Ok, how do I say this? My Iphone 16 Pro Max screen cracked from a heavy leveler that fell onto the phone screen. I needed to replace the screen immediately before my trip. I couldn't get the screen in time through Amazon. Based on the reviews and I went to Niles. The brothers were very nice and replaced the screen for $250.00. In less than a week, the screen started to crack due to dropping the phone which I never had a problem with OEM screen. The phone became hot and the screen wasn't very bright. I couldn't take photos outside cuz it became very dark. Battery drained very fast. I talked to the owner about it and he said that the IOS software update caused the battery to drain and there's nothing he can do about the crack. So I ended up ordering a high quality "OEM" aftermarket screen from Amazon by ReOriginal ($280.00) and replaced the screen myself. BINGO, the screen works the way it should and didn't have an issue even I dropped the phone. So do your research before buying a replacement screen, ask about the brand, and quality. Niles put a new battery in my iPhone for $150. It still didn't work well so I bought a new iPhone at the Apple Store. I was supposed to get a trade in amount of ś225 from Apple but got only $90 because the new battery Niles used wasn't an Apple battery. So I am out $285. read more

I had some screen damage on my iPhone 11 after dropping it. No visible cracks but there were horizontal lines on the display. I figured it was time for a new phone. However, I dropped into Niles Phone Repair. Raed (pronounced Rad) diagnosed it as damage inside the phone and replaced the screen in 30 minutes and showed me the damage that was causing the problem. Buyer beware. My son paid $150 for a screen replacement. 2 weeks later the screen just falls out. Took it back and the store owner wanted another $150 to fix it. He would not warranty his faulty work. We can't support businesses like this who rip off teenagers. read more

We took my daughter's phone in because it wasn't responding to touch. They replaced the screen, which helped. However when we got to the truck we realized it now had lines going through the screen as well as a black mark, defective screen? We weren't able to go back until today (2 days later) and we were told we caused the issue ( in the 20 feet from the store to the truck? ). 'Offered' a $20 discount because 'they'd be losing money'. Wow. How about do quality work or stand behind your work and no one would lose money. We will NEVER come here again. We usually go to secure pro in slo and they are 100% worth the drive. I love Niles Phone Repair! I used Niles years ago for a screen replacement and was happy with the results. Recently, I needed a new battery for my iPhone. After making an appointment at Best Buy for this to be done, I showed up to find that it would be a 2-3 hour wait. I'm not sure what the appointment did for me? I didn't have the time for this, so I left. It was then that I remembered Niles. Found that he had a storefront now, so I called about my battery replacement. They assured me it could be done. I asked how long it would take. They said about 10 minutes, unless it was busy, in which case it would take 20. Did I need to make an appointment? Not necessary, they said, just drop on by. Came in the next day. Super friendly and courteous, as I remembered, and they seemed a little busy, but I was assured it wouldn't take more than 20 minutes. They also coached me on some battery tips, and let me know to come right back if I encountered any problems. The cost was $9 more than Best Buy, but for the convenience, it was an easy decision. Was in and out in the promised 20 minutes. One thing: they are cash only. I never carry cash, so I had to run to an ATM. read more

I went in about a year ago and it was the worst service ever, he changed it for me and I had to go back two days later cause my phone was acting weird and glitching and first he did not want to change it for me until I kept insisting and he told me once he changed it again he wouldn't change it again for free so now a year later I cracked my screen and then went to go get it fixed somewhere else and they told me that on my battery which he wasn't even supposed to touch had some missing screws on it and I had never got my screen fixed anywhere else but with him so that's kind of weird and also oil all over it as if it was leaking and that's why my phone was acting up. I don't know how they manage to keep running their business with what they are doing behind their customers back, rather pay more next time and get a better quality service read more

If there's someone in town you can trust when it comes to repairing your phone, iPad...etc, it's Nile. I contacted many others who claim to be professionals, especially with the way they advertise and market themselves. Unfortunately, they either did not have parts or promised to call back, but never did. How ironic, and some of them have actual shops in downtown. I kind of feel sad for them cause they still have to pay for managing their shops. It's better they find a different hobby. One store actually responded and gave me an appointment, but called me last minute to tell me that I would have to wait for two more days. No wonder why people come to Nile all the way from different towns. I dropped off the iPad and was told to come pick it up next morning. In fact, I got a phone call an hour later to tell me it was ready for pick up same day. Nile's prices were more then reasonable compared to that one store that actually gave me an appointment and cancelled. I would not have minded paying even twice as much for the service Nile provided. Ive came here three times to get my phone fixed and every time the screen has broke within a couple months. after the third time, when i went to get my iPhone 8 plus fixed at a professional store they told me that me the screen Nile uses is off brand phone screen and he didn't place it right so the screen was lifting. i went back to niles to ask for a refund or at least work out a deal and he was still going to charge me $100 because its "bad for his business" to give me a refund on the SCREEN he put on my phone. read more

Stoped in here while on a work trip because my phone was not charging. The cable kept falling out. I described it to niles and he grabbed a dental tool and picked at the port. Turns out there was a lot of dirt and pocket lint in it. Asked what I owed him and he said nothing.
