Sofia got the order all wrong, and to make things worse they charged me double. My wife called and asked to speak to to the owner, not there, no problem. Asked to speak to the manager and waited on the phone for quite a bit. Finally a man came on the phone and said "he's busy" in a very rude manner. We don't expect people to understand how hard it is to spend the day without food or water until sun down. What we DO expect is that employees to be at least professional when dealing with customers. I guess "he's busy" sums up the regard the manager has for the people who put food on his table. I used to be a customer of their store in Chula Vista since 2014, when we moved here in 2021 we continued being customers to the Lakeside store. Even though we have bought several items that were perished (lentils with bugs) we continued being loyal customers and have NEVER once complained. From now on it will be Lulu's (Vine Ripe) where at least I know the food is halal and fresh. We waited 20 minutes after Cat left, and Mimi never came by our table to ask us if we needed anything. She appeared to be ignoring the entire section. She spent most of her time standing over by the wait station or talking to customers at the bar (which I assume we're not her customers). The only reason we were able to order another round is another server that was not working our section came by and asked us if we needed anything. When Mimi finally did come to our table, we just asked for the check so we could pay and leave. The name on the check was Miranda so I'm not sure what that is about. We did also observe that the two bartenders who were working seemed to be cut from the same cloth as Cat, as they were friendly, engaging moving around quickly taking care of those sitting at the bar. If we're ever back in the area and decide to try again, if we see Mimi is working, we will either leave and go somewhere else , or maybe try to sit in someone else's section.
