Hosted a joint 10 year old birthday party for about 20 kids and 20 adults. Planning the party was simple with Regan. It was clear that his top priorities were safety and all guests having fun. He worked with our schedule needs and the kids various interests. Our kids were nonstop running around, laughing, having a great time. And the best part as a party mom was that he frequently encouraged me to sit back and relax as he and his staffed had everything under control with the kids. The facility is clean and spacious. This is a great place to come to if you have a high energy kid that needs to burn their energy off. My son has recently taken an interest to American Ninja Warrior and Nina Republic has obstacle courses set up that mirror the same obstacles you would see on the show, which is really cool. We came by on an afternoon during open gym - you pay a flat fee to get up to 4 hours of playtime. While there are some staff members present that might give a bit of guidance on how to go through the courses, it is relatively hands off and you are on your own. Parents can sit on the chairs on the side to watch, but can also go on the mat as needed to assist their kids. My son really enjoyed his experience here - when he started off, he could only go halfway up the warped wall but after a couple of hours of practice, was able to reach the top with his hand. He is already looking forward to his next visit here so he can try again. Everyone wears their outside shoes on the mat so I think that takes away a bit from the cleanliness of the place, especially on the type of rainy day that we came by. Bathrooms could have also been a bit better maintained - paper products were running low and soap ran out as well. We've been to this ninja gym three times now for open gym and overall it's a fantastic place for kids to burn off energy! The obstacle setups are creative, challenging, and fun for a wide range of ages. The facility is clean, with plenty of well-maintained padding and safety surfaces. My kids always leave smiling and tired--which is exactly what I'm hoping for. That said, weekends can get pretty chaotic. There are a lot of kids on the floor at once, and not enough staff actively monitoring to keep kids in their lanes or using equipment safely. What's been especially concerning is seeing babies and toddlers under 3 crawling around the obstacle area. It creates a real safety risk for both the littlest ones and the older kids who are running and jumping at full speed. I'd love to see the gym implement clearer age zones or rules about young toddlers on the floor, and increase staff supervision--especially during peak times. With a bit more structure, this would easily be a five-star experience every time. Still, the concept and quality are great, and we'll definitely be back (maybe on a weekday next time!). read more

Had my kids birthday party here. I think the activities have an inherited amount of risk and you know that going in to it. The staff make you aware of it and do their best to minimize risk of injury to participants. The problem I have is with the lack of padding on some clearly high likelihood of contact areas. During the party I witnessed 3 minor injuries on the area farthest from the check in counter. These injuries all came from children using the equipment appropriately. Some exposed screw heads in that area as well. Overall, it was a fun experience but I think those hazards could be easily addressed for a nominal cost. read more

This place is AMAZING!! It's clean and well run, with very friendly staff. My kids go there a lot for thier camps, and always come back happy and tired with tales of new ninja moves. We had my daughter's 6th bday here today and it was really good! The staff were very attentive and ran the party obstacle course smoothly, the kids had a great time. They also looked after decorations, bday cake lighting/cutting, handing out pizza, very helpful as I had my hands full with a toddler. I was also looking for a larger space that is also contained and not too busy for this party as we have some kiddos that can get overstimulated or go wandering if stressed and this ticks those boxes. I also emailed Regan, the owner before the party to ask if we can visit the space for my autistic kiddo to feel comfortable and he suggested an open gym time that was quieter, which worked out well for us. read more

monthly schedule is posted on their website...2 hours cost $25 per child during open gym...they also offer classes, afterschool programs and camps during the year...private birthday parties are $675 for 20 children and $20 additional per extra child...the space is large with two separate rooms and a large lobby area, so it appears they can accommodate small or larger groups...waivers are required, so get that done first or arrive early....multiple padded sections with different challenges...scaling a wall or swinging on a rope...variation of rings or moving monkey bars to get across...slack lines and beams to balance across or other padded obstacles big and small...not the safest, so injuries can happen...kids climb, swing and will fall...the staff didn't look very enthusiastic, but they did their job and roamed around the room...help kids if needed...it's a good place for children to get their energy out... read more

If your child has a disability, I would not recommend coming here. We attended a birthday party, and the staff completely excluded my son because of his disability. He was left out of the group birthday photo and all the other activities with the kids. It seemed like including him was too much work for them. This place lacked consideration and inclusivity during our visit. They can and should do better. No child should have felt that way. read more

Extremely disappointed with Ninja Republic's day camp. For roughly $150 a day, I expected structured instruction, but they didn't actually teach the students anything. My son also lost a loose tooth during the session, and when I asked to see what happened, I was told their cameras have numerous blind spots. For this price point, I expected much better supervision and value. read more

We booked our son's 6th birthday party at Ninja Republic in San Mateo. I was surprised there was a Ninja facility in the Bay. I've only been to one near Portland, Oregon. Regan was very informative and helpful prior to the party. He ordered the pizzas from Seniore's and we brought the cake (Mazzetti's) and other treats. I recommend cupcakes for easier distribution to guests. Regan and two of his employees were kind and helpful throughout our event. They clearly explained the rules and explained the activities during the event. Our children's group ranged from 5-year-olds to 10-year-olds. All the kids loved it. The activities weren't intimidated and the kids' families were welcomed to support their kids. Some of the adults were compelled to try out the activities, too. At the end of the play time, Regan was very good with organizing a kids group photo. This was followed up with the kids enjoying themselves in the party room. I'd probably recommend different seats for the party room so more kids can fit at the table. Our adults hung out by the lobby to eat and socialize. Overall, my party and I were very impressed by the party package and the entire facility. Parking wasn't a challenge. I just wished I was a little younger and more fit so I could've tried out some of the activities. lol I definitely recommend this place! Thank you!!! read more

I've been sending my boys to Ninja Republic Summer Camps for several summers now and it's always a great decision! First off, owner Regan Fletcher cares deeply about the kids' safety and enjoyment. He consistently hires a great team of summer counselors who are attentive, engaged, responsible and friendly. They plan awesome ninja courses for kids of all ages. Through both planned courses and open play, the kids find their confidence, stretch their limits to new achievements and learn both team building and their individual strength. My 9 year old has been obsessed with American Ninja warrior for a while now, and we have been going to Ninja Republic since December 2023. He said it was his favorite part of Winter Break. Since then, we've been regulars at their Sunday morning open gym, hosted his birthday, and had two weeks of summer camp at Ninja republic. This is not some chain place run by a bunch of high school kids like those trampoline parks. Sure, your kids run a lot and burn off a lot of energy, but that's about where the similarities end. The owner, Regan obviously cares about safety, cleanliness, and encouraging kids to push so they can get better (at an appropriate level). He knows all the regulars. He does have very young staff but they are all super sweet, helpful, and encouraging. We love Ninja Republic :) read more

We were here for a birthday party and it was such a bust. The two employee party helpers were bored, disconnected and thus not engaging at all. Small kids were playing on the side of the gym where the advanced equipment looked unsafe. I can see that the owner cares about his business, but his personality just isn't one for kids. He was sarcastic with a mean sense of humor. One kid said "I don't like cake" and his response was something to the effect of "That's so sad. Too bad for you." Wow, just wow. Such an awesome place for a kid's birthday party! I was having a hard time looking for a venue for my son's 9th bday. Kids his age are a little too grown for local parks and definitely indoor bounce houses. So glad I stumbled on Ninja Republic while yelping for venues. The communication with the staffs and owner was superb. Fast response and very detailed in responding to my questions. Liam and his crew that day was very attentive and helped in every possible way they can. They kept checking on me to make sure I was doing ok (i looked a little overwhelmed haha). The team there was fantastic - they took care of everything from helping us order pizzas (and even told us we were probably ordering too many) to making sure the kids followed the safety rules, to helping us load and unload the car. They were on the younger side, but they had a ton of fun and Joey was incredibly helpful in teaching them how to do the different obstacles. This was the perfect venue for my 10 year old daughter's birthday party. The kids LOVED the challenging obstacles - especially the warped wall.
