I have been going to Nitu's since I moved nearby in 2018 and have had a good experience overall. I went to get my eyebrows threaded and full face wax this past Monday and my face has never reacted in a way like it did this time around. What I can't wrap my head around is why the girl waxing my face proceeded to wax the other side as she saw the skin on the first side was starting to peel off. I ended up with patches of burns (1st-2nd degree) all across my face and cheeks. I tried to contact the business manager who is apparently out of town. What business doesn't have an assistant manager covering them? They had the nerve to charge me after ripping both sides of my face off (the left side was done last and the worst). All week at work, I am now forced to wear a mask to hide the horrific burns to not scare my patients. Applying antibiotic lotions, oils and now to worry about scarring. I was looking forward to travelling out of state this weekend and now I'm waiting for a reusable mask from Amazon to cover these horrendous burns on my trip. I will never recommend this salon or go there again as customer service is not a priority for them. read more

When I got to nitus, I literally sat in my car for about 10 minutes contemplating whether or not I should go in. I had grown my eyebrows out for one full year prior to this because of previously messed up threading jobs. I decided that I would just go for it & let me tell you I am so happy that I found this place. Sonita did my eyebrows within 5 minutes and she did an amazing job. Majority of threading salons have unqualified employees butchering the heck out of your brows to make quick money and get you as fast as possible out of the chair. I've been working 10 minutes away from Nitu's for a few months now and came across it during my lunch. I decided to take a chance since they had great reviews and haven't done my brows in a few weeks. The lady there was so kind and took her time on my brows. I have been getting my eyebrow's threaded by Nitu for the past 3 years and I couldn't be happier with the results! I went from having very thin, uneven eyebrows to full and even brows. I used to go to Nitu when she had a salon in her home but now I love going to her shop on Ames. While I feel that for walk ins I don't see Nitu in the shop as often as she was when it first opened, if I call to make an appointment with her, I'm always able to schedule something for that week with her. The other ladies in the shop are always friendly but I only have Nitu do my threading so can't speak on their work! read more

I love Nitu to pieces - a great lady who cares deeply and has built one heckuva business. That being said, the last 2 times I was there (new ladies I saw working there) barely left me any eyebrows!! OMG 1st time I said "trying to grow them in" and barely came out with a pencil line for brows 2nd time I said "just clean them up but keep the line" again came out with a pencil line for brows. I was in tears on the way home and wouldn't take my eyeglasses off for over a month. I haven't gotten my brows done in 3 months and they're just *starting* to look acceptable again. I found Nitu's on Yelp. I had to relocate a few years ago and was looking for an eyebrow place closer to home. I love the location which is Rutherford. Cute town. Parking is tuff sometimes. I'm a Chase costumer so I park my car in the lot (shhh). The location is tiny and clean. The staff is super friendly. For the first few years Nitu herself would do my eyebrows. Now, I barely catch her unless I book an appointment. Unfortunately, booking an appointment usually doesn't work for my life style. I'm always on the run and usually do not have time. So when I can I make a quick stop at the salon hoping she is there. Anyways, she has other technicians doing eyebrows and they can't seem to get it right. I'm not sure there names. There is one that looks like she is no more than 25 yrs old. The other, a petite older woman. They can't get it right. Every time I walked out my eyebrows were either uneven, crooked or they took way too much hair. There response is always "the hair here is not growing" or "you have hair missing in this spot". This happened every two weeks for two months. I am officially no longer a customer. It's a real shame too. Loved the location and friendly atmosphere. I simply could not take another crooked eyebrow. So my 3 stars is an average of Nitu, her staff and the location. read more

I'd been nervous about getting them threaded because I always heard that it was painful, but it hardly hurt at all at this place.
