We called Pat's to diagnose and repair our boiler, which decided to crap out on us on a Sunday. The tech, Michael quickly gave us a call back, and within an hour he arrived at our place. Michael not only diagnosed and repaired the boiler in record time, but he was also kind enough to take the time to thoroughly explain how a hydronic heater works, and all of the necessary maintenance involved. Michael was extremely knowledgeable with all things HVAC. We were charged a very fair price for the labor, especially considering the weekend callout. Fast forward a few weeks, and we called out Michael to update some of the heater controls. Again, Michael provided outstanding service and corrected a few other issues with our hydronic system. Update 4-14-2026 To finalize this exchange and summarize Pat's treatment of my family and I. I have been extorted by Robert, accused of fluffing the bill, and essentially told that due to Pat's mistakes I am no longer welcome to use the service. This last part is verifiable in the response given to me. To whomever is above Robert I want to clarify how this situation was 100% caused by your company and now I am being painted to be the villain. If you pull the phone record you will hear that my family and I never once asked for a discount. In fact Robert was adamant he make it right and reactively (as this was after the first screw up) offered to take this job on the chin. I encourage you to ask Michael, as he is a super honest employee of the conversations we had with him as he made a mistake and misquoted. I assure you he will be nothing but truthful regardless if he made the blunder. With all this being said I am now not welcome to use your service according to the Google commentator. For that I am bummed as the workmanship, when Pat's does show up has been historically a class act. I have contacted the BBB, and Angie's list due to the extortion and treatment by Robert and Pat's heating as a whole. I do not care what the outcome is but to sit back and be bullied due to Pat's mistakes, and Robert's incompetence is absolutely ludacris. To the owner, if you want to make right terminate Robert's employment and I would be more then willing to continue business as my family has done so for the last 20 years. Robert has done nothing, and I mean nothing to make any of this experience pleasurable. Even eating the job, which your team did as Robert promised, came at the expense of extortion, and painting my family and I as the villain. I must say that the treatment of my wife and dying father (the one sitting home waiting for Pats delaying treatments to be available) lead me to get involved. The owner is welcome to call my dad and he will give you my number. I will not discuss anything with Robert as 99% of these issues came from his failed management. To any users reading this know I do this to show you the caliber of people Pat's employees. In the unfortunate event an issue does arise that is out of your control it is evident Robert will say whatever it takes to try fixing the solution but do minimal to help. A liar is a liar, beware before making any Deals with him and I will encourage anyone to get anything he says in writing to expedite the back and forth I had to do to get him to honor his commitment. read more

Pat's Heating & Cooling was referred to me by my niece who had contracted with them also for a new HVAC system for her home. I was more than pleased with their quick follow up, and ability to come to my home to assess my situation and make a recommendation. Shawn was very courteous, polite and knowledgeable about the business, their products and services. I appreciated his honesty, offering the best needed solution. He provided options, and means to get the right products and the best price. He looked up rebates from the manufacturer and those incentives for tax credits, which other companies didn't bring up much less offer to do. Based on this, I was able to get the 2-stage furnace for less $ than the 1-stage. Yay!! Pricing for both the air and furnace were significantly less $ than other company quotes. Yay!!! Those that came to install were very professionally, knowledgeable and thorough. They explained their install process, plus how the units work and how to set up and work the thermostat. He even added silicone around the pipes outside after I asked him to ensure my existing ones wouldn't move around, etc. They followed up after by email to see if everything is okay, and also sent emails with the info on the manufacturer warranty that was set up by them on my behalf. So glad they took care of it for me. Lastly, the lovely box of gourmet chocolates I received from them was a big hit at my house!! So happy I went with Pat's!!! Can't say enough about this company! I have used them for annual service and general repairs over the past 5+ years, and not once have I ever had a bad experience. Contacted Pat's In October in Regard to some plumbing I had done by an apprentice plumber Lots of air in my boiler heating pipes throughout the house. Pats sent a technician out to bleed the lines which he did. He was there for maybe 45 minutes charged me $275 and left a zone valve open to my upstairs I came home from work to 85 degrees in my upstairs. I flipped the valve shut myself. Now I'm having issues with a pressure release valve discharging water Really not sure I want to contact pats to look into this for fear of another costly bill . read more

I'm very pleased with Pat's. Woke up on a one of the coldest days of the year to find my furnace not generating heat. When I called Pat's, the service department reps were extremely friendly and sympathetic. They explained that they were having one of their busiest days of the year, but would get a tech over as soon as possible. The tech arrived ahead of schedule, and fixed the problem in under an hour. I was a little bummed, when I learned I needed a new furnace. It is December, and I really didn't need an added expense, with the holidays around the corner. The staff, however, is amazing. They explained everything and even answered questions that I forgot to ask. The men who installed my furnace were totally professional. They both had a good sense of humor and were fun to have around. November 11, 2012 - Turned the thermostat up this morning and the furnace only came on for a few seconds, then died. Called Pat's Heating & A/C at 9:00 a.m. and they were there by 3:00 p.m. that afternoon, in spite of a full schedule. By 11:00 a.m. the next day, we had a new, more efficient furnace in place and putting out the heat. We couldn't ask for better service than that! read more

Our house's heating / ventilation system is a non-standard setup without A/C. We had contacted several other heating and cooling companies to come up with a solution to retrofit A/C into our home. We weren't comfortable with their proposals due to price, and/or installation complexity. Pat's (Shaun) analyzed our system, and quickly came up with a first rate answer to our needs that fit our budget. Our home presented the installation crew with some challenges like 18" concrete exterior walls, and 12" x 8" steel girders for example. They handled these obstacles skillfully and did a great installation. We couldn't be more satisfied with the results. The installation crew was pleasant, courteous, neat, and easy to work with. We've now been using the A/C for the last four months and love it! We look forward to using the auxiliary heat element of the system this upcoming winter season.
