This place is terrible! The lobby reeks of hydraulic oil and weed! The furniture is older and has lots of scratches! Pillows were terrible. Not firm at all. Bedspread was old and had cigarette burns. I've stayed here several times because I have family nearby and their rates are reasonable. They don't have irons in the rooms and lack toiletries. I asked for extra towels and was questioned about it. I had an emergency at home and had to leave a day earlier. I was told by the woman at the desk to let her the day before. I did and she told me she couldn't do anything because I paid through Expedia. I called Expedia and they asked me the name of the person to talked to earlier. She refused to give me that information and said, " You don't need to know! They know who to talk to!" I informed Expedia and was told Expedia would call. I asked to check out and the woman took my room cards and said, " We don't give you check out receipt!" She walked away! Rude! I would give it a minus 5 rating on customer service. Rude clerk, manager seems straight up biased for whatever her made up reasons, checked in she was sarcastic and rude for no reason. This place is disgusting. I stayed here because I work in Emeryville and did not feel like driving home since I stay in Sacramento. Anyways I woke up and I was itching in several places I thought I had been bitten by mosquitoes or something. I checked out about 7:30am since I had work. I notified the manger about all the bites and she said she could do nothing for me. As the day went along my arm begin to swell and those bites grew larger and larger. I went to Kaiser only to find out they were bed bugs. I called the manager again and she said what do you expect me to do. I was so upset here it is that the finds where bed bugs and she could care less. I only asked that she exterminate so no one has to go through this because this is nasty, painful, and it's violating that I spend my hard earned money for a peaceful night that I did not receive. I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I am with this place and the management. I've been here before but this visit has really changed it all. I dosed off around 10pm. I woke up around 12am, went to the restroom, and when I returned I saw something crawling on my bed! I looked closer and it was a bed bug! My husband travels for work and he was unfortunately placed here for a night, he found hairs under the sheets and knew they had not changed the sheets, he called just to simply have his sheets changed to fresh clean sheets, a request that most hotels are happy to oblige to, not this place, the front office repeatedly hung up on him when he asked if his sheets could be changed, and accused him of making noise... noise or not, a respectable facility should have clean sheets/bed for each guest, so please if you are one who enjoys clean hygiene AVOID THIS PLACE! First of all, they charge $109 per night and they have no breakfast of any kind. Hell, they don't even have in-room coffee! Gang bangers roaming the hallways, it seems like a nice place to get mugged. It's located in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a 7-11 within 2 miles. And then the W-Fi wasn't working. When I called the front desk the guys says "Yeah, it's not working. The guy won't be in today." when I complained about paying for something I wasn't getting, he says "We only provide that for free. Friend and I had been driving all night from LA and booked a room between the hours of 4-5AM. After booking the room, we see that "booking doesn't start until 3PM" as the rude woman checking guests stated. We asked if we could cancel the reservation since we're drained from the trip and they would charge us the full price of the stay just to cancel!! I was just ripped off! Decided to check out Budget Inn because the price was reasonably priced at $99 per night. We booked 2 nights 12/12/16-12/14/16. The clerk was not very friendly to begin with and had an attitude when we asked why we had to pay $5 to get a 2nd room key. We get to our room and immediately smell the stench of cigarettes! Smelled like someone was smoking 20 packs a day( and no, I am not exaggerating! The stale smell was horrible!) I immediately called the front desk to tell them they put us in a smoking room, keep in mind we were never asked if smoking was ok. We were told if we wanted to change rooms we would have to pay about $20 more! I told them I would speak with my partner, who was in the restroom at the time and call them back. As my partner was coming out of the restroom, I pulled back the blankets and found discolored sheets, both blankets had burn holes in them and the smaller cover had stains. I said we are not staying here and immediately went online to see what else was available nearby. We grabbed our belongings and as we were leaving, my partner pulled back the curtains and the inside of the curtains even had stains! We went to the front desk and advised him we would like a refund. We were in the room maybe 15 minutes. He said he had to check the room 1st. We waited a few minutes and when he returned he said we would not get a refund because the toilet had been used and the tub was wet, (my partner turned on the water in the tub to see how hot the water was while he was in there). I argued with the owner that he knew my partner was using the restroom because I told him that while I was on the phone with him. I told him he is using that as an excuse to not give us our money back. He basically said we had to take the room or leave. Then proceeded to call the cops! The cops arrived and said they have been at this hotel many times for the exact same reason! They said it's a civil matter and the owners have never issued a refund. On top of that the owner lied and told the cops we had been there an hour! The owner told us we could change rooms but we would forfeit what was already paid and we would have to pay full price for another room because he didn't have a maintenance staff to re clean the room! There was no way we were sleeping in that room and at this point I didn't want to stay there period! So they kept our $99 paid for the 1st night and refunded the 2nd night. I took pictures of the blankets and wish I would have taken pictures of the sheets, pillow cases, and curtains. Total rip off! Don't waist your time here! The rooms are Nasty. Customer Service sucks and the owners could care less once they have your money. The cops, who were awesome by the way, suggested we keep the room and go to Walmart and buy new sheets to avoid losing the money. Wow really???? I will pass. Not worth it at all! You have been warned just pay an extra $25-$50 and go to a franchised location. At least you will have a course of recourse should things go wrong. I wish I could give no stars. This place started off okay but ended in a nightmare. I have never in my life been treated like this whatsoever.... I came around 2pm and left at 1. My Boyfriend came back at around 230am and his key didn't work he went to the front desk and the issued him another one. When he entered the room it spelled like weed which was on the counter and cigarette buds in the toilet keep in mind its a non-smoking room and remember no one was there from 4pm to 230am. After he cleaned it up he proceeded to fall asleep, then he was awaken by someone entering into the room which they didn't get in all the way because the extra security lock was on the door. He went to the door and it was 3 young females saying that this was there room. (They are the ones that were in there smoking) He told them it wasn't closed the door an went to sleep. Around 7am he went to the front office and explained the situation and asked for a refund. The lady said that she refunded the girls. He said they where in the room when I wasn't here why would you refund them, She said my son doubled booked the room and basically too bad.
