I walked into my room and all the lights were on. It was night time when I arrived so I'm glad they were all on. You need your room key inserted into this slot by the door to keep the entry light on at all times. Room has a fridge, microwave, dishes, utensils and sink. The room itself is a good size and very clean. Bathroom has a stand-up shower. Hair dryer provided. They have complimentary breakfast and free wi-fi. Loved my stay and wish I could've stayed longer. The presence of a live bed bug on the day of checkout is unacceptable, and the hotel's disregard for guest concerns is alarming. Ample parking with wide spaces although I was unpleasantly surprised that this hotel, like so many others in the Bay Area, recently started charging a fee for parking (as of Oct 2025, $7/night). This applies even to the highest level of Hilton HHonors program members. While not an exorbitant amount, it still smacks of the kinds of ridiculous nickel and diming that many hotels engage in recently. Otherwise, my stays here are usually pretty restful, with a diverse selection of nearby dining options, clean rooms with more A/C outlets than most hotels in its price range, and fairly modern decor.

Cons: No USB ports in the room?! Hotel is fairly close to the sketchy side of town (homeless camp 200 ft from hotel). No cold bottled water for rewards members, no pool, no airport shuttle, carpeting instead of laminate flooring, paid parking, our thermostat was really glitchy and would not work. Added benefit: your hotel key gains you access to the Executive Inn and Suites next door. There you will find a small pool/hot tub. There's also a small bar that opens at 5pm (happy hour 5:30-7:30) and you can order food as well. A Monday night stay was $325 and they charge $17 a day to park in their lot next to Hwy 880, not in a garage. Everything was what I remembered it to be except that this visit was relaxing! I was on the 3rd floor right across from the elevator which was convenient and had a beautiful balcony to enjoy the relaxing view! The room was king bed with water view and there's everything you need to make your stay comfortable, refrigerator, safe, microwave, coffee maker, sofa, large desk, coffee table, drawers and a separate closet, separate bathtub and shower. I also had a mobile massage from my CMT and later that night, enjoyed a nice bubble bath in the tub! The only thing missing in my room was a usb outlet on the bedside table. The outlet was on the desk so you could plug in your cube or charger. Complimentary breakfast the next morning 6-9 am weekdays was good with scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, cereal, instant oatmeal, fruit, bagels, muffins, waffle you can make, coffee, tea and juices. Parking is $15 per day. Another tip is that you are able to use the pool and hot tub next door as they are sister hotels (Executive Inn and Suites). Next door as salmon/steak dinner most nights except Sundays and holidays and they also have a bar. I would recommend this hotel to any visitors coming to Oakland.
