I am writing to express my formal complaint regarding my experiences at Crest Foods. I have lived in Crest for over six years and have always made an effort to support our local businesses, but several serious issues have led me to stop supporting this business. Years ago, I unfortunately suffered from food poisoning after consuming pizza from Crest Foods. While I continued to support their establishment for other services, my recent experiences at the gas station have been even more concerning. I discovered that my credit card was charged for gas that I did not purchase. Furthermore, I have noticed significant discrepancies in gas pricing and volume compared to stations at the bottom of the hill. These experiences have left me feeling that local customers are being taken advantage of. Especially after bringing the issue directly to their staff and being given excuses that didn't make any sense while shifting blame to customers . There has been a lot of issues with the gas station here. A lot of people that live up here in Crest complain about the holds put on their credit cards by the owners when they use their credit cards at the pump. This has just started happening. When brought to the owner's attention they don't really care and blame it on the card. Now a $200 hold eventually comes off 4+ days later but that's still a hold on their card that affects their available credit. In today's economy that can really be a problem. Only reason to really come here is decently priced gas. Even that was not wanted by the community from what I understand and the owner did it anyways. Inside is well stocked with multiple aisles of goods and a refrigerator section of drinks. I haven't had any food from here, so I can't comment on that. The employees are pretty rude and bothered if you need propane or any other help. I'd patronize the Rainbow Market up the street if you don't need gas. read more

This is my favorite pizza. We usually get pepperoni pizza or calzones and they are delicious. I also love the convenience and price of the gas station, even though I know some friends don't like it for other reasons including the light pollution for the neighbors. Ordered 2 sandwiches...1 turkey and 1 pastrami.. got them home and what a waste... both sandwiches had 1 piece of meat and 1 piece of cheese with lettuce tomatoes and onions. They need to learn how to make a sandwich worth $8 and not be so cheap... that was my first time ordering from them and my last!! read more

Ok... I am updating Crest Foods and I am giving them an extra star. The reason being the friendly employees. I have noticed the last few times that I have stopped in that they are genuinely friendly guys. I needed my propane tank refilled last week and it was raining out. When I came in the guy didn't bat an eye. He threw on his hoodie and happily walked outside with me. In general I don't expect such good service from this type of establishment, but they have surprised me so I say 4 stars for them. If they give the place a deep clean and lower the price of Moet I will give them a fifth star. :-) read more

Ordered a pizza with pepperoni and pepperoncinis. Went in to pick it up, I pay, was handed a pizza, I walk out. I drive the 20 minuets home where my hungry family is waiting and what do we find.... pepperoni and PICKLES! Do people order that? Ok. Mistakes are made, I understand. So I call to let them know I may have been given someone else's pickle pizza by mistake. Not only am I told this was not a mistake, I was given a pickle pizza ON PURPOSE because they were out of pepperoncinis, but they will not replace my pickle pizza. Nice to have this liquor/pizza store up here at the top of Crest. Pizza and sandwiches are not half bad and the prices are very reasonable. There American and Greek salads are not very fresh and this is why they only received four stars. Most importantly they always have a good selection of half gallons of ice cream. read more

Granted, I'm not a comparison shopper when it comes to price, but they have a good selection of beer and munchies and the pizza is awesome considering you don't have to drive down the hill to get it. This quick stop is great. It has a good selection of local beers and lots of wine to choose from. The giant pizzas are our go-to pizza when we're home - the garlic butter crust is so good and there is something special about the sausage. Plus the kids love that it's square-cut. Under new ownership - these guys are A++ - I am always treated with kindness - the store is also super clean and well stocked! The pizza is excellent and so are the sandwiches! They almost always know what I want as soon as I walk in! I have asked for specific alcohols and cigarettes - and they have it always readily stocked. I've even asked them for specific alcohol and they have had it and even discounted it when they didn't have full stock! Zach and Steve are always a pleasure to see! This is about as good as you can find in a small town neighborhood market. In a community of only 2,600 people with Albertsons 4 miles away, it's not practical to expect them to carry fresh meat or produce, but some frozen vegetables and ground beef would be nice. They dedicate too much shelf space to wine (C'mon, it's Crest!) and not enough to spam and canned beans, but it's the right place to go if you run out of hot dogs or beer during a barbecue or quickly need milk, bread, and eggs. Booze is cheap but grocery prices are a little high; that's to be expected. They're still lower than those down the hill at 7-Eleven and it's a lot more convenient than a convenience store. The employees are always happy to chat while I'm waiting for a pizza or sandwich, and they take special requests for products; if you want something and will buy it on a regular basis, they'll start carrying it. Propane is among the lowest prices you'll find anywhere nearby. The pizza is the best you'll find for 5 bucks and yesterday I saw them rolling out scratch-made dough, and the sandwiches aren't limited by the menu. You can't buy that kind of customer service. I'm not saying that just because I live here (There is another local business up here that I've lambasted regularly.) and I don't know the owner. I'm just really pleased with them. read more

I've had their take-out pizza a few times, it's alright. Toppings and cheese are good quality, but the crust is not buttered and completely unseasoned. I live in Crest and have for 9 yrs, and we have had lots of turn over either management or new owners but these guys seem genuine and friendly with a desire to be apart of our little community. I give them a 4 star for customer service and pleasant personalities , and the prices are normal for a mini mart, the only reason they don't get a 5 star is lack of selection ! , you have more room so fill it . I've ordered take out pizza a few times and it is delicious. Any toppings I want these guys put it on there. The yound guys working there are super respectful and take care of me every time. Just give them a call and let them know what you want and they will hook it up. And you can always pair their pizza with all of that wine they have. Best pizza deal in town, plus it is great pizza. For 4.99 you get a 2 topping personal pizza that is enough for 3 meals. Instead of paying 20.00 for one pizza for my family of three, we each get our own custom pizza. I ask for a little extra sauce on mine. Very friendly service read more
