You need your room key inserted into this slot by the door to keep the entry light on at all times. Room has a fridge, microwave, dishes, utensils and sink. The room itself is a good size and very clean. Bathroom has a stand-up shower. Hair dryer provided. They have complimentary breakfast and free wi-fi. Loved my stay and wish I could've stayed longer. However, I never received any follow-up from a manager at the location. The lack of communication and failure to address this serious issue is beyond disappointing. The presence of a live bed bug on the day of checkout is unacceptable, and the hotel's disregard for guest concerns is alarming. I would highly recommend avoiding this property until significant improvements are made. I certainly won't be returning, and I'm left questioning the standards of this hotel chain. Ample parking with wide spaces although I was unpleasantly surprised that this hotel, like so many others in the Bay Area, recently started charging a fee for parking (as of Oct 2025, $7/night). This applies even to the highest level of Hilton HHonors program members. While not an exorbitant amount, it still smacks of the kinds of ridiculous nickel and diming that many hotels engage in recently. Otherwise, my stays here are usually pretty restful, with a diverse selection of nearby dining options, clean rooms with more A/C outlets than most hotels in its price range, and fairly modern decor.

Cons: No USB ports in the room?! Hotel is fairly close to the sketchy side of town (homeless camp 200 ft from hotel). No cold bottled water for rewards members, no pool, no airport shuttle, carpeting instead of laminate flooring, paid parking, our thermostat was really glitchy and would not work. Added benefit: your hotel key gains you access to the Executive Inn and Suites next door. There you will find a small pool/hot tub. There's also a small bar that opens at 5pm (happy hour 5:30-7:30) and you can order food as well. A Monday night stay was $325 and they charge $17 a day to park in their lot next to Hwy 880, not in a garage. Everything was what I remembered it to be except that this visit was relaxing! I was on the 3rd floor right across from the elevator which was convenient and had a beautiful balcony to enjoy the relaxing view! The room was king bed with water view and there's everything you need to make your stay comfortable, refrigerator, safe, microwave, coffee maker, sofa, large desk, coffee table, drawers and a separate closet, separate bathtub and shower. I also had a mobile massage from my CMT and later that night, enjoyed a nice bubble bath in the tub! The only thing missing in my room was a usb outlet on the bedside table. The outlet was on the desk so you could plug in your cube or charger. Complimentary breakfast the next morning 6-9 am weekdays was good with scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, cereal, instant oatmeal, fruit, bagels, muffins, waffle you can make, coffee, tea and juices. Parking is $15 per day. Another tip is that you are able to use the pool and hot tub next door as they are sister hotels (Executive Inn and Suites). Next door as salmon/steak dinner most nights except Sundays and holidays and they also have a bar. I would recommend this hotel to any visitors coming to Oakland.

Had to walk back to the bullet proof window 3 times within 20 minutes on day 1 of my stay because the room key kept deactivating. Only after the 3rd time did the lady tell me that if they get ANYWHERE near an electronic device, the key deactivates. I've never heard of that. Even after keeping the key far away from any electronics, I still had to get it reactivated 5 more times throughout my stay; almost every day. They actually had the nerve to suggest that I didn't know how to open a hotel room door so I even took a video showing them it wasn't working. Once I got in the room, there where cockroaches; poop and blood stains on the sheets; and black stains on almost all of the towels. House keeping never came to my room (stayed for a week) so I had to track them down with their cart just to get basic necessities like toilet paper and soap. Don't even try the wifi because it's useless. Spoke with the owner about my horrible experience upon check out and she tells me that "we could have addressed these issues at the time but you didn't bring them up." Regardless of when I bring it up, what are you prepared to do about it? She just shrugs her shoulders. I ask her specifically what she would have done to address it at the time and all she could say on repeat like a broken record is "well we could have addressed this at the time." Clearly wouldn't have done anything to address it. I had already killed the roaches so what exactly would you have done? Given me another room? That would have been my 3rd room since getting there. Why would I want another room? So I have to tear that room apart looking for more roaches as well? Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. WILL BE speaking with health department.
