I really want to like this gym more, because there are a lot of things they do well. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, the crowd is respectful, and the location and hours are very convenient. However, I can't give more than two stars unless management seriously improves equipment maintenance. Several machines have had "Out of Service" stickers on them for at least six months, with no visible progress on repairs. In some cases there are only one or two of those machines in the entire gym, so when one is broken for months, it becomes very inconvenient for members who rely on that equipment. On top of that, some of the existing equipment is clearly aging (frayed cables, worn components, etc.). What makes this more frustrating is that the gym offers a premium membership tier that includes access to the hydro/water massage bed, but that has also been out of service for a long time. Even more concerning, the water fountain and bathroom have both been out of service multiple times. That's a basic facility issue. Members need access to drinking water and restrooms during workouts. Meanwhile, the gym sells bottled water at the counter, which feels especially frustrating when the fountain isn't working. On a few occasions they even had to bring in a porta-potty outside the gym, which says a lot about the state of the building facility. Again, I genuinely want to rate this gym higher because the staff and community are great. If management commits to properly repairing and maintaining the equipment and facilities, I would absolutely be happy to update this review and increase the rating. read more

This is a no frills gym....and also a no bathroom gym. Every other week the restrooms are out of service, and I can't even wash my hands. It's been like this for months. I don't know what the health and safety code is for bathrooms in gyms, but I'm pretty sure they are violating it. The bathroom situation is just annoying. As far as the actual gym and equipment, they got all the basics for a decent workout. My biggest complaint is that once a machine is broken, they take months to repair them. There are workout benches that have not been fully operational for 6 months. It's ridiculous. At this point, just buy some new ones... but that's not going to happen. This gym is run by cheapos cutting corners, but I guess that's what I get for $40 a month. Also, as some other reviews have stated, the gym is pretty dusty. They should get a cleanup crew to come in every once in a while and give the gym a deep clean...but they are CHEAPOS! read more

I signed up for this gym 2 months ago, I like it because it's close to my house, front desk people are nice. However, I'll be very honest I don't like how there is a lot of dust on all of the machines, but the worst part is people not cleaning their machines, they just leave their printed sweat body on every machine is disgusting. therefore, I think I'm only gonna be here for a year. I'm leaving as soon as I can. I think that people forgot that they can transmit so many diseases by no cleaning after themselves... so it would be nice if management did something about that, cuz it's actually concerning for people's health. read more

They won't cancel your membership when you're done. I ended my membership because I moved out of state. I filled out the form in the gym, and then when I found out I was still being charged, I called someone on the phone...I contacted their billing company. I've done everything they told me to do many times, and they just don't actually have any action that you can take, as far as I can tell, that will actually get them to stop taking money out of your account. It's been more than two years. From what I've read online, for a lot of people, you have to cancel your card or take them to court to actually get them to stop. They're completely shameless. Once they have your account information, they will just keep taking money forever. read more

Came here bcuz of my active and fit benefit and wanted to try this gym out. It was quite small but at least not dingey. Half the place is cardio machines which I think need to be cut into half again to make room for the other machines. There's only like one of each machine really. Not much variety with weights. This place can get the job done but only if you want to wait a while as this place can fill up. Plus side, it's kinda clean especially the bathroom. Parking is ample in the lot. read more

This is a great gym if you are not looking for classes or pool - it is perfect for cardio and weights. Parking is easily available too. The bathrooms are clean and the gym itself is clean and neat. The staff at this gym are extremely polite and friendly. Marcus helped me to sign up for the membership and he was incredibly helpful and got me a great deal! I have noticed Marcus helping senior citizens with the weight machines and he is so nice to them and so kind. I would also like to thank Joaquin and Monica for all their help when I had to put my membership on hold due to an unplanned trip outside the country. I love this gym! read more

Great place! Nice staff.. My personal trainer Amaya makes working out fun! She has a great smile that she throws out at me when I start wimping out.. and gets me motivated again! I also like that she is teaching me the correct techniques to use , so that I don't injure my back. I mean, I am 65 years old. Don't recommend. Busy during the typical hours, amenities are okay. Staff are kind, but I became distressed over the process to cancel membership--I moved. There is a clearly deceptive practice of failing to apply the last month's credit paid upon enrollment when the final month arrives. Apparently, in the case of cancellation, use of the final month's credit will apply to the final month's dues "upon request only." In other words, I was charged for my last month despite having already paid for it when I first enrolled. Now I have to email a "third party." read more

I really like this gym so far - it is great value if you are looking for a basic, no-frills gym where you can do cardio and weights. The membership plans are much more affordable than the surrounding gyms, with a basic starting at $15 a month and premium at $20 a month (premium gives you access to the classes, wifi, and allows you to bring in a guest for free on Fri, Sat, and Sun). They also have a $40 annual fee and a sign up fee (the latter can usually be waived if you ask). In terms of space, the gym is small and pretty much only has one large room filled with treadmills, elliptical, weight machines, and free weights. This was perfect for my minimal needs. There is no pool or sauna, but they do have one hydro massage bed that you can use to get a 10 min massage. There is a small parking lot outside the gym and I haven't had a problem finding parking. read more

Started coming to this gym at the end of 2018. I was somewhat worried about a gym contract having so much fine print, but we sorted out a monthly cost of about $30/month (not including an annual fee of $40 for each of the 2 people on our membership which ends up being another $80 every year for no apparent reason). The gym was reasonably clean but... smelled like a gym. Most of the machines worked most of the time, yet the broken machines seemed to stay broken for extended periods of time. The staff apparently didn't care about people using the machines incorrectly which probably contributed to that problem a bit. I guess it was about as good as I expected from a gym. When COVID-19 hit, we stopped going to the gym for... health reasons. On March 17th, 2020 we received an official-looking email entitled "Temporary Club Closures" including three important lines: - "your Fitness 19 location will be temporarily closed until further notice" - "your membership will be extended for the same period that your club is temporarily closed." - "Notifications of our re-opening will be sent to your email address on file." That email never arrived. There was no further notice. As email appears to be their only "official" method of communication, they're probably still closed. Or perhaps we should have taken the newly started monthly bills as notice? That would have meant they've been open since sometime in June or July... Or perhaps the news stories about the gym getting fined for not following health guidelines was intended to be official notice to their customers that they had reopened? Either way, I fell off the wagon, forgot about the membership, and was just rewarded with another annual fee. Today I called to cancel our membership... and was rewarded yet again as they reminded me of the fine print that said I had to cancel in person or by email. At this point, the best I can do is cross my fingers that they'll respect the "Last Month's Dues" I paid when I signed up. And, hey, since apparently they still haven't reopened, maybe I'll get an additional year of free membership based their wonderfully worded email! But considering the general quality of professionalism I've experienced from them so far, I'm expecting at least one more stupidly overpriced bill from them in the coming months. Honestly, it would have been cheaper - and healthier - to have just purchased a home gym. EDIT: The day I posted this review, the email I sent requesting cancelation resulted in a phone call from someone at this location. I was offered a refund of the most recent $30-ish monthly payment and they canceled my account. Apparently, I never received the email they sent out about re-opening. They didn't tell me when that magical email was sent though... About 3 weeks after posting my original review, the Business Owner posted their reply on Yelp suggesting I call the General Manager. The number they provided is the same generic phone number they always provide. The one that you can't call to cancel your account. I'm leaving the rest of this review as is. read more

Updated review: I've been coming here for almost 12 years (which is kinda hard to believe), but I've noticed the quality of staffing has diminished over time. There seem to be two extremes - very professional and friendly staff, generally early in the morning, and then you have some kids who are either recently graduated from high school or are in college. I can often hear them very loudly talking shit about other patrons at the front through music and my headphones or just out in the middle of the floor near the free weights. It feels very much like high school and it's wildly unprofessional. Also if you ask them questions it feels like a major inconvenience to them. Again, not all of the staff are like this, but there's definitely a clique of them. I think one of them is "Tony" and his girlfriend/coworker. It's unclear who management is but they seem absentee or unaware. Hopefully the staffing changes up soon or they can have a discussion about professionalism in a space where people are actively trying to work on themselves. The pretty flippant shit-talking makes me uncomfortable and makes me wonder what they're saying about me. read more

Decent gym, but unfortunately they operate like an old style mafia gym where they try to confuse you with pricing and then try to not let you out of your contract if you ever want to leave. Good luck getting $19 a month as if you want to pay by credit card it will cost you more and of course there is the sign-up fee which you can get them to waive if you just ask (but they won't volunteer if you don't) and definitely wouldn't trust these guys with your bank account. Multiple times they had billing issues where they sent collections after me even though I have a monthly draft. Called them to work it out and they were like "oh, we don't know why that happened, must've been a new guy". Even more shady when I try to leave as they needed me to either fax or mail in a cancellation - assume hoping that I wouldn't do it and they could build me a few more $19 or $25 or $30 installments. A great deal if you're going to work out a lot, but they're counting on you not showing up after an initial period and definitely shady in their practices. read more
