I've been here a few times and I like this place -- service is quick, the salon is clean, and they shape my brows pretty nicely. However, I started to notice something: the process feels fairly painless compared to when I get it done in other salons. Now I'm not saying I enjoy pain, but I think the reason why it feels painless is because they don't pull the hair from the root; they just cut it short, like at the surface of your skin. I haven't paid enough attention to my eyebrows to notice if the trimmed hairs reappear sooner than when I used to go to my previous salon, but I would expect them to and I'm not sure if it's a ploy to get people to come back more often. I go pretty irregularly -- my eyebrows are a mess by the time I get them threaded again -- so it's not like I'm going more frequently than usual and I think I'll continue going to this salon, but I thought it was an observation worth mentioning for people who get their brows threaded more often. read more

When Nitu was doing the threading all was great - things were relatively ok with the 1st 2 ladies she hired... My brows went from looking fantastic to barely having eyebrows after that. When she hired the young girls I had relatively ok brows - I told them to "keep the line" just clean them up. Well when I left I barely had eyebrows! I was in tears (and I was one of the original customers when she first opened). I kept my eyeglasses on all the time after that and never went back. It's 1.5 yrs since I last went back and they're still growing in. If you go you want *only* Nitu. read more

Good threading but horrific and painful lash tint experience. I got a Groupon for a lash tint and they nearly ruined my vision in my right eye. These people have no idea what they're doing and they are most certainly not certified to do this process. They literally pour a bunch of contact lens solution into your eye when they see the redness their chemicals cause. I will never go back or spend my money here. read more

This place is amazing ! They do everything here from threading to waxing to facials to eye lashes and my favorite a scalp oil massage . I was loosing my hair a lot it was shedding so much and thinning I was so depressed . I tried every vitamin , shampoo , product you can think of and nothing worked . I even got blood work done and everything was fine . I was so helpless until I started getting scalp oil massages once a week with all products from India and let me tell you after 4 months my hair is very thick and not shedding as much!!! read more

I had high expectations after reading the reviews about the salon. My usual brow lady isn't in town so I went here hoping I found my back up threading spot. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I requested to get my full face threaded and NOT my eyebrows out of fear that it will ruin the shape i currently have. The lady was not very pleasant and was VERY rough on my face. I left there with little blood spots and 2 days later I have small scabs around my face. I thread frequently and this has NEVER happened to me. What really turned me off from this location is that although I specified not the thread my eyebrows, the lady STILL tried to thread them while on the phone. I had to cover my eyebrow and stop her before she wreaked more havoc on my face. I also did specify to thread lightly on certain area because of small break outs but I guess that meant to not thread the area at all. I'm giving this salon 2 stars for cleanliness but if it wasn't for that it would be one star. Now I have to go on vacation with small scabs across my face. Not pleased at all. read more

This is the original and best Nitu's Threading Salon in Rutherford, NJ. Nitu (the owner) herself is often there. She is excellent at her craft: her threading is really gentle (as absolutely gentle as threading can be of course) and careful and thorough. She also does eyelash coloring and facials. Nitu's place is warm and friendly - with excellent customer service (a rarity with threading places). I am more senstive to pain from threading than average, and Nitu is the only salon I will now go to. It is excellent. Nitu has high standards and the salon is immaculately clean. Sounds a little like I'm biased, or perhaps writing this at her request? Nope. I'm just a fan (and I would know as I've tried threading places out from Montclair in the west to NYC in the east). I'm writing this review b/c there is another place in East Rutherford trying to steal her business and customers out from under her by spreading rumors that Nitu is out of business. No way! I like the people, I like the service but the place is quite overpriced and also there is a price discrepancy. The pamphlet says $20 for waxing half legs and the lady says no its $22. Why would I pay $22 to get half my legs waxed when I can get full leg waxing + free bikini lines for $30 and that too in New York City?! I think she needs to adjust pricing according to the competition in the vicinity. Henna Beauty salon in Hackensack does the same for $18. read more

I have heard of Nitu's for quite some time now and have been recommended to go there by several friends. Although I was skeptical at first, I decided to try something new and I instantly fell in Love !! Definitely a place I would recommend to all my friends. Very affordable , and the ladies working there are very friendly. I have gone to Rupi's in Lyndhurst and I wasn't getting the results I was looking for, however, Nitu's repaired my eyebrows back to their original state. wow. i came from clifton to get my eyebrows done by Nitu and must i say WOWOOW. i came in about 7:20 (she was getting ready to close up) and she was soooo nice and sweet and honestly took her time and i appreciate her for doing that. after having Rupi Eyebrows in clifton totally removing too much hair from a certain eyebrow, Nitu really helped shape them to where that look similar and gave me advice for growing them out (castor oil) she is honestly such a sweet and patient person, you guy wilL NOT regret going to her.!!!! read more
