I was lucky enough to know how wonderful of an officiant Nilou is, years before my own wedding. She was my sister's officiant 6 years ago, and I knew that day that when my time came to tie the knot, I wanted her there. I speak for myself and my husband when I say that Nilou completely captivates you with her poetic words and her genuine warmth.. and I speak for our guests as well when I say that. Our wedding was Iranian/American, and Nilou was able to speak to the hearts of both Farsi and English speakers. From the moment we reached out to her about being our officiant, we received nothing but warmth and a genuine interest in us and the things that are the most important to us. Just in our first zoom call, she so easily absorbed the things that matter the most to us, and the things that make us who we are both as individuals and a unit. And on the wedding day she brought it all to life with her beautiful and powerful way of speaking, and shared those precious things with everyone that we love. Nilou's attention to detail is another thing that blew me and my husband away. From coordinating the rehearsal to asking what color of dresses my bridesmaids were wearing and the colors of the wedding so she can coordinate her outfit (which I've learned are always immaculate). I could go on, but I'll leave it with this. My husband and I could never have imagined a better officiant for what turned out to be the greatest day of our lives, and Nilou was such an important part of that.

I have only attended six or seven weddings in my life, so when it came time to plan my own, figuring out the logistics of the ceremony, vows, cultural traditions, etc caused me a great deal of anxiety. Enter Nilou: one of the kindest, coolest, and most put-together people you've ever met. And even probably more importantly, she exudes calmness, which is exactly the type of energy you want when planning one of the most stressful events of your life. Nilou worked hard to give us the ceremony of our dreams, one that we didn't actually know we wanted but absolutely needed. Her extensive experience in the wedding industry meant that she could give us insight into what people usually do and what normally works, but she was also willing to mix things up and create a ceremony that was tailored to our unique vision. Nilou was also familiar with our venue and vendors, having worked with so many others in the industry before, so she communicated seamlessly with our DJ, wedding coordinator, photographer, and venue staff to make sure everything went smoothly the day of. As a result, we ended up with the most perfect ceremony we could have ever imagined. I've always kind of written off the ceremony part of weddings, not being much of a mushy romantic myself, but after our own wedding, I realized that the reason why I've experienced some very unmemorable ceremonies, was because they weren't officiated well. It has been a month since our wedding and we're still getting text messages and phone calls from guests saying that our ceremony was one of the best ceremonies they'd ever seen. And I know it wasn't because of our profound vows or anything, it's because Nilou put together a ceremony that was both touching and entertaining, meaning that our guests (and us) experienced tears, laughter, cultural education, hope, and love all within a 20 min ceremony. That takes a skill not everyone possesses. I'm so incredibly grateful for everything Nilou did to make our wedding memorable and special, and I could not recommend her more.

We are so happy we found Nilou!! She made our ceremony dreams come true. My husband is Persian and we wanted to incorporate both Persian and traditional ceremony elements. With the guidance and expertise of Nilou our ceremony was even better then we could have imagined. Nilou met with us virtually three times before our wedding in Mexico. She guided us the whole way on various ceremony elements and how the ceremony would take place. She provided various options and incorporated all the elements of a Persian/traditional wedding. With both Persian and non Persian attendees Nilou translated the wedding in Farsi and English, explained many aspects of the ceremony to our guests and made us feel relaxed, comfortable and excited throughout the ceremony! We highly recommend Nilou! Our wedding would not have been the same without her! All of our guests told us how wonder she was and how amazing the ceremony was!

What a beautiful ceremony it was, and it's all thanks to our lovely officiant Nilou. From the moment we met her we knew she was going to be one of our favorite guests at our ceremony. Nilou is very organized, detailed, and super sweet. We talked about three times before the wedding and we never stressed about the ceremony, because we knew she would guide us through the process. I'm mexican and my husband is iranian, and she knew exactly how to tie our different traditions together. The ceremony was absolutely perfect and everyone raved about how amazing Nilou was, and to add, very elegant. We loved that she was able to keep everyone's attention throughout our 35 minute ceremony. I would not change a things. If you are searching for a officiant don't look any further, because Nilou will help you with your dream ceremony. I can't thank her enough!!

I was looking for a wedding officiant for our tiny wedding during COVID, and when looking through yelp profiles I came across Nilou's and remembered that I actually had seen her in a friend's wedding 1-2 yrs ago and was impressed with her style, grace, and professionalism. I contacted her and luckily she was available for our wedding date.  We were so grateful for Nilou's level of enthusiasm, professionalism, and kindness in planning and executing our ceremony. She facetimed with us and asked our story and even kindly offered to set up a small Persian wedding ceremony table for us. She asked me detailed questions about my taste, the color of flowers, and my dress and my friends dress and came up with the nicest table suiting our small wedding. She was so attentive during our wedding and even did a bit of unofficial wedding planning, and helped us with details of stuff during our ceremony making sure everything was beautiful and perfect. She herself also has a great style and dresses super nice and classy which is a huge plus for wedding pictures! Overall she was an excellent choice for our wedding. We are planning to have a big wedding after corona is hopefully over and we will DEFINITELY ask her to be our wedding officiant for our second wedding as well. Thank you, Nilou!!

Our special day was exactly what we dreamed of thanks to Nilou. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was beautiful and perfect. We couldn't ask for a better planner.

Nilou performed our civil ceremony in May. I had seen her at a few friends' wedding before and I already like her a lot. She has a nice voice and is very good at reading poetry. Although I had seen her work before, it did not feel repetitive. She makes the ceremony feel personal and tailored to the couple. I highly recommend her. And the cherry on top: she is always very well dressed. She asked me what is the theme before the wedding and confirmed with me what she would wear.

Perfectly blending Western and Iranian traditions

Simply put: Nilou made our wedding fantastic. Having a mixed Persian/American wedding posed certain challenges for me and my spouse. Based on word of mouth, I knew our only choice for an officiant was Nilou. Our wedding guests were 50/50 Iranian and American, and literally EVERY SINGLE PERSON, young and old, Irooni and American, raved out our ceremony-- how fun, light and joyful it was. As a pretty low-key bride, I only had one or two check-ins with Nilou and somehow she managed to capture our personalities and facilitate an amazing ceremony. Certainly not an inexpensive option, but truly worth every penny. Thank you, Nilou jan, for everything! We will cherish the memories forever.

Nilou was an absolute dream to work with! it was the best decision we made to have her officiate our wedding. Throughout the planning process during Covid times, Nilou stayed in touch , took the time to get to know my husband and I as a couple to create a beautiful, personalized and meaningful ceremony that was truly about us and our love. She is professional, responsive and so easy to work with that it felt like we knew her for many years. We got so many compliments from our guests about her great speech and beautiful outfit :) We highly recommend Nilou to anyone looking for a memorable experience. Thank you again for making our ceremony the best part of our wedding!

However, a few months before the wedding I was so overwhelmed with all the detail that Brenda offered to meet and she just helped me organized my priorities and made me feel really good about the progress I had made. She did the same 6 weeks later. OMG, so helpful to keep me going and manage the overwhelm. As the date grew nearer, she started leading more to ensure we took care of those horrible details (seating charts, signage, communication with vendors, table set ups, and the timeline, etc). At every moment she was calm, lovely, relatable, fun, reassuring, and extremely competent. The week before the wedding she came over and took ownership of all the "stuff" (candles, ceremony items, decorations, etc). That felt sooo good. She was great at the rehearsal and made sure "all the cats were herded"so we got through the rehearsal and worked out all the details. The day of the wedding? We were so relaxed and didn't think about a single thing. The tables were set exactly as we had discussed, the ambiance was amazing, every little detail she had taken care of. and then she cleaned up and stored everything for us and then brought it back to us a couple of days later. During the wedding, Brenda was a total ninja....I barely saw her at the wedding as she was in the background making it all happen so we could enjoy our guests. A guest even took a picture of her that makes her look like the super hero she is, LOL! You will LOVE working with Brenda. I cannot recommend her more vigorously. She is amazing.

Not only is Cierra hypercompetent at her job and super solutions-oriented and knowledgeable, she is a plain joy to talk to and bounce ideas off of and joke around with. Just an all-round cool human that added to the overall atmosphere of love and appreciation we wanted to foster at our wedding (while also running an impeccably tight ship without breaking a sweat). We told them that setup was scheduled for 3:30pm and the party would start at 5pm. When we didn't see them for a while, we tried calling but didn't get a response. They didn't arrive until around 4:40-4:45pm, which was much later than we expected. They mentioned they thought 3:30pm was just the earliest they could arrive, but we actually needed them there at 3:30pm. Thankfully, once they arrived, the setup was quick, efficient, and they finished in no time. The balloon arrangements themselves were absolutely stunning. We received so many compliments, and they completely transformed the space. They understood the aesthetic we were going for and executed it perfectly. Despite the timing miscommunication, I would still use them again because their customer service was great throughout the planning process, everything was easy to coordinate, and their work was beautiful. With clearer communication on arrival times next time, it would easily be a 5-star experience.
