The actual noodles which is the bulk of the dish is €.75 for the amount you get. When it is full of fresh seafood it is worth the €9.50 but when it is not you feel like they are taking advantage of you. This is the same as with pineapple chicken rice dish. I get the feeling that you have to spend over €20 on your individual meal to get the great meal. I did that once. It was fantastic. Notable tacos include the Korean taco (with real kimchi!), the chicken Masala taco and of course the old favorite, the cochinita pibil. In addition to these already satisfying recipes, a range of accompanying sauces are available to mix and match with your order. Notable entries include the habañero mango salsa, the "Inca Blood" Peruvian salsa, and the "Juche" Korean salsa. The names are funny, but these sauces are serious in their distinctive flavors and compliment the menu options well. The team is a pair of Spanish guys and an Argentine, all three of whom are super-kind and endearingly funny. The stand is perfectly bilingual as they have traveled a lot and along the way have perfected their taco recipes. The prices are a little steep, at 2-3 Euros per taco. I would think though that it is some sort of insidious form of racism, where tolerance for anything not European forces adaptation on the part of those who have something different to offer. That said, I felt sorry for the lack of people in this place. The 10 euro all you can eat lunch special should have been packing in the punters on what was a typically warm, late summer Madrid afternoon. With a good range of food on offer, including Chinese stir fry favourites, sashimi and ice cream, I would almost kill to have something this cheap and this diverse back home in Sydney. The service was friendly and welcoming and the beer, as it should be, extremely cold. As we left this place, I contemplated how European cities must quickly adapt to what will be Asian dominated centuries ahead. For one, they will have to get better, that is, much better at doing Asian food. On that point, despite the horrific prices, many lessons can be learnt from Sydney and Melbourne. I ordered the Mussaman curry with chicken, and was delighted to find that the curry was also full of fresh veggies: eggplant, BRUSSEL SPROUTS, zucchini, carrots, bell peppers, etc. Rice does not automatically come with the curry, so be sure to order a side of the jasmine rice to go with your meal! The curry is enough for 2 meals, and the leftovers the next day were just as good. My friends also got another curry and the chicken satay and were very impressed.
