Katherine officiated over our wedding and she will continue to be our friend for life.

They say that first impressions are usually true and with Katherine, the old cliche proved to be spot on. Within one minute of meeting her in person, I knew that I wanted her to be at the heart of our ceremony. Finding and then choosing Katherine to officiate our ceremony was one of the best decisions we made for the most important day in our lives as a couple. Katherine is intuitive, caring, helpful, intelligent, and fun! She commands a natural, but strong presence, and her ceremony is unique and contains elements that were totally new to my ears (and I've been to a ton of weddings). Katherine provided us with her draft ceremony and was excited to work with us on some back-and-forth edits that would eventually create a ceremony that was absolutely perfect for us. Our wedding was last fall and to this day, I still receive compliments about how unique and sincere our vows were. Katherine was also a wonderful mentor and coach, helping to keep us focused on the beauty of what our main intention was for the day. One night, I was feeling particularly overwhelmed with one planning aspect of the wedding and coincidentally, it was that very night that Katherine called just to check in and see how i was. After a 30 minute heart-to-heart conversation, I felt reassured and immensely better. She's soooooo good like that! And on the practical side, she helped to keep us on time with the development of our customized ceremony and reminded us of the importance of being punctual for our dress rehearsal. Because we had a decent-sized wedding with 150 guests, she even shared some practical advice that would ensure we got time in with all of our guests. What really set Katherine apart from other officiants I've seen at other weddings is that despite not knowing us, she genuinely cared about us as a couple. She spent a lot of time simply getting to know us at our first meeting. She called to check in on me. She spent a lot of time with us during our "touch base" calls/meetings for the ceremony draft. And our calls weren't just about business, it was "how are you" and "how are you feeling" and "remember what this day is about..." It was so great talking to her because things just felt simpler and more in control afterwards. Katherine also cared about our community of friends and family. After both the dress rehearsal and wedding, she made the rounds and visited with our friends and family, confidently introducing herself and getting to know people. She made such a lasting impression on our loved ones! A few last important words about Katherine that is especially meant for anyone considering hiring her for their wedding. Trust that with Katherine, you can achieve the style and mood that you so desire for your wedding ceremony. She is soooo unbelievably flexible and open-minded and I've known her to cater to anyone's lifestyle, faith, or culture. She comes with a spirit of collaboration, but she's experienced enough to take the lead so you will have no worries or surprises on how your ceremony will look and feel. Katherine is a beautiful woman both inside and out and you will be super proud to have her preside over the most important day of your life.

I'm so glad that we decided to work with Katherine as the officiant for our wedding! We reviewed several options online, reading through several reviews. When we initially reached out to Katherine, she called us for an introduction phone call. Note: we live in St. Louis but were having our wedding in San Francisco - so planning from afar is quite nerve-racking! After my call with her, I told my fiancé that she was the one. She was so kind and really took the time to get to know us. She e-mailed us several versions of the vows and we were able to make edits to them. When our wedding got closer, my fiancé and I had a Skype call with Katherine. We did not feel thousands of miles away. We really appreciated her doing a Skype call with us to read through our vows. Katherine's ceremonies can be tailored to your needs. My husband and I come from different religious backgrounds, mine is Christian and his is Hindu, so we were able to have a ceremony about love, relationships and spirituality, rather than focusing on one religion. The vows and ceremonies that Katherine has are truly beautiful and somewhat unique. On our wedding day, Katherine was truly a rock. I did not see the groom until I walked out with my Dad, but I know Katherine was making sure that the groom had his nerves under control all that she could. She also worked with our musicians, Corelli Strings, and our photographer, Sasha Photography, to make sure they were all coordinated and on the same page. Katherine really shows up and takes the reins! We received so many compliments regarding Katherine. We truly loved working with her and would definitely recommend her to any couple for their wedding. Katherine officiated at our wedding this past August in our back yard. We found Katherine online and spoke on the phone initially. She had so many good ideas for the ceremony. We knew she was the right person when we found ourselves in tears after hearing her ideas. We had a few email exchanges about details and helping to write the vows, and later we video chatted. Katherine was super punctual, professional, friendly with all the guests, and helped take charge of many details on the day of the event. She had the right blend of spirituality and fun to fit our families. It was an emotional ceremony, but also joyful. Having Reverend Katherine officiate was one of our best wedding decisions. We heard a lot of compliments for her from our guests.

We were struggling to find someone to serve as officiant and booked Katherine within the last month of planning. We are both pretty indecisive about particulars, and Katherine's preparedness and flexibility really dissolved all of our trepidation in short order. She was able to offer her expertise, work with our desires, and delivered a beautiful ceremony seemingly with ease. I had multiple people tell me it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and she was a large part of it.

Katherine officiated our wedding last year, and I am so thankful to have found her. My husband and I do not belong to a local church and are new to Marin. We didn't know any officiants or ministers and needed to find one for our ceremony . Old St. Hillary's recommended several officiants, and one of them was Katherine Revoir. We interviewed several ministers and had become increasingly frustrated with our choices. Enter Katherine Revoir. She was genuine, and kind, and charismatic. She took into account all of our requests, and customized a beautiful ceremony for us that was both meaningful and authentic. On the day of the wedding, she created a warm and intimate atmosphere that put us and our guests at ease. There was laughter and tears, and many unforgettable moments. We received so many wonderful comments after the wedding. Several of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended, and they really felt like they were part of the ceremony. Planning a wedding is so stressful. Feel confident in knowing that choosing Katherine is one decision you will not regret.

After scouring…read moreYelp and Google and coming across countless options that were not a fit, we had almost given up hope. Luckily, we discovered Ryan's page about a month and a half out from our wedding! Ryan's officiating services are unbeatable. From the moment we met him, we were relieved that we had someone young, well spoken and very professional. We were asked a series of questions to get to know us, but our conversation flowed so naturally that the questions just answered themselves through our normal discourse. We had many laughs, tears of emotion, collaborative moments, emotional moments, therapeutic moments, you name it! Our meetings felt comforting and genuine and I 100% guarantee that we could not have had that experience with another person. Ryan met with us very often prior to our wedding to make sure that the final script was right. He played well into our fun and joyful moments as well as our romantic side. Great and friendly sense of humor and a neutral perspective. My wife's side is Buddhist, my side is Catholic but his speech respected both sides without issue. He got to know us very well and it reflected in his speech. Our wedding was really small and intimate with only our immediate family present, but somehow it felt as if Ryan were one of us. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Highly recommend Ryan!! Thanks.

We met several times in the months leading up, and he took meticulous notes and was always thinking of ways to turn our love into an engaging story and theme for our ceremony. I highly recommend Ryan to anyone looking for an officiant; he went above and beyond everything we hoped for and truly cared about making our day the best it could be.

My wife and I were married in Bodega Bay on May 18th, 2024 and Elizabeth was such a huge reason why our wedding was so special. She got to know my wife and I and was patient with us while we reflected on our relationship. She provided us with insight and examples of ceremony ideas, which really helped us figure out what was important to us. Elizabeth created a story that truly captured my wife and I, and we could not be more grateful for her! She even made copies of our ceremony for us and our moms. During our ceremony, we had a brother read song lyrics, Elizabeth read a poem, and together my wife and I planted a tree using soil from our childhood homes, and Elizabeth made sure everything ran smoothly. We still have people tell us that our ceremony was special, and we have Elizabeth to thank for that. She is wonderful and we highly recommend!

We wanted someone who we felt really understood who we are as individuals and together. Well, our original wedding date was scheduled for early May 2020, so that didn't happen. When we were finally able to reschedule, it was still before people were freely traveling internationally, so our friend was out of the picture and we had no second choice. Defeated, we looked through the recommendations from our wedding planner and only one piqued my interest -- Elizabeth River. I was convinced that she was the best choice just from going through her website, but I was still reluctant that someone we didn't even know could get to know enough about us in just a couple months to be able to create a ceremony that felt personal and reflected who we are. Proceeding the wedding, our Zoom prep meetings with Elizabeth were so much fun! She was effortless to talk to and made us feel so at ease. It was like we were talking to someone we had known a long time. At this point, I absolutely knew that Elizabeth was the right choice, but given every wedding ceremony I've ever sat through, I wasn't expecting anything too original. Well I was dead wrong. The first draft of the ceremony that Elizabeth sent us was so beautiful and captured everything we could've hoped for and more! After the ceremony on our wedding day, several guests asked us who Elizabeth was to us and how long we had known her. Most people assumed she must have been a longtime family friend because of how perfectly the ceremony represented us. It was personal, funny, deeply meaningful, and perfectly tailored to us and what we wanted to express to each other and to our guests. Before we met Elizabeth we didn't put too much importance on the ceremony, but it ended up being just as magical as the rest of our day. Even now, I'm still in disbelief over how special our ceremony was. After our wedding, I wanted to print out our vows to frame but hadn't gotten around to it. On our one year anniversary, Elizabeth sent us a beautiful keepsake copy that we will use to frame! I am so proud of our vows -- they are word for word what my husband and I would like to remind each other of through the good and bad. We are forever grateful to Elizabeth for creating a ceremony for us that surpassed anything we ever thought possible. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway -- I love my friend, but I am eternally thankful that we had the honor of Elizabeth creating and officiating our wedding ceremony for us. Thank you, Elizabeth!

That said, we are sad to be writing only a 3 star review based on our experience. HIGLIGHTS: 1) He was very quick to communicate and always friendly and personable on the phone 2) He was flexible with us changing our date due to the pandemic 3) He was very determined to say my husband's non American name correctly and he did! Thank you so much for that, Reverend Rich! DISAPPOINTMENTS: 1) Wedding day speaking was a lot more monotone and less energetic than what we had hoped for 2) The vows he read at our ceremony were NOT the same as the ones we confirmed in the "final vows" email. 2a) My husband and I both checked this before I sat down to write this review. At best, this was a lack of organization that left us surprised at the altar. Specifically, we removed "for the first time" when Reverend Rich would introduce us as "Mr. and Mrs." We had explained to Reverend Rich that because of covid, we had already been legally married for a year and I had been going by my new last name since then. So, it was not "for the first time" that I was "Mrs.". Some of our less close guests were left confused, and my husband and I had to hide our frustration at the end of the ceremony. Reverend Rich was also aware that we did not need to be legally wed (since again, we had already been legally married for a year at that point), as we discussed not having a marriage license for him to sign. 2b) He also had added "let's do that again" after my husband and I kissed. It wasn't clear if we were supposed to kiss again (which we did), or if the audience didn't clap loud enough to his opinion. The possibility of the latter left us somewhat embarrassed. TLDR; nice guy, but the word doc called "final vows" that we got was not in fact the same doc that he read at our ceremony
