I have only attended six or seven weddings in my life, so when it came time to plan my own, figuring out the logistics of the ceremony, vows, cultural traditions, etc caused me a great deal of anxiety. Our wedding was just this past weekend and I have to write before I forget the details! Nilou was amazing from the start. Quick to respond and easy going. Our first meeting was through Skype and we knew she was the one we'd like to have officiate our wedding. My now husband and I have been together for 13 years and have a daughter. She listened to this and more to better understand us as a couple. We kept the ceremony short and sweet. She spoke of love and recited quotes. We wrote our own vows. It was non religious with no mention of creator or higher being but nonetheless meaningful. We did incorporate her idea of the ring warming ceremony (since our wedding was small the rings were tied together and passed around so everyone could send their good wishes).
