe called Sam the Store Manager and he told him no I couldn't exchange it. I ask to speak to him and we spoke for 5 minutes and he said he would call the DM and left me on hold. HE LEFT ME ON HOLD FOR 15 MINUTES. So what I did was call Customer Service and we spoke and resolved the issue. To make it short it took me 30 minutes plus instead of 3 minutes to get a simple exchange on a DEFECTIVE product. I will never ever recommend this store to ANYONE ANYMORE. I SENT THEM COUNTLESS CUSTOMERS. I ALREADY GAVE THEM A 2ND CHANCE AND THEY BLEW IT. But their biggest selling point is how knowledgable their staff is about finding the right shoe and the best fit for their customers. I was lucky enough to have Mahani help me, the last two times I was there, and he was fantastic. I'm hard to fit and hard to please, but he went above and beyond - so helpful and patient. I really got the feeling that he cared about my happiness and that is rare in retail, these days. Apparently they signed me up for a $49.99/year membership when I bought shoes from them, even though I never asked for it. Scummy predatory behavior! I have been to this store a couple time, getting inserts for my hiking books. And I signed up in their VIP program. Last weekend I went in looking for some running shoes and quickly made a choice of a pair of Hoka. On my way to the checkout counter, I grabbed some flipflops. The clerk who waited on me, was busy checking out another couple. Fine, I waited at another register . I waited patiently for about 10 minutes. In the mean time, another lady clerk walked by me playing on her phone, not even noticing me. Then HER customers, were ready to check out. So she motioned them down to my area, where I had been waiting. I said, Hey I've been waiting 10 minutes to check out. She said, Oh, he will check you out when he's done with the other couple. I visited Road Runner Sports yesterday afternoon for the first time and I was greeted by the employees immediately. David helped me out and we went through the Fit Finder process to try to find a pair of running shoes that would fit me comfortably for my half-marathon training. David was so thorough and knowledgeable about each step of the Fit Finder process. He emphasized that there was no pressure to buy the insoles even if I chose to get customized insoles that are molded in-store. I ended up opting out of the insoles this time. After entering in my information and analysis, FitFinder recommended 4 pairs of shoes. On top of these 4, I asked to try on 3 more that offered more cushion to see what it would feel like. The staff encouraged me to try the shoes on the treadmill and they explained the VIP membership they offer. I ended up going with the ASICS Cumulus 27 as an all-around winner and I signed up for the membership because I know I will be training for a full marathon within the next year and will be needing multiple pairs of running shoes. had one of the worst customer service experiences at this store. As a paying customer (though that shouldn't even matter), I was shocked by how passive-aggressive the employee (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name) was throughout our interaction. I mentioned that the shoes felt tight, even after loosening them, and I had to force my foot in. Despite this, she didn't seem to care and insisted I continue trying them on. While I was testing the shoes, she was absent most of the time, stocking shelves and attending to other customers. I wouldn't have minded this if I hadn't been left standing around waiting for assistance. I would have appreciated more guidance and options, but that wasn't offered. To top it off, when I asked for a bag, she claimed they didn't have any. However, reusable bags were clearly visible right in front of me. I understand that customer service jobs can be challenging, but being rude to customers is unacceptable. If you happen to read this review, I hope you'll treat the next customer with more respect.
