Since 2006 I've been coming here almost exclusively. I've liked the extended hours and businesslike but friendly atmosphere, reminiscent of the barbershops my father used to take me to (more years ago than I care to remember!) Of late I have mostly been tonsurized by Ron. I wasn't in the habit of making an appointment, but may have to start! Yesterday, my wife demanded I finally see a barber, after I'd been putting it off for a couple of months. Ron had already gone home, so I asked Gina to make me look like an executive with a $200 haircut (but only charge me $22.50 for a senior cut.) And what do you know - she did! Not only that, she did it without extraneous conversation! She'd been conversing freely with the previous customer, so it was a pleasant surprise. My wife was very happy with the result, agreeing with my impression that this may be the best haircut I've ever had here. She told me I should give Gina a great review, so here it is! read more

This has been my go-to barber for the last couple of years. Great old school style barber, still do old fashioned razor shaves. I can confirm that most negative experiences here have come from a past barber who took walk-ups and has since left. Rick is the co-owner and has a a lot of experience. I recommend him and Brandon. Oracio is good too (only used him once). I WOULD NOT recommend coming as a walk up, you'll be better off getting who you want by making a reservation in advance. read more

I went in for a haircut. My hair had been fairly long and I'd grown it out for two years and finally decided to cut it. The older guy who sat me down said he'd been cutting hair since the 70s so I expected good things. I showed him a reference photo and when he started, he turned me away from the mirror and started cutting and cut my hair about two inches shorter than I'd showed him. I can't really style it the way I'd like at all and it'll take four months before it's what I want again. My sons first actual Barber shop haircut and it was the worst haircut I have ever seen (next to the other photos I have seen in reviews for 9 to 9 barbershop). Went in for a #2 low fade Cesar cut. What my son got was a hard crooked line bowl cut. Gina was on the phone the whole time talking with friends not caring at all about my sons haircut. Can't believe this shop cares so little. The staff was nice. I mean I didn't enjoy listening to the barber next to us talk to his client about politics much though. The girl who did my son's hair was way nice however, the cut not so much. My son doesn't move more than your average adult would and the whole cut was off. He was supposed to get just a basic fade and there's no fade. Just a couple chunks missing and when I said a little off the top she cut about a full inch. His line up was crooked and there were patches of long hair all over. I had to spend $22 on that cut then another $30 to have someone fix it. There's also no music or anything so it's just awkwardly dead quiet the whole time besides your occasional talk of politics. I'm sure she was nervous or something but I definitely won't be bringing my son back here. read more

This place is very nice, they have about 5 barbers that work there and not all at once I don't think but they have some pretty skillful barbers. They have a keggerator but I don't think it works. I had to take a picture of it of course. read more

This is a fantastic barber shop. You can walk in or make an appointment. There are several barbers here so even if you walk in, you usually don't have to wait long. Ron has been cutting my hair for years and my wife always seems to find me a bit more handsome after Ron cuts my hair...you can't ask for more than that! There's always a good discussion going on about sports, politics or some other current event. The service is fantastic and the prices are reasonable...unless you want your nose hairs trimmed...you'll need to get a loan if you expect them to do that! read more

Upon walking in, the four available staff members were all playing on their phones and had headphones in..... I was eventually seated after available barbers went back and forth as far as who should have to work on my cut, as if no one wanted to actually work. I was seated with a lady who was very sweet. Once I got home and was able to do my hair for the first time after the cut, I noticed she took my fade about an inch higher on one side than the other. Found she shaved one side in the back while the other side was blended correctly. Also found I still had a number of hairs right above my ear that I had to trim myself. Honestly the worst hair cut I have had in a long time. I would not even expect this poor of quality from a school or supercuts. read more

David showed me the worst hour and a half of my life! I wouldn't let this guy sheer a sheep! I walked in and David asked me if I had an appointment, I told him he didn't and He said "ok, I'm the guy who cuts your hair when you don't have an appointment". NOW I KNOW WHY! I told him I wanted a high zero fade with a faux hawk on top. This is what I told my last barber and they did great. Even my sister who was still in hair school could do it. He said "skin?" I said I dono what you mean by skin but I just get a zero up to here then fade, and he said ok that's skin. David turned me away from the mirror and towards the TV so I wouldn't have to witness the carnage then hacked away at my hair for a half hour then showed me the mirror and I explained that I wanted it to fade higher from where he left off with the zero and to carve lines at my cusdasacs. He proceeded to shave my head almost to the top (no fade) and it wasn't even symmetrical! I was furious I didn't even know what to do. I got him to at least shave the same distance up my head and fade the little bit that was left but the lines he carved weren't even symmetrical and I noticed later that he shaved some hair from the front of my hairline. I almost walked at the end and refused to pay in fact I would have if my wife wasn't with me. I didn't want to make a scene and embarrass her. My haircut was so bad a homeless man made fun of it as my wife and I were walking into target later that evening. I would never recommend this place! David should have his license revoked! I'm going to file a complaint with the board. read more

I initially thought Gina did a decent job but after my son's shower we noticed all the uneven areas. We asked her to leave his bangs long at the front and she chopped them off, basically the front looks like Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dumber. And the back of his hair looks like Alfalfa from Little Rascals!!! Never going there again. Luckily we still have a few weeks before school hopefully his hair luckily we still have a few weeks before school hopefully his hair will grow out so we can go get his hair fixed somewhere else.... read more

Simply the very best you can do for yourself. Beauty schools don't teach men's hair. They teach for the masses. 9 to 9 has the old school master barbers you want. They have taught, apprenticed, and mentored through real techniques for men's hair and grooming. I've been going there for years. It's a clean, warm, friendly place to relax and chat. The barbers and customers are always great. It's sad this kind of shop is slowly giving way to the chains who just don't know how to give a good cut. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Disappointed with the experience. Told barber that I liked my hair long in the back and need it long on crown of head as terrible cowlick. Didn't get either of these. Also didn't catch hair on sides of neck. Wanted just off ears and it is way off. Like she didn't listen al all. I feel Scammed! This was my first time going here and also my last. I went in looking for a minor beard trim. Online it said $6. After 10 minutes in the chair he said that I needed to shave around my beard myself and that we were all done. I thought it was weird because the previous place I went to did that as part of the service.. He didn't even brush off the clippings from my face. Oh well maybe this place is different I thought. I went up to pay and he handed me the receipt. $10 for the service. I told him I thought it was $6 and he said it starts at $6 and depends on what what we needed to do.. At that point I don't know why I tipped $2 but I did and the entire drive home I was confused and felt cheated.. Let's say it was only $6 but he self added a tip. That's $4 and then I gave him $2 = $6 Grande Total $12 for a beard trim? A minor one at that. It was supposed to be get rid of the stray hairs so it had better shape. Here is the break down. NineToNine Barber - 10 min light beard trim, NO shave, NO cleanup = $10 before tip Previous Place in Lehi 15 minute medium beard trim, Shave, Cleanup, Shaping Product, Shoulder Massage, Friendly Conversation - $7 before tip Needless to say I won't be going back. Good solid service. Decent haircut. Nothing special. I asked for a beard trim and he just ran it over with the clippers quickly but he also didn't charge me for it so that was a good surprise. Rick is great! very personable, nice guy, and gives a great haircut. He really takes his time with people and I think most of the time he spends about half an hour on me. You even get a neck massage!!! I tried 7 other barbershops in the area during my first few years in town and really wasn't sufficiently pleased with any of them before I found Rick. you do need to call for an appointment. the only bad reviews of this barbershop came from people out of town and you have to wonder if they even went to this barbershop. One of them posted a bad review the same day he posted a great review for someone else which suggests it was fake. give these guys a try! read more
