I asked that my daughter not have x rays, at the end of appointment consult I was told she had X-rays done but not to worry they were covered by insurance. This was not the reason we did not want X-rays done. I have had it in all 4 of my children's file that I don't want fluoride since they have started coming, but I still have to tell them everytime. My son was there for his 2nd visit and as I was speaking with Dr, the hygienist came by and stuck something in my son's mouth as she was walking out the door. He started gagging and I had to ask for water so he wouldn't throw up. She had completed her part 5-10 minutes prior, the Dr came in and did his part and we were just talking about his findings. That is when she put fluoride in his mouth. I called the next day to discuss my concerns about not feeling heard and she was the one who answered. She denied My account of events and said it should have been in their file. I asked why it wasn't bc it should be and why isn't me verbally telling them wasnt listened to. She said she would talk with her staff, then she informed me that my 2 year old would not be able to be seen at 4 any longer because of his behavior. I asked what she was referring to bc she was in the room when the doctor made a comment about how well he was behaving and not moving during exam. She said it was after exam when we were leaving . He was "screaming" bc he didn't want to leave. I reminded her that he has a speech delay and that is how he communicates. I picked him up and carried him out as soon as he started. We were the only people in the waiting room. They also charge a behavior management fee when doing procedure like sealants if you decide not to put your child under. I asked if just nitrous oxide could be used and was told if she moved her tongue too much than a behavior management fee would be charge and they wouldn't complete service. For a pediatric office they have no patience for children with any sort of normal, age appropriate behaviors. God forbid if they are below the curve. It is a shame because we all used to love going there and now I don't feel like my kids are safe, heard, or even liked.

don't ever go to this dentist!! especially if you have a special needs child. they won't take it…read moreinto consideration that your child has certain things they cannot control and if you have to reschedule an appt, after you have already explained to them of your child's disabilities that are out of your child's control, they won't see you anymore. even though you explained to them first, before ever scheduling an appt about your special needs child, which they are ok with , at first. they say they understand,but they don't understand anything. apparently being a parent of an autistic child that has insomnia, and keeps me up for over 24 hours, i need to risk my life and my child's life to get to a dentist appt that is so important, that if i don't make it, they will not see her again. even though she hasn't even been to see them yet, due to having to cancel the first appt months ago due to my child's disability that my child cannot control!!!! my child has had insomnia since she was born due to her autism, and i will never risk mine or my child's life to get to any type of appt if i have been up for 24 hours or more due to her autism. i feel very discriminated b/c i won't risk lives to get to an appt safely. and i know the dentist can change this so called policy to accommodate special needs kids' certain disabilities that hinder them from being able to get to their appts on time. didn't know that a dentist office was like a baseball game, where 3 strikes you're out!!!! they need to be more empathetic, but i guess with all the money they make, empathy is not in their vocabulary or they weren't born with it in the first place!!!!!

He has to be one of the most genuine, caring professionals I've met in a very long time. Not that I was trying to be nosey but I saw him come outside to talk with a patient who just left and seemed upset. He spoke to me like I was a member of his family and offered conservative recommendations, while assuring me of my overall dental health (my prior dentist quoted me a huge price for all the "work" I needed). He has a great sense of humor, is upbeat and positive. While I don't have a fear of the dentist, I think he could truly put anyone at ease. It's a family business that he has with his father...I love that! They do accept United Concordia and sees younger patients ( I will be taking my toddler to see them next month). *Update! I've never been a fan of the dentist but I'll try to be as biased as I can. First they're…read moredefinitely understaffed and when I need an appointment it's usually 4-6 weeks out, which is quite a long wait for a dental appointment. You can do walk ins but all that really means is that you sit there and wait for someone else to not show up to their appointment which means you could potentially sit there all day and not get seen. This dental clinic serves a huge number of service members and it's a pretty small facility, so long waits are to be expected I suppose. Now for the service, the clerks are always nice and welcoming, but some of the dentists have some heavy hands. The last time I went it was, "Does this hurt?" "No, what about now?" As they push on something harder. "No, what about now?" As they put their whole body wait on my tooth. Well yeah, now it hurts cuz you just jack-hammered it. The X-ray people always seem to be in a rush and they just jam stuff in your mouth with wanton disregard for your gag reflex. I just went again today for an annual check up and the dentist was the most gentle dentist I've ever had in my life. I hope I get him from now on. Had it not been for today's gentle and quick visit, this may have been a one star review. Hopefully they start getting more dentists like the one I got today. Just remember to call way ahead of when you'll need your annual check up.

The dentist was non-judgmental and was very calming. He explained everything to me but did not put any pressure to do anything. He seemed to REALLY care about his patients. I will recommend and would go back without hesitation. As a plus, they had a small area for small children to play which is something that many offices forget to add. It is nice to have that as a distraction for little ones.

I told her I would like to schedule a routine cleaning and she said that I could come in tomorrow. I told her who my previous dentist was and I was told that they would get my records. I went in today, they did not have my previous x rays. They tried to have me take x rays without verifying that it was time or that my insurance would cover it based on the last x rays I had. Which it was not time... Then when I went to check out after my cleaning with no x rays, the office personnel told me that I owed $78 for the cleaning. Of which I have never had to pay anything for a cleaning. She then informed me that they were an out of network provider. This is all information that should have been given before my cleaning. I will not go there again. Very disappointed!
