Wow, closest motorcycle repair shop to my house.... You would think you could call them and ask if you could bring a Harley Davidson to fix a flat tire. NOPE, bad English/communication, they just tell you to go to Harley Davidson (completely useless) if I could go to Harley Davidson, I would.... Very bad customer service by the owner. He won't go the "extra mile" to retain a customer. Always on the defensive and with excuses galore. Besides addressing the customer by calling them "papito" is very disrespectful to say the least. If I could rate this place with zero stars I would. Another Bad Review for NIV Motorcycles Be Aware!! 1. Worst customer service!! 2. Not honest to customers 3. Expensive!! 4. They think customers are stupid... They Charged me $70 for an estimate only. They said they dont have the part (disc) at the moment so I have to order it on my side. When I received it I went back there to do the work done and they dont want to include what I payed for the estimate (same estimate, same parts) in the total amount. I just called this shop to ask for the pricing of changing the tire of my scooter. Asked for the time and price. Karina Evans attended my call. She said the work would take 45 minutes and that the company would not give pricing over the phone as per company's rules. I explained to her that I needed to know the price since I had already a flat tire and would have to ride it all the way there so I needed to have the price in advance. Her tone changed and she accused me of being a very aggressive person and mentioned she had other customers in front of her and that my question was out of tone. They seem like nice folks there, but the guy that fixes the scooters doesn't know what he is doing. I've taken my 150Cc scooter countless of times there. My scooter kept breaking down, literally I spent about $1000.00 in repairs IN A YEAR!!! Once I took it 4 times in a month! I got fed up with the place. I took my scooter somewhere else because I needed to check what was the real issue: The Scooter or The Mechanic. The NEW mechanic said that my scooter had very poor work done. Also the new mechanic fixed a problem that I told the old mechanic twice about. With the years, after seeing so many bad reviews with the place you would think that the owners would've hired new people for repairs, they obviously don't care. read more

Immediately after the service my scooter on tires and oil change a ,becasue the so called mechanic did not put back correctly the muffler ,it causes for the muffler to fall on the road 45 minutes after I got the scooter back and while I was driving causing the pipe to break and almost cause an accident . I called them in order to make complaint and I was told to get a lawyer and sue them without taking any responsibility. They have also tried to make me an unnecessary repair for over $1000 . These people are not only incompetent on the highest level, they are also a scammers. Just check the other reviews and do yourself a favor not to any business with this company read more

I went to service my scooter here for an oil change to change a tire and the most recent repair was to replace a magneto. About a week after the magneto was the scooter would only start by the kick start. I called to ask if they could take a look at it and the lady said yes bring it right now so I leave work quickly but when I arrive there I'm greeted by the lady and a mechanic and now they are very defensive and wont even look at the scooter without charging me. THEY DONT GUARANTEE PARTS infact when i went to pick up my scooter after the magneto was replaced the bald owner got defensive when i asked for the old magneto. ALWAYS ASK FOR YOUR PARTS BACK. THE lady that answers the phone is very rude and Im never going back there again. read more

This is the worse place I have ever been. The service is so poor and duty. They take your signature and do the service with out your permission, this happened to me. You better don't bring your motorcycle to do them in three months I was there times. Another thing they never give you a discount even if you go there much and the warranty is only 30 days. I wish I could leave less stars. Worst customer service experience that I've had, terrible customer service! the woman who answers the phone and who is the co-owner is the rudest, meanest and least professional person I've ever dealt with. She has a terrible attitude and because she is the owner she thinks that she can't treat people badly. I just called for a price for two parts that a need for my scooter and she told me in a very rude and bad attitude that I had to go personally to the store and she just hung up the phone. I was a customer for years in this place and for the poor attention and lack of education I'm not going to come back ever again. It's a shame because Nivaldo and his team are extremely knowledgeable and professional. These people are great! I have a cheapy Retro Tao Tao. That being said I don't expect my scooter to run like a Vespa. It's unrealistic. So for this reason I take Meticulous care of my scooter with very frequent oil changes and the like. I have been here twice with unrelated problems. One was the Carborater and another thing was electrical. Both problems have been fixed and I haven't had another problem in a while. Just oil changes and such. Very good service!!!! read more

Haha. I just have to laugh at these guys. I brought my scooter there for a repair estimate and the "mechanic" couldn't even get the key to turn the ignition. I had to drive back to the shop and turn it for him, there was no trick, put the key in the ignition and turn. No idea how you can be a mechanic and not be able to turn the key. After a day they call me and tell me I need a few parts (new carb, and stator). No problem I'm thinking, at their $35 hour labor rate i should be able to get out of there for 2 hours labor + parts. Was I wrong, they quoted me 5 hours labor @ $65 a hour. 5 hours of labor! I'm pretty sure my 2 year old niece could install a carb in 5 hours. These guys are supposed to be professionals. Mind you they have a sign posted saying Chinese scooter labor is $35 per hour. I told these people I did not want to repair the scooter, I will do it myself for that price. The owner/manager whoever she is got really pissy when I questioned her math. I was willing to pay her 2 hours of labor for the diagnosis via the Yelp Deal and she was having none of it. She told me to pay cash, get out, and never come back. They do not honor the Yelp Deal so don't bother buying it. read more

Agradecida como siempre a Niv Motorcycles.... Es la 2da moto que les compro, y la 4ta que voy a llevar el dia que tenga que hacer uns reparacion...... Hace unos 10 años que los visito, mi hija tambien les ha comprado una Italica 150 y 2 de mis compañeros de trabajo..... Nunca he tenido que volver despues de un arreglo, A la nueva acabo de hacerle el chequeo de las 100 millas, la atencion es super amable, los mecanicos excelentes, son personas muy ejecutivas, de hecho hice la compra y en menos de una hora sali del local con la moto lista y la chapa provisoria puesta, y cuando volvi para hacer el primer chequeo (gratuito) ya estaba lista la mia y ellos mismos la colocaron.... Terrible customer service. We came to this place to buy a bulb and check the prices for a new scooter, but as soon as we walked in we said good morning and they did not said it back. Then I asked how they were and the answer was "good thanks" and did not ask back. The lady cleaning the floor even said the floor was wet so we could not walk by the scooters and finally we asked for a screwdriver borrowed to quickly change the bulb and got a no for an answer. This is how they lost a customer that came for a bulb and another scooter and got only the bulb. My boyfriend even commented after we left that he felt like we had done doe thing wrong to them. read more

Absolutely horrible. Incredibly scammy. These people have scammed me out of around $700...which is literally about what I paid for my actual scooter. For repairs, I've been quoted at one price then charged another (if you read more reviews you'll see many people making that same complaint). Owners get defensive when confronted about errors. Also, they do not even speak English. The head mechanic literally speaks no english and the wife at the front desk speaks poor English. Very shoddy work has been done to my scooter as well... just like all these other people are saying. These people have a third world way of running their business and it has been a very uncomfortable experience from start to finish. They are very rude (especially the owners wife who works there). There are several others scooter places nearby, so I would 100% recommend avoiding this sad excuse for a business at all costs. read more
