Please avoid the mistake I made in hiring Nikki. She was an hour late to my wedding. She was incredibly disorganized and did not direct any photos, leaving me (the bride) to direct family photos. She also did not edit any photos and did not make the edits she promised (ex: editing out a ski lift in the background). She didn't respond to emails after the wedding. I don't think this photographer deserves even one star. Everything was booked about 3 months ago. The day, the make-up, the hair and time off work was ready to go. Two weeks before our appointment, she cancels. STRAIGHT UP CANCELED ON US AND BACKED OUT. She decided to book a different event over ours cause it would be waay better for her. No professional courtesy here what so ever. She pretty much told us that she hopes it rains on our maternity shoot in a nicer, more facebook appropriate way... almost sarcastic. If you end up booking her, keep in mind that she may cancel on you if something better comes up. Maybe two weeks before... maybe one week. In the end, it doesn't matter. It is unprofessional, courteous and flat out rude. Now we have to scramble to find another photographer to take the pictures and pay another photographer while we wait 10-14 days to get the damn refund. I would look elsewhere if I were you. She may be too high class for us common people. You might get lucky if you have thousands of dollars and could afford to have her work put on a magazine. Wouldn't want to see another woman, 7 months pregnant and stressing out about the availability of other photographers. read more

There is literally no way to explain how incredible Nikki is at her job! She took my wedding photos and I cannot explain how AMAZING our photos came out. She captured our special day perfectly! I cannot wait to have her shoot more life events for my husband and I! WOW , I don't even know where to start with this one. She got one star only because they didn't give an option for NONE. I am writing on my friends behalf because she is too nice and let this girl take advantage, and I am unfortunately one one who initially had her come here so I feel responsible for this horrible photographer. Firstly, she was supposed to only charge a 50 dollar deposit when initially the debit card was given to her. She charged the full 500 and of course my friend kept her mouth shut but was angry. When the time came for the actual photo shoot she gave NO direction as to what to do or how to stand so the whole shoot was completely awkward, and when their dogs weren't behaving perfectly (because they all are supposed to be perfect angels right?) she unprofessionally showed her annoyance with it. Fast forward to the pictures that this photographer SUPPOSEDLY took hours editing... Let me just say it doesn't represent AT ALL what she shows on her website. The work she provided was not consistent with the work she showed us in her portfolio, I cant even believe it was really even her work. The light and editing is drastically different than what she displayed not to mention the poses are a lot more diverse than the ones she provided them. There was someone riding their horse in the background she didn't edit out. This session was supposed to be maternity and it looked more like a couple session with hardly any emphasis on her belly. There was one in a red dress they were trying to make look like the dress was flowing in the wind but failed to crop out the people lifting the dress up to make it look like the wind.....If you're going to do that zoom in a little, and if you failed to zoom in then maybe crop the random dude out?? Just a suggestion coming from the unprofessional here... My friend now has to get these redone. She talked to this person and explained she was unhappy but because she is too nice she was scared to make this horrible photographer feel bad so she blamed it on them saying it was a bad day and maybe they could have a redo instead of stating the REAL problem which was HER. She was shocked that she was unhappy with the work, which ANY PHOTOGRAPHER would not be proud of her work, I would die before I even saw ONE of those photos on her advertising portfolio page, they are embarrassing as a professional photographer she should be ashamed. She then went on to tell my friend that she would have to think about giving them another session because shes booked even though my friend offered to pay more(which she should not have given her another dime) Of course she never got back to her. We then wrote her a very nice text (as nice as we could be considering)as follows: "Thank you for your time and documenting our maternity session. After reviewing our gallery, we do not feel that the work you provided us is consistent with the work that you showed us in your portfolio. The light and editing is drastically different than what you have dis-played not to mention the poses are a lot more diverse than the one you provided us. I would like to request at least a partial refund for the maternity session, and a full re fund for the other two photo shoots I booked with you as we are going to have these redone. Again, I appreciate your time but we are simply not happy with the results." This was her reply: "Hey as I said I am shooting a wedding right now and I cannot talk about this. I am VERY HAPPY to refund you the remainder of your package minus the FULL maternity shoot. I will shoot that refund back to your card this weekend. I will not refund any portion of the maternity - as you stated over and over again in yesterdays conversation you understood that the reasons the maternity photos were not up to your happiness had nothing to do with our end, that it was all the fault of you and your husband. You were late, you did not follow our specifications on wardrobe, and your husband refused to happily cooperate. There's not much we can do in that situation. Despite that, we still delivered more than three times the images promised in the package. Obviously we will not be refunding any part of that. I will subtract the value of the maternity session at last years price from the package you paid and refund the difference. Any other correspondence should please be sent to my email as I have asked before - I'm shooting three weddings in the next two days and having my phone beeping with multiple messages is distracting. Thank you " Maybe don't carry your cell phone on loud while you are "professionally" shooting a wedding Nikki, Thank you. I urge NOBODY to ever get pictures from her, the work on her site does not represent her talent, or lack there of, at ALL! read more

Where do I begin. I set up an engagement shoot in the beginning of November and Nikki scheduled the shoot from 4-5pm. My friend and makeup artist who has many years of experience with photo shoots mentioned that the time Nikki set seemed odd since it was fall and the sun would be setting half way through our session. She suggested I say something but I figured Nikki was the professional and I should trust her judgement. The day comes and my friend and I arrive at Hagan Park. We were running late but my fiancé had been there early and had parked in the back, while we parked in the front. This park is large and Nikki did not specify where exactly to meet so we had to guess where to go. We figured we would see them coming in. Turns out they had a previous shoot early that day and were already at the park. Nikki leaves a voicemail at 4:20 stating that she assumed we weren't coming and that she was packing up the equipment and leaving. We are at the park and I frantically call her and no answer for a good 10 minutes. At this point I don't know what to do. I meet up with my fiancé and after still not hearing back from Nikki and having none of my calls answered, my fiancé calls (rather heated) and leaves a voicemail. He doesn't swear, call her names or anything inappropriate but is definitely stern and pissed off to be honest, seeing as we drove all the way out there to have someone blow us off. She calls back right after and states that she doesn't appreciate the voicemail he left. So you have the time to check your voicemail but can't answer my calls? At this point it seemed as though she was hoping we wouldn't show or trying to waste time so she could go home. I apologize for the misunderstanding and so does my fiancé and she says we can try and knock out some pics before the session is over. We aren't picky so we decide we'll try to get a few good shots and call it a day. It's 4:40 at this point and we knock out some pictures in 15 minutes or less and manage to finish up before 5pm. As you can imagine, at 4:40 it was already rather dark but we were staying positive, never complained and made the most of it. My friend and I end up chit chatting with Nikki and her partner for a good 15/20 minutes after and leave on good terms. So I thought.... An entire month later we finally get our engagement photos. Nothing special but we ended up with a few good shots, and given the situation we were overall happy that we had some photos to work with. Nikki apologizes for the wait and states she was extremely slammed. I thanked her for the photos. She emails me later and says that she forgot to mention that she recently shot a wedding at our venue and couldn't wait to shoot our special day. Fast forward 4 months... Nikki leaves a very short email stating that she could no longer photograph our wedding and wanted to know how to refund us our money. I of course was caught off guard and thought it was rather odd that she does not even give a reasoning as to why she is cancelling. She states that she felt uncomfortable moving forward and that she had never had a groom "yell and berate her" the way my fiancé did. She then proceeds to say that she was "pushed into shooting past sunset", when she was the one who set the time frame from 4-5pm. We shot in the time that she had set and finished within our time frame so if shooting past sunset was an issue, that's completely her fault. I can totally understand if she felt uncomfortable and didn't want to work with us anymore, that is her right, but she should have let us know that right after it happened. Why act like everything is fine, send emails months after the fact stating how excited you were to shoot our wedding and then wait 4 months to tell me that you felt so extremely uncomfortable and "cringed" everytime you thought about having to shoot our wedding? I am more upset that she waited so long to be honest with us, making it hard to find a photographer (7 months before the wedding) and having to look outside our budget. Not only that but her responses were rude and dismissive and she would take no accountability for anything. She is extremely passive and just plain unprofessional. Wish I would have read the Yelp reviews first. The low rated reviews hit the nail on the head. You get what you pay for, and trust me, you don't get much. She charged half of what our new photographer charged and there is a reason. Her photos are average at best, and her customer service is worse than the photos. Don't make the same mistake I made. We are a million times happier with our new photographer and although it was unfortunate, we got lucky in the end not having to work with Nikki in the future. read more

I can't believe I hadn't seen her work before then because I instantly fell in love with her style. After meeting with her and going over her packages/pricing/portfolio, we hired her for our wedding back in June. Nikki is very professional and fun to work with. She takes steps way before your wedding to day assure you get what you are paying for. The best choice I made for my wedding! Her prices were right on point and I loved that she didn't nickle and dime me for prints. Once the photos were edited she gave them all to me on CD. My husband loved her because she was easy going and fast. She made sure to get all the shots I wanted an even remembered some things she saw me post on Pinterest that I had forgotten about! Nikki was amazing for ALL three of my picture shoots! She allowed my mom, grandma, and I to express ourselves as well as gave ideas of her own. Next, I did a boudoir shoot and I was so nervous because I'm quite modest and wanted to surprise my now husband...she made me feel so comfortable and never once felt awkward, I even felt comfortable enough to get a little more "sexy" with the poses! Lastly, my wedding pictures. I'm going to be boastful. These should go in a magazine! There were some pictures she had to direct us to wait for the right lighting (sun to fade just enough)...I almost didn't want to because I was trying to say hello to guests at reception, she was so sweet but upfront and said this is the time if we are going to do it....and it they couldn't have been better!!!! So glad I took literally 5 minutes and took her advice to get them!! She and Chris are a joy to work with, they were at my wedding to capture my day...I loved how she said she wants to tell a story and not do "fake"...I love that! She's simply..."The Best". Nikki photographed my daughter for her senior year and she was flawless. The photos were incredible and she took so much care and pride in the shoot that it was something I will never forget. She is amazing and will make your story come to life. Not impressed. I'm a professional photographer myself and know what to expect and what not to expect from a wedding photographer. She fell way below her price. I had to edit all the images myself. There weren't any close ups. Photos I expressly asked her to take, she never took- though I reminder her several times throughout the day. I had emailed her a list of all the family shots I wanted cause I knew my head would be in a whirl after the ceremony and I knew I'd forget someone- she failed to bring the list. She only gave less than half the day's photos when I finally got the thumb drive- months later. I had to hound her for the rest which included all the family shots and most of the reception. She told me she'd give me a complementary pre-wedding photoshoot and then when I tried to set it up- told me she was all booked. None of my images looked anywhere near as good as the ones on her website. I'm a nice person. Maybe it was an off day for her, but this was my very unsatisfactory experience with Nikki. read more

If I could give her zero stars then I would! Where do I begin...she rescheduled twice for a newborn shoot. Then she gave me the wrong address! We finally get there and there is NO lighting at all and NO outfits, props, hats, etc for the baby!! Her "studio" was an empty room in her mother's apartment. It felt extremely rushed. On top of all of that she gave zero direction or ideas for pictures during the shoot. She didn't take any shots of my kids together, zero naked baby shots and we didn't get one good family shot!!! We literally go one good photo out of the entire shoot! Not to mention that she said it would take two weeks to receive the photos and a month went by and I hadn't heard from her at all. I called/texted her and she claimed that her computer"went down" and that she text me about it (which she did not). By that point my baby was too old to go somewhere else and have those memories captured. I feel as though I was not only robbed of the $300 for the shoot but also and more importantly the opportunity to capture my son in those first few weeks. I cannot tell you how unprofessional this experience was....stay away!!!! read more

I do not recommend this photographer at all. I was referred by a friend and was excited to work with her, but was disappointed and inconvenienced by her twice. I originally emailed and text a confirmation that I was attending her mini shoot which was supposed to be until 2pm & ig said csn drop in any time with confirmation. I drove 42 mins to the shoot with my 3 kids & arrived at 1:35 to find no one there. I called & left a voicemail. She called back within 20 mins & offered a full family photo shoot in in the town I lived in. I took the first available date that was 3 weeks out & confirmed it with her. On the day of my scheduled shoot I text her to let her know I would see her later & she said she had me schedule d the following day. I sent her my confirmation & she admitted her fault & said if I coukdnt do the following day (which I couldn't) that I had to wait 3-4 weeks till her next availability. She told me she had another shoot scheduled the same day as mine and that she couldn't cancel a regular payed shoot to do my free shoot. Keep in mind the shoot was free to make up for her mistake. read more
