The Hideaways - I appreciate the covered seating area for the parents. Just wish it faced the playground so you can monitor your kids

I will say, however, that this place is so big that you can very easily lose track of your kids. There were a few times on our last visit where I was scanning the playground for a minute or two trying to find one of my kids after looking after another one for a bit. But don't worry. There really is only one in and out so you don't have to worry about kids wandering off if you are around that bottleneck point. This is a great attraction that I hope the park never gets rid of. It offers kids a space to run around & just goof off and be kids while also blowing off steam. The only point of improvement I can think of if maybe offer some more (shaded) seating for parents. On hot days that would be greatly appreciated.

He remembered it very well from our past visits. It is a second story playground and it is big enough for adults to shadow your littles if needed. On this day it looked as though an employee was monitoring at the top. I'm not sure if it was because it was near closing time or they are there for the safety of the little ones. There is a short wall that you could sit on to watch your kids from afar, This grand playground is great for the kids to burn some energy that's for sure! The kids have fun running place to place it makes me want to join them. If you haven't visit this playground it is a must. P.S. Grab some Apple Fries beforehand from the stand adjacent to the playground. Great snacking as you watch the play.

It's a wonderful place to bring the kids, have a picnic, watch the sunset, or just relax and enjoy the ocean. The park is always well maintained, and there's plenty of space for kids to play while still having that peaceful coastal atmosphere. The playground is a nice bonus for families, and the views from the park are hard to beat. You can easily spend a couple of hours here without even realizing it. Whether you're visiting Solana Beach or live nearby, Fletcher Cove is definitely worth stopping by. Beautiful location, family friendly, and a great example of what makes this part of the San Diego coast so special.

Its just beyond gorgeous and I know in the summer, there are concerts here (so I will come back for that). I didn't get down to the beach tonight (there are stairs down from the park) but I need to do that before summer is over. Restrooms available here too. Lovely park and there is a parking lot connected. I will definitely be back!

I love that they have a splash pad for tiny kids. Seating is a bit tricky. They've got tables under shade, however they are on the other side of the center, out of viewing range of the pool. Most people just put their stuff on the ground and hope to get a spot on the boiling astroturf. There are big bathrooms with lockers and showers and it's a mixed bag on how clean they are. The biggest downside is the staff. The lifeguards are really inconsistent and I've seen people even yell at the lifeguards to do their job when kids aren't following the rules. The office staff are a nightmare. They are so rude and pushy. In the summer, they do an inflatable obstacle course two days a week. The rules for admission are absolutely ridiculous and they only sell 30 wristbands for it for the day. Once they sell out, they just put a sign up on the ticket window and walk away leaving everyone left in line to wonder what's going on. They could use a big staffing upgrade.
