Their seamstress deserves a special shoutout -- she made my wedding dress absolutely perfect. The fit was flawless, and she paid attention to every little detail. I had a very disappointing experience at Nikki's Glitz & Glam Boutique and strongly recommend shopping elsewhere. I purchased an off-the-rack gown (not custom, not ordered, no alterations) and never took possession of the dress. After realizing the gown wasn't going to work for me, I reached out within hours to cancel the purchase. I offered to pay a generous restocking fee ($200, then $300, then even $400) for their time and inconvenience. Instead, they repeatedly hid behind a "contract" they had me sign after running my card, which was presented as a standard customer info sheet but turned out to be a no-refund, no-exchange agreement buried in fine print. They refused any reasonable accommodation--even though the gown is still sitting in their store exactly as it was before I paid for it. Their unwillingness to work with customers, especially when no merchandise was ever taken, feels extremely shady. Legitimate bridal boutiques do not operate like this. Additionally, the gowns in the store were noticeably low quality, with many styles looking very outdated despite high price tags. I regret not trusting my instincts. I'm now disputing the charge with my credit card company since I never received the item and their business practices are not transparent. Brides deserve better. I am just appalled, I believe her name is Mya and she made my child feel HORRIBLE about herself she is a bigger set girl and the worker could do nothing but laugh and stare at her in a manner of disgust then proceeded to whisper around to her co workers. We came here looking for a prom dress. We had a budget set in mind already, & seemed like they were trying to put their left over dresses on us. They were aware of our budget, but still disregarded it. The employees seem like they're just trying to make a sale. Upon leaving, they told us that we wouldn't find anything else and everywhere else was outdated that "this was the place" and it felt very rude saying that. They're selection is very outdated, and their size range was very, very limited. But the minute you finally purchased your $2300 wedding dress it became a different story. And everyone became very cold. I even made an appointment to go in and pick up the dress on the phone. And when I got there nobody even knew anything about it. I ordered my dress here which cost 2,033 NOT WORTH IT! while the dress is so beautiful the service was trash! We made an appointment for a prom dress for prom this season, my daughter is short and round so she's hard to fit. We picked out 4 dresses, with our stylist Addy and she was terrific! The consultant had trouble listening to the bride and what she did and did not like. She kept bringing dresses that the bride did not like at all! There was very little in her price range as well. There's so many disappointments that happened finding my wedding dress. Nikkis was the first place I booked an appointment with. It was underwhelming for a new bride. I did find my dream dress and I did love my actual dress (Sophia Thomas). My mother wasn't with me the first time, so I requested we come back when she was in town and do it all over again. I called multiple times and let the staff know. When we came back with my mom the next time, the sales woman came out spoiling everything. I ran up to her to remind her AGAIN that my mother doesn't know I chose a dress already and that I wanted to try on a few and then come out in my dress. That was the first major disappointment. Then, when I came to pick up my dress, after I got in the car and drove off, I realized there was a gaping hole in the bottom of the bag where you could put an entire fist into. By that time I was done with Nikki's and didn't even want to go back. New brides, do not come here for your wedding dress unless you have a specific dress or designer in mind, but you won't be treated special and they clearly don't care about small details. read more

We were from out of town and they were able to bring in their seamstress to measure my daughter and they made the alterations the same day so we could take the dress home!! I wish someone would have told me that they do not have ANY wedding dresses under 1,000.....well probably even 1,500. I came in with a budget of 1,000 or under and immediately my consultant got a look of disgust on her face and told me that they absolutely don't have any dresses anywhere around that budget, I was ok moving to around 1,500 but not going much above but again was told they did not have anything around that either. In my head I was already very disappointed and feeling upset because I heard amazing things about Nikki's. Thinking back now, this is when I should have walked out and needed the appointment. As we moved on with the appointment my consultant repeatedly made me feel terrible about myself, making little comments about my budget, types of dresses I was leaning towards, and even my body. At one point in the dressing room, in my most vulnerable state (wearing underwear only) the consultant made a comment about my backside and how "she doesn't want to see that" while I understand that it may be uncomfortable for her to see me and other women undresses like that, but it made me feel terrible and completely worthless. Again as the appointment went on, I was put into one of the most gorgeous dresses and fell in love, they gave me the veil and bouquets to hold and I was sold. I was under the impression that it would be around the revised $1,500 budget, no. The dress was $3,000 and completely undoable. Again I was distraught and the consultant continuously telling me that I could make it work and that this was my dress hurt me even more. I was done with the appointment at this time. The only saving grace to this appointment was another consultant (who I cannot remember if she was the owner or not) who tried her best to get me into something more around my budget and seemed not too happy with my consultant. Overall, if I had known their prices prior to walking in I never would have paid $25 for the appointment and gone. I would suggest putting a price disclaimer on the website or at least giving a budget range so that brides are aware beforehand. read more

My daughter and wife recently visited Nikki's to shop for a senior prom dress. The moment they entered the store, my daughter explained to her consultant, everyone referred to her as Yaya, that she wasn't interested in anything tight, what colors she wasn't interested in, and her size, a 00. I understand that it's an uncommon size, but most often a 0 can be taken to a 00. The consultant initially began to pull things my daughter said she was interested in. However, as they continued around the wall because that's the only place that they said she would find her size, the tighter and less relevant the dresses Yaya pulled became. Eventually, the consultant went back to a dressing room with three to four dresses, and walked off on her own to select dresses for my daughter, leaving them alone on the boarder of the store. Once my daughter was in the dressing room, there was around four or five more dresses that my daughter hadn't even seen before entering the dressing room. As my daughter tried on dresses, she pointed out things she didn't like and the consultant continued to pull things similar to that. My wife made it clear when they were leaving, and that's when three other consultants in addition to the original began to pull dresses. As my daughter was trying to leave, they continued to try to bring her even more dresses. Overall, Nikki's Glitz and Glam was a terrible experience, ignoring the costumers input, with pushy sales people who just wanted to make a sale. Go anywhere else, this boutique isn't worth the discomfort they cause. read more

I came here with my daughter who had a very specific dress style in mind for prom. The sales staff was awesome to work with and she found a gorgeous dress well within our budget. Sadly, the material of the dress was not the best for the extensive alterations that she needed done (taking the dress from a size 8 to a size 0). Due to the difficult fabric and style of the dress, the alteration process changed the dress in ways that were not favorable to my daughter. Needless to say, she was distraught and frustrated since she only had a few more days before prom. Thankfully, manager went above and beyond to settle the issue quickly, politely, and was incredibly supportive of the entire process. My daughter was able to find a different dress which Nikki's allowed us have for no extra charges or alteration fees. Recently had a horrible alteration experience at Nikki's. My future daughter in law bought a beautiful wedding dress. I attended all of the fittings until we took the dress out of Nikki's to try and save it. I have pictures all along the way but long story short, the seamstress cut material out of the dress (verified by another seamstress) and made it non-recoverable. The seamstress accused the bride of gaining weight and/or retaining fluid!! She has actually lost a documented 10 pounds. Nikki's stood behind the seamstress and did not offer a refund on the $500.00 of alterations or did not offer to pull another dress off the rack and prepare it in time. The administrative staff was not understanding. Will never go back to Nikki's!!!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE EVEN WALMART! You will get better customer service there! My wife and I purchased her wedding dress here and my tuxedo. The Dress they said was alterable was not so we spent $700 for nothing and they wont let us return it! Then I was led to believe I would be buying my tuxedo and instead (after I paid for it) was told it was a rental. Not a single word was ever said about renting anything to us. We even asked the sales associate that the price I paid was to purchase the item. And guess what? NO refund! I had the tux in my hands and they would not give me refund. They are either stupid or intentionally misleading people. If I can save one person from this "establishment " before it goes under I would be happy . Considering I'll never see the $1000 I wasted going there. Im not one to leave reviews at all but I felt the need to leave one for this place. Although the selection of dresses was decent, I felt completely disrespected at this place. I am a teenage girl who came in to look for a dress for my junior prom. I started looking around for dresses, found some, and one of the workers started me in a fitting room, great. As i was trying on dresses i began to feel rushed. Whenever I was trying on dresses to get a feel for them, I kept hearing, "Are you ready to try on the next one?" when i had literally been in the dress for 45 seconds tops. Thats not even the worst part. By time I got to about my 5th dress (with about 4 more left to try) I had taken off the prior one and handed it to the lady helping me where she was supposed to give me the next dress i wanted to try on. I was waiting there for about 5 minutes with no dress, so I poked my head out and no one was out there and all the dresses were gone. There was another customer who saw the whole thing happen and she said the 3 girls working there were wispering and one said "yea just take them". None of the workers let me know, and if there was a try on limit that i was warned about than I wouldn't have minded. But the fact that no one let me know, and i was being rushed the whole time, along with the little wispers from the WORKERS, made the whole experience seem very catty and unprofessional. read more

I had a rough time with the manager with my first dress fitting- she was very rude and hushed her employee in front of us- but that's not what set me off. They called me 20 minutes before my wedding dress fitting (less than a month before my wedding) and cancelled. They said the lady was sick, which is fine but you have been open almost an hour? Why wait until I am almost there to tell me and why would your operations come to a halt if one person is sick? Appointment ended with last minute super high pressure to put down a $250 deposit that is totally non refundable. We won a coupon at a bridal show but fine print says you have to use it in your first visit. Consultant gave us misinformation saying the coupon could be the deposit. But when checking out she denied that. When clerk asked for deposit of $250. Thank goodness we said no, we'll give you $75. They couldn't show us what the back of the dress looked like and refused to disclose the designer or provide any online pictures of the gown. Who spends $2k on a dress with zero information. The associates there helped steer me into a dress that looked stunning on me. In that dress I had no insecurities. Staff was always so friendly and professional. The seamstress is amazing! Just an FYI be sure to be on time to your appointment for alterations as every single minute is important to them. They also have a huge selection of prom, HOCO, and mother of the bride dresses.
