I write this review as they are beginning to work on my vehicle. A man and woman have just showed up, a lovely pair... over an hour fawking late. My appointment was for 9am they arrived around 10:13 So. I purchased this Groupon back in like February. I was saving it for summer. I call sometime in May and the guy says Mid-July is the earliest available. Well...alright. I assume if you're booked out that far, you must be pretty darn good. I work 6a-3p Monday thru Friday and do not like to take time off unless I have to. I put on my calendar that I would be out of the office from 9-11 (the extra hour for travel time) I happened to read a review that said he was an hour late arriving and a couple others that said he was not on time) I called the day before to verify the address I'd previously given him (and as a soft reminder, so there were no excuses.) I also asked him if he needed an electrical outlet since I'd read that in a review but it's not stated on the website/Groupon. He said yes as well as a water source. I realized that night that only an outlet would be available so at 7 am I sent the updated address to Nik. He sent me a text from a different number at 8 saying to have the car cleaned out and he does not clean the trunk, glove compartment or center console. What?! The console and trunk are always the dirtiest. But ok, no big deal. I send the updated address which is about 7 mins away from the original, both in Renton. He replies: "Ok...usually that wouldn't be ok...but today it's all good...thx....." You're a mobile car service. Lol, you'd have to drive to me regardless and the alternate address is super close to the other. W. 9:01 rolls around, I get a text: "On my way running late ...ton of traffic" - you know there's traffic every day, that isn't an excuse especially with free, yet sophisticated gps apps. 9:21, 9:41, 10:01 ... I call, no answer. I text: ETA? No response. Finally they roll up. Nik shakes my hand and asks "did you get my text about traffic?" His partner didn't speak. Let's be clear, my car is pretty filthy. I don't clean the inside of my car very often (like once a year), but do try to wash the outside here and there. HOWEVER, when I do I get it cleaner than they did. The pictures speak for themselves. Black dirt marks on the headrest probably from them holding onto it, didn't even attempt to get the rims clean. I have some rust on the back wheels but as far as the front two, there was no attempt to clean them! The entire car is streaky with fuzz balls all over it! I had lipstick stains on the door, they were left there. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, and say that the stains weren't coming out until I grabbed a wet paper towel and whatdaya know, gone. I can keep going honestly. My assumption is that they overbook which is why the have a reputation for being late and doing a hurried job. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I guess showing up late is a very very common habit for this business owner. Even multiple positive reviews here mention that he shows up late. A business owner that does not value customers' time is not trustworthy. Appointment is a promise. I didn't even get an apology when he showed up 25 min late. I guess to him, that's nothing serious. Now that I know he does this habitually, I have no plan on contacting him again for a service. Quality of cleaning was just about average. read more

Groupon buyer beware! The night before my appointment, at 7 PM, Nik texted me (after cancelling my first appointment) and told me he had to charge me an additional $25 - $30 to come to Seattle. Never did he mention this in the two previous conversations that I had with him. Then he got nasty on the text messages he sent me. Didn't even have the courtesy to call me. Very unprofessional and unscrupulous. He obviously forgot the rules of customer service, the customer is always right and goodwill is worth its weight in gold (i.e. future business)! read more

My wife got me a Groupon for my truck. It was trashed and need a good cleaning. I got my appointment scheduled and then I was asked a couple of questions that I was not ready for. "Where is the power supply?" and "where is the water hook-up?" HUH? I did not realize that they came out to me. Sweet! They did a great job on the interior. It was amazingly clean. They did not use any deodorants to make my truck smell pretty, just clean. The exterior was fine. It was not as deep down clean as the interior. They made the tires all shiny, a little too shiny. My truck is old, it has dents and rust; the detailer went a little over board with the tire "manicure". The tires are a little blingy for my taste. Overall they did a good job. My truck looked and smelled clean. They came out to me. I would recommend them. read more

I bought a groupon for his detailing service and called to schedule an appointment. His website notes that "All services can be provided onsite within King and Snohomish County area." I live within King County in Federal Way. When I reached him he said "sorry I don't service there. That's too far for me". Further discussion terminated quickly with no willingness to negotiate. I'm sure Nik does great work on his cars, but I felt his interactions were unprofessional. I was taught that you always treat the customer with respect, especially when they come to you for your business. Please specify exactly where you service and be apologetic when someone comes to you and you are unable to help them. I wish him the best, but future customers may be best to schedule the appointment before purchasing a groupon. read more

We were very pleased with the detailing of our small car by Nik's. The work was over the top, near perfect for our 8 yr old car. They arrived on time and did this in our driveway, since weather permitted. They were here under two hours, two workers. There were no additional charges outside the Groupon we purchased. I had scheduled an appointment last week for Nik to come wash my vehicles. The day before, he called and mentioned the weather was not looking to cooperate and offered a reschedule. We rescheduled and he was very courteous in keeping me updated on his schedule and he arrived in the window given. He is just finishing the 3rd car and I can say they all look spectacular! We did the gold wash and each car is sparkling inside and out and the price was very reasonable, especially since he did it in my driveway. We will be using him again. read more

Please please please do yourself a favor and find someone else to detail your car. I received a Groupon on 10/1/19 for a car detail with Nik. I called the next day to schedule an appointment. It's now mid-February '20 and my car has yet to be detailed. Why, you ask? Because Nik either has a career and washes cars in his spare time (which would be understandable if it were the case) or he is an unmitigated disaster as a business owner. 1. Call to schedule an appointment - Nik's not available for 5 weeks. Okay. 5 weeks isn't a long time to wait for a custom piece of furniture or a highly-sought after doctor. But a car detail? 5 weeks? Whatever. it's annoying but not the end of the world. I schedule the date and move on. 2. Nik calls back the next day to tell me that he doesn't service my address. It's in King County, by the way, where his website says he services. No problem! I'll have him come out to my work. 3. Nik won't come to my work because my work does not have a water bibb or electricity in the parking lot. In my opinion if your business is traveling around the area to clean cars you should bring all of the car-cleaning necessities with you (i.e. a generator for power, and a basin w/ hose for water). Restaurants don't ask you to bring your own utensils, grocery stores don't ask you to bring your own carts, and when you get your oil changed Jiffy Lube doesn't ask you to supply a funnel for them. Again, it's annoying, but not worth making a big deal out of it. 4. So I call my wife, have her contact her grandparents to ask if she can park my car in their driveway for Nik. They're great people so they're okay with it. The trouble is that I need to find a new date that works for Nik and when my grand-in-laws are available. And it needs to be a date when my wife isn't working. So I reschedule. 5. Now it's Thanksgiving and Nik tells me he can't detail the car until after the New Year. Who in their right mind takes off a full month for the holidays? 6. Nik warns me that if it's raining he'll need to reschedule. I tell him I've already rescheduled 2-3 times. Why would he need to reschedule? His response? He doesn't want to work in the rain. It's Seattle!! It rains here. That's what Seattle does best. Why doesn't this guy own a canopy that he can put up over the car? They're less than $100. Spend some money and invest in your business. 6. I find a date that my grand-in-laws are available and my wife isn't working. I swap cars with my wife so she can take my car to my in-laws for Nik. I pray for sunshine. The day prior I call Nik to confirm my appointment because I have no confidence that I'm actually on his schedule and I'm positive he won't call me to confirm. He has the business acumen of my daughters pet rock, afterall. He confirms the date but informs me he's going to be nearly 2 hours late. 7. So now, my wife takes a day off work to be at her grandparents for half a day but with the new time-slot she wouldn't have had to take any time off. She takes a day off work for no reason. She has to sit around at her grandparents for 2 more hours than was originally planned - which essentially eats up her entire day. 8. This morning, Nik texts me to state that he will be on time afterall. Great! Finally a bit of good news. But, before he gets there he wants me to clean out the car for him. He's the detailer. Why is he asking me to clean the car. Cleaning the car is precisely what I'm paying him to do. And I'm providing him with everything to clean it with except a vacuum and some soap. It's been nearly 5 months now and my car has yet to be detailed. At this point there is nothing that Nik can actually do to my car to ensure that he'll get my business again. He has lost a customer before he even got the opportunity to win my business. To those searching for a detailer - please pass on Nik. He is rude, oblivious, and unprofessional. Find someone that treats their customers with respect and shows that they're actually interested in earning your business. To Nik - if you're reading this - please do yourself a favor and invest in yourself. Get a truck. Buy a generator and mount it to the truck bed. Get a water basin with a hose and mount it to your truck bed. Buy a couple canopies to put up if it's raining. We live in Seattle. You can't cancel on your customers every time it rains. Hire some inexpensive help to improve your scheduling. The car detailing market is large and there are many options for customers to find a better product. Ask yourself, what do you do for your customers that your competitors don't? The answer, so far as I can tell, is provide headaches. In my case, headaches for me, for my wife, for her employer, and for her grandparents. When you string your customers along and treat them like they're replaceable they will inevitably replace you. That said, if you do this on the side to earn a few extra bucks, then good for you. Just do your customers the courtesy of letting them know. read more

I scheduled time with Nik, he texted me in the morning to clear out my car, and texted me a little later that he was running late. I know depending on the size and condition of some people's cars that they make take longer. He was only about 1/2 hour late so I didn't mind. They got straight to work and now my car is cleaner than it has been in years! His coming to my place to do the work made such a difference for me as I had a hectic morning working from home. He was very polite and professional. I would not hesitate to schedule with him again. read more

I bought Nik's Living Social deal. He cancelled the first apointment (car in the shop?) and then was a no-show for the second appointment. He had chosen the date and time for the second appointment and I came home from work to be there for him. After waiting 30 minutes I called him and his business partner said "Didn't you get his message? We're running behind today but we'll be there in about 45 minutes." I had not received any call or message. Then Nik called me back and said that he actually didn't have me on his schedule for that day. So... first he allegedly called me to let me know he was running late, but then mysteriously I'm not even on the schedule? I know what's going on, he knows what's going on. Instead of being a big boy about it, he played dumb and made me miss over an hour of work for nothing. I requested a refund and, with a heavy heart, I suggest you do the same. I bought a Groupon for Nik's back in May. The first time they were scheduled they cancelled due to a family emergency. After rescheduling, they called a few hours before their scheduled arrival time to ask if they could come one and a half hours after the arranged appointment time. As this didn't work for me I rescheduled a 3rd time. They just called to say they couldn't make it because of the weather. When I mentioned that this was the 3rd time they called to reschedule, they said they couldn't be responsible for the weather, ignoring the two other times they rescheduled on me. This is not the way to run a business and I will not be using their services ever. Use them at your own risk. read more

Wow!!! My car looks fantastic. Aaron, from Nik's, worked on my car for almost 3 hours and this was from a Dealfind for much, much less. It was polished and vacuumed and he even made a few adjustments to things like license plates that were bent. He did a beautiful job in the trunk too. After a call to say he was running late, he and his partner showed up about 1 1/2 hours later than scheduled. The inside of my car is beautiful!!! It looks better than when I bought it (I bought it used from a dealer). Even though the weather outside was frightful, they washed and waxed the outside and vacuumed the inside to perfection, even finding a misplaced GPS mount. I purchased a Group On for Nik's Auto Salon in December and have had difficulty setting up appointments within a reasonable time. I did cancel one time due to illness. My appointment was now for today. Each time I set up the two appointments, the seller pushed me out for weeks! I had given him my address and had him on the calendar. I believe Groupon Purchases are given poor appointment options. Last night at 8:30 he texted saying he didn't have my address and if I didn't get back to him by 9 am today he would have to reschedule. This morning he sent an email saying to clean out my car and if he didn't hear back from me by 10:30, he'd have to reschedule. I was not on my phone last night and working this morning. This is unacceptable. I replied to his texts once I saw these at noon, saying that these were poor business practices. I purchased a Groupon for Niks for my wife car this past Christmas. I set up an apt and of course the day of the apt it was pouring rain. We initially rescheduled the apt for a later date a few hours later there was a break in the weather (so we thought). Nick came out that same day and started on the car. Of course 30 min in the rain began again. It did not deter him from finishing the job. The car came out amazing Nick was able to do not only the inside but the exterior as well. Amazing! I'm not the best at keeping my car washed and vacuumed (extreme understatement). I had actually been shopping for a new car because my 19 yr old car was just looking horrible. Then I found Nik's. No new car for me. Nik and his team showed up and worked miracles. Other than normal wear and minor dings from age my car looks brand new and I'm not joking! Over $86 bucks for a wash basically, I have a brand new car and wanted to get it waxed to protect it from winter. Nik showed up and left in about a hour and twenty mins claiming that he shampooed the inside and waxed the outside! NOOOO WAYYY is there wax on my car there is still road grime that he claimed wouldn't come off and right in front of him I rubbed off with my finger I told him that him it takes elbow grease and the back window had little white fuzz balls all over that I had to clean up and there was residue from winter leafs on top of my car. Not happy at all and will never use Nik's again what a waste of my time and money !!! All for a half ass wash job! Go to hell Nick I know plenty about detailing I've done way better work myself for many many years and my car is less than six months old so your comments about age and lack of washing prove you are not qualified to detail cars and any legit business person would have made a attempt at righting the situation for a unhappy customer. Bottom line is you did a horrible lazy job . My car didn't need any attention to the inside I made that clear to you before you even came out . And as far as the outside and lame workmanship you did I cleaned it off my immediate after you left. You know this is a true review. And you never even address all my complaints, I seriously can't believe you had the gall to reply to my complaint about the poor lazy job you did on my brand new car , it amazes me that you claim you couldn't get it clean due to lack of washing it prior to you showing up , if you can't get a car that is six months old looking as good as new your obviously not qualified to do your job. He did $ 2,400 to my engine. Nik said he had over 20 years experience. He did a bad job on the exterior and while detailing my engine he got water in the distributor and the car would not start. Just had my car detailed today by Nik. Nik called and mentioned he was running behind, apologized, and said he would call as soon as he finished up with his current job. I received a call back from Nik letting me know his location and ETA. Upon arrival he sincerely apologized again and got right to work. Our 10 year old car looks brand new! These two did a great job. First of all, I work a million hours a week and do not have time to take my car anywhere. Well, they came to my office! They were on time, which was much appreciated. Secondly, the car looked fantastic after they were done. The only thing I wasn't sure about was that I had to ask if they could vacuum the trunk but I think they hesitated because it had a bunch of stuff back there. I have had many people try to get my Yukon to shine, but none have been successful. Nik did a great job, and I will be having him come back out again to do both of my cars. Bought a coupon through Amazon Local to try Nik's Auto Salon. Nik and his partner arrived right on time. Both were very friendly and professional. My car is a 2001 Subaru Outback Station Wagon and is kept outside under the trees (pitch and bird doo!). Nik worked very hard to attack the pitch spots and got my vehicle looking practically brand new! The inside cloth interior looks and smells fantastic. I had let the heavy cleaning of the car go for quite a while and will not do this again. I plan to engage the services of Nik's Auto Salon regularly so I can keep my car's appearance top notch. Excellent work and service. After a bad experience with another detailer, I bought the groupon for Nik's. Their communication was prompt and informative, and the quality of the service was top notch. My truck has never looked that good since I bought it. They were able to get years (I've been putting this off for a while) of grime and pollen off the exterior, and polish the interior to a show room like shine. I will use them again, and will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a detailer. Average work. Showed up an hour late and asked if I had a garden hose to wash my car with. I said I did not. Nik replied, "Me either...mine has a hole in it." Really? This is your business! Left tire black spots all over my bumpers. Couldn't you have done the bumpers as well instead of leaving them all spotted? Before he left I asked if he moved my seat back because it is impossible to move back forward without two people. He lied and said he had not moved it. I got in my car later and he HAD moved it back and now I have to have a friend come over just to move it back forward since I can't drive it as it is. I won't cut corners in the future with Groupon, and will take it to the former detailer I've used and happily pay full price. read more
