Covid had put a stressful stop on all my activity and I was doing badly when Nazli's classes re-entered my life after a couple years and it's like no time has gone by! Of course the classes are on Zoom now but honestly, that's more convenient for me right now. At home, same great workout! Familiar and challenging choreography and wonderful stretching after. Nazli is very good at explaining which action helps which issue, something I haven't seen teachers doing often. The prices are more than reasonable and I always find myself exhilarated, sweating and grateful after. I have been going to Zumba with Nazli for close to a year now. I love her energy and enthusiasm; Nazli really gives it her all in every class. Zumba itself, is a fun way to get or stay fit. For me, I find cardio exercising on a treadmill/elliptical to be a real bore, and even with access to a gym, I couldn't motivate myself to go on a regular basis. With Zumba, it's the opposite. The classes are energetic, the music is good, and it's quite the workout. An hour at the studio goes by fast! Come on over and give it a try. Drop in is only $10/class. read more

I went to this Zumba class with my daughter at 6:30 tonight because she offered a Free Class for new people. We arrived and told her we were there for the free class. Nazli said No and that was from a long time ago? I SAW HER ADVERTISEMENT and brought a printed copy with me. AS a professional...She could of honored the deal. But no, she decided that $$ was more important @$12.00 drop in price. She was even RUDE in front of the few other people who was already in the room warming up. She didn't even try to offer an discount/nothing for our inconvenience...Now, she lost out on 2 more people to join her class...period! I hope she learns from this. You don't treat people this way! We are her business! I wouldn't of known of a FREE class if SHE didn't offer one! This should of been a fun experience but instead...we were disappointed and embarrassed by her lack of Professionalism and poor, poor, poor Customer Service! read more

I attend Nazli's Zumba class fairly regularly. She has an amazing spirit and her class is about enjoying yourself while staying fit. I am extremely self conscious and do not like to go to the gym. Every time I've tried before, it has ended up becoming boring and monotonous. Nazli brings fun into something that can become a mundane task. The vibe in the class is great, as everyone's smiling and genuinely having a good time. She mixes up dance forms and music, so there's always something new to experience in the class. She's always got her eyes on you, making sure you're not doing something the wrong way and harming yourself instead. I also think she charges very economically for the class. However, if you'd like to attend, I strongly recommend joining her Meetup group and RSVPing in a timely manner. That helps her keep track of the number of attendees and adjust the routine accordingly, in turn, helping you have a good workout. Classes start on time and end on time, so if you need to talk to her, you need to be there early or wait after. The studio is usually busy and we need to vacate it in time, so the next group can come in. To conclude, a great experience so far! read more

I've been attending Zumba with Nazli for three months already and it's AMAZING!!! Nazli is a great dancer and she is always so positive and energetic. She has a great variety of dance routines and she constantly adds new ones. What I like is she does international Zumba with dances from Russia, Ireland, Turkey and etc, a lot of Latin American routines. I added Zumba classes as additional fitness routine to my bootcamp classes. Those are hard and I want to cry and die right there. With Zumba classes it's still hard, but you sing and dance with Nazli and smile on your face never goes off. And you get this big energy boost from dancing for the whole day. It's a fun way to stay fit. The class is not very big, max 20 people. That's good, because Nazli can pay attention to every person in the room. She always explains how to do new routine to prevent any injuries. One more bonus for people, who like to track everything: my fuelband says that I burn around 500-700 calories per session, and sometimes you can get up to 1000 calories. It depends on the intensity, and you can choose with what intensity you want to dance today, it's all up to you. About pricing policy: I was very sad to see 1-star reviews, because it's all just big misunderstanding. Nazli offers the most affordable classes in Mountain View. And she tried to keep prices low as long as possible. But in the mid June she had to give up free classes and raise prices. She announced it via e-mails, meetup group, comments on Yelp and etc . Thanks to Nazli, it's only $2 more for drop-in and $1 for packages. But yes, no more free classes. Still, for $12/class - it's a steal! read more

I have been attending Nazli's Zumba classes for about 7 months. Nazli is an amazing Zumba instructor. She is full of passion, energy and enthusiasm, and she never fails to encourage us to have fun, shake our booties and sing. Nazli always informs us of the correct body positions to take so that we do not injure or strain ourselves, and she takes the time to explain these during each session. I've been to Nazli's Zumba class twice. While she has great energy and plays music from around the world, there are some drawbacks that I've noticed: * She does not start the class on time. The first time I went she had trouble with the speakers and said she would buy her own. The second time she arrived on premises after the time the class was supposed to begin. Over the next 15 minutes, she took down people's names and money, made change, etc, so the class started late. With folks' busy schedules, I think any kind of administrative stuff needs to be done early so that the class can start on time. * The studio is too small for the number of people who show up. This causes numerous interruptions during the class where Nazli has to go around reminding people to make room, that they are getting too close to the wall, etc. The class would be better served if she were in a larger studio and we spent time actually dancing instead of being told to shuffle around constantly. * "Walk in" does not actually mean "walk in". Today when I showed up, apparently the class was at capacity and I was to have RSVP'd on her Meetup site, which I was not aware of. She let me stay this time since I didn't know about Meetup. Ok, seems more complicated than it should be for busy people who want to squeeze in a quick workout. Overall, I would say give this class a chance, go check it out. While I think some improvements can be made, maybe it's more for you than it is for me. Personally I like to have room in a dance class so I can make big movements and burn more calories. While the dances she does are fun, I am not convinced I've found my ideal Zumba class yet. I'm going to look at local gyms as well, maybe they can accommodate better. EDIT: I had originally given her a very fair and honest '3' stars, but after she posted her ridiculous response to me, I felt compelled to bring it down to '2'. read more

If you're like me, time seems to pass in slow-motion when you're on a treadmill or stationary bike at the gym. In Nazli's class, not only does the time totally fly but I leave there drenched AND smiling! Here are some of the things that make Nazli an awesome instructor: - Her energy is infectious and she welcomes all (regardless of dance experience, age or gender) - She advertises her classes as 60 minutes, but she actually spends 5-15 minutes extra (depending on the day) for a guided cool down and stretch session. - She takes great care in ensuring that all participants are dancing and stretching safely. Based on her cuing and precautions, I can tell that she has a thorough understanding of the body and safety is just as important as having fun. - Nazli has a great mix of familiar components to her class and novel routines. She has several regular songs / routines that are great for all participants to build confidence and work towards mastery but she also introduces new routines every week or so to keep your brain and body learning. - She really appreciates her regulars and makes a point to encourage them during the class. She even brings them free Zumba swag for their loyalty! Yesterday, she gave me a great Zumba bandanna for buying a class package. Unexpected and sweet! - Her playlists include Latin, Afro-Cuban, lots of Brazilian and some Hip Hop music. We usually cool down to "Oldies" and are ALWAYS encouraged to sing along. - If you're an introvert or have two left feet, there's no problem with dancing towards the back. Nazli makes a point to never emphasize correctness or style -- only fun and safety. Even if you can't keep a beat, rest assured -- there are others just like you there, so give it a try! - Nazli has really great pricing (especially compared to the $20 yoga classes I'm used to taking) and often runs great promotions on Yelp or Living Social. If you're dropping in or buying a package from her, be sure to bring cash. She'll provide you a receipt for your records with the expiration date. - I'm a yoga teacher and sometimes she asks me to lead the group in a few poses at the very end of class. She is humble, inclusive and I think, above all, wants to provide an unforgettable dance fitness experience for her students. A few notes on the location: - For the Love of Dance is a no-frills dance studio with ample parking and very close to the 101 making it really convenient. - The mix of participants is always fun. It's a very international crowd and I really enjoy seeing the different styles everyone brings to the class. The women (mostly) are very friendly and supportive. - The maximum capacity for Nazli's classes is 20 students, so be sure to arrive on time. - Also be sure to bring your own water bottle as the studio does not have a water fountain. - I don't mind wiping my sweat on my shirt, but you may want to bring a towel. I attended her first class, which was free, and liked it so much that I bought 10 classes right away. The location is good, much better than Rengstorff park where I used to take zumba from. The room has big mirrors and AC. Nazli pays attention to each individual and breaks down the move so you don't get lost. She also mixes up the music/moves so you don't get bored with the same moves/music week after week. Sometimes Nazli brings belly dancing belts to class for us to wear which is very fun. read more

I'm attending Nazli's zumba for half a year already and I love these classes very much! My previous review was written after the first try, and though I didn't change my mind about the class, I decided to update the review with some details after 6 months of experience. I got really addicted to doing zumba in the mornings because it brings lots of energy and keeps me in a good mood throughout the day. For me it is the best type of cardio workout as I'm not fond of running /jogging. I have also noticed (and was a bit surprised about this fact) that it is a good way to strengthen my muscles as well as my cardiac system. Some dances include squats or lunges and, of course, there's a lot of booty shaking in Zumba!. It is not only fun but turns out to be a good exercise for my glutes too :) Sometimes we're using zumba toning sticks in class. These sticks are filled with sand and it allows you to shake and rattle them, having fun, as well as providing a good workout for the arm muscles. So, in my opinion, Zumba amazingly combines fun and exercise, and this combination works perfectly for me. Speaking about dances, Nazli has a good variety of them and regularly adds new songs, so we're not doing the same dances every class. Often she includes some national type of dancing (modified into zumba style) e.g. belly dancing or Irish songs. And I love it! Needless to say, Nazli is a super-positive and very welcoming person, she is attentive to everybody in a class and makes sure everybody is comfortable. Very professional and passionate instructor, you can definitely see she loves what's she doing. I was surprised to see negative reviews here, especially from the people who haven't really took any class. I have no doubt about Nazli's honesty and customer focus. I invited 3 of my friends to try the first class. They all got it free (it was in May 2014), and also she gave me free classes for each person I brought, although only one of them continued attending it on a regular basis. Changes in pricing happened in the middle of June 2014 (now drop-in is $12), she also canceled free first classes at that time and informed all of us about that. By the way, I thought that only morning classes used to be free, not at 6.30 pm, and it was mentioned in the advertisement. It's a pity, that because of misunderstanding and the web service problems (not updated info on meetup), a person who never ever even talked to Nazli decided not to come and also to post her negative review here. Nazli's Zumba class is wonderful in many ways. When I first started, I was slightly intimidated, not knowing what to expect. Nazli welcomed me with open arms and I felt at home right away. Any skill level is welcome and the class is structured so that you can choose the intensity level. You are always encouraged to do more, made to feel great doing what you can. I like that Nazli explains what muscles we are working on; what is the goal. Taking care of yourself is always a priority. We're told how to do the movements appropriately & safely, There's a great camaraderie in the class, too. You feel great afterwards and it's so good for you. And, it's fun, great music! The best place for dance fitness aka Zumba. What makes this special is the Zumba instructor Nazli herself! Nazli is extremely talented and a great teacher. She makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable in every class. She lets everyone workout at their own pace. I also like the way she lines up her songs in a class so that fast and slow songs are interleaved. She makes sure that everyone cools down before leaving the class. Her attention to detail is one the key points in making Zumba so effective for all her students. I have done Zumba in other places before but this one is simply the best. I highly recommend this Zumba class! Not only does it make exercising fun, but the instructor Nazli is awesome! I am not a person who loves working out and I get bored exercising on my own. I was looking for a fun exercise class to get and KEEP me motivated. About 6 weeks ago I came across Zumba with Nazli on Meet-Up. I had tried Zumba classes at 24-hour, but stopped going after a few classes. Already feeling intimidated to try Zumba, on top of being in an overcrowded room was far from enjoyable. Not only was I unable to attempt the unfamiliar moves, but I was constantly having to try to not bump into other people. That is why I was so happy to find this class! Nazli made me feel comfortable from the very beginning and I was hooked after my first free class! Not to mention there is great group of regulars who attend the classes of all different levels of experience! The routines are great- they alter between fast and slow and give you a great full body workout! I like how Nazli shows the different levels of intensity for specific moves and explains the targeted muscles. She also makes sure everyone is doing the move correctly so no one gets hurt. Having a bad back, this is something I really appreciate (I never once saw an instructor at 24-hour do this!). I also enjoy her music choices and the mix of dances she incorporates int the routines. She mixes it up just enough so you don't get bored, but are still able to learn the routines. After the 20 classes, she is still going, here is what she has to say about it: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've been trying to find an exciting workout for sometime. I tried running and it bored me, also my knees weren't happy. Did dvds for awhile, but once I learned the routine I also got bored with them. Then I got a Groupon from my fiance for Zumba and I LOVE IT! Nazli is an amazing instructor, and is very energetic and supportive. The class is an hour long but it flies by so fast since it's so much fun. I sweat A LOT and feel great afterwards. She also gives options for those with knee problems. I had tried Zumba with other instructors before, and even though I liked the idea that I was constantly moving for an hour, the routines were either too easy or too fast and I couldn't enjoy it as much. With Nazli's routines, they are simple but effective, and even if you don't get them, as long as you are moving you are fine! Even when I mess up, I feel completely comfortable in class. After the 20 classes from the Groupon, I've continued to go paying full price because it's worth it. I've been doing Zumba with Nazli for almost 2 years now. She is a fabulous instructor with a lot of zeal and passion for Zumba. You don't have to be a dancer to take up this class, just drop in and let all your stress out while having some fun. Her songs, like her class is very diverse..she has choreographed a lot of songs from all over the world. How often do you come across an instructor who gives you personal attention? If you have ever taken Zumba classes at the Y or 24 hour fitness, you will know what I mean. She knows every person by name and personally comes and corrects you if you are doing something wrong. I would recommend Nazli's zumba class to anyone. Every single one of her students leaves the class in a good mood and with a fun and upbeat workout. Nazli is very encouraging, plays great music, and is very easy to follow. Very helpful for someone who hasn't moved their hips before this May :) i.e. like me A few things - The classes are really popular (unsurprising, since they're awesome) so you have to signup on meetup.com to guarantee a spot. She does ask you to be vigilant about attending if you RSVP though, since no one wants to be turned away. - Nazli only takes cash, so bring your $12 along. (There's an ATM in the 7/11 around the corner.) If you need it, she has change though. - Bring water (you're exercising!) and shoes you can work out in! Most people wear tights and old t-shirts. I love the music she plays (today we had salsa, pop, latin, Iranian pop, and warmed down to Bruno Mars then Vivaldi!) and she's really good about stretching at the end. I've never had a fitness instructor make stretching fun but the music and atmosphere are great. I think $12 for an exercise class is a great deal! Totally worth it for the fun and fitness IMO. Group classes in my town cost $20+/class so I think Nazli has a great setup. Anyone who says the class can get crowed forgets that if there were half the number of people, it'd be twice as expensive. I think the cost-to-space ratio is totally reasonable (esp. for MTV, where my bedroom is a shoebox in a shoebox apartment!). I find this class really accessible and fun. It's the highlight of my week :) Everyone who goes is really friendly, too! I've being going twice a week for 3 weeks now and if Nazli had an evening class 5 days a week, I would go 5 times a week! Nazli is absolutely great. She infuses a lot of energy in her classes. I like going for her Zumba classes as it is full body exercise to music . She spends enough time after the class on stretches. I've been to about 20 classes and I haven't had a single bad one yet. Her selection of music is excellent. The class starts with a warm up song or two and then goes on to more energetic ones. Towards the end there is a cool down song. What I really like about this class is the various dance forms you can learn.
