Wild Blue is one of my absolutely favorite places to snag a warm cup of joe and chat with some friends.

**Update** Returned…read morefor a second visit and was just as impressed. I ordered the shrimp scampi this time. It features tender, butter-poached jumbo shrimp with a subtle kick from the Calabrian chili, balanced by artichoke and a bright Chablis spritz, all served with toasted focaccia. While it's meant for sharing, I had it as my entrée and it was satisfying and packed with flavor. I paired it with the prickly pear margarita with tequila, which was as beautiful as it was delicious. It's a vibrant pink, lightly sweet, slightly tart, and incredibly refreshing drink. Definitely a standout cocktail! My server was friendly and attentive throughout, which made the experience even better. Another fantastic visit all around. ----- Stopped by Postino Highland Park solo one evening and really enjoyed the experience. Parking was easy, and the atmosphere was ideal for an evening out with its dim lighting, candlelit tables, and a cozy, relaxed vibe. Service was fast and friendly, even dining alone, which I appreciated. I ordered the smoked salmon board and a glass of Prosecco. The board included both cold and hot smoked salmon, whipped feta, cucumber, pickled onions, cornichons, crispy capers, a baby Caesar salad, and crostini. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The baby Caesar was beautifully balanced, and the whipped feta was excellent. While the hot smoked salmon wasn't quite my preference (I would've personally enjoyed the board more with just the cold smoked salmon), that's more of a personal taste than a flaw in execution. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual solo dinner or a low-key night out. I'd come back, especially when I'm in the mood for cozy vibes and a relaxed evening. Still a solid choice for good food, good vibes, and a drink after a long day.

I'm usually a regular at the CAVA in Highlands Ranch, so this experience was pretty disappointing…read more Went in with a friend for lunch and ordered our usual, two bowls and two pita chips. When it was time to pay, I tried to use a CAVA gift card I had loaded in the app with around $60 on it. The app was confusing, so I asked the cashier for help and she called the manager. The manager, Destiny, came over and said she didn't know how the app worked, even though she said people ask her about it all the time. Instead of trying to help, asking another team member, or even attempting to figure it out, she immediately told me to contact CAVA customer support. This was during a lunch rush while I was standing at the register trying to pay. It felt dismissive, like it just wasn't her problem. We stepped aside to figure it out, but the service in this location is really spotty, which made loading the app even harder. That seems like a big issue for a place that pushes app ordering and payment. To keep things moving, I placed an online order and showed the receipt so they wouldn't have to remake the food. Even then, there was hesitation and an attitude that made it feel like I did something wrong, even though I was just trying to pay. The whole interaction felt passive and unwelcoming. We didn't feel like important customers at all. Really disappointing experience from a place I usually enjoy.

We made a reservation and were seated promptly at a large outdoor table offering both sunny and shaded spots. The setting is lovely, a nicely restored historic building with a Victorian vibe in downtown Littleton. We ordered: * Roasted Brussels Sprouts ($10) - sopressata, shaved parmesan, oregano-infused white balsamic * Chicken Salad Sandwich ($17) - toasted whole wheat, grilled chicken, dried cranberries, tomato, apple, walnut * Short Rib Grilled Cheese ($20) - beef short rib, white cheddar, tomato, horseradish sauce, arugula, caramelized onion, sourdough * (2) Black Forbidden Rice Salmon Bowls ($25) - cabbage slaw, cilantro, avocado, pickled red onion, cilantro vinaigrette Plus three cocktails: two Bees Knees and one Manhattan. Service was excellent and the food was very well executed. The shared Brussels sprouts were a hit. The salmon bowls were flavorful and nicely prepared, as was the chicken salad sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy, and tasty. However, the standout was the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Absolutely fantastic, and definitely what I'll be ordering next time. Tip: Restaurant parking is available in back of the restaurant.

I ordered the lamb and my wife had the short rib. Both were cooked well, served hot, but the risotto and the lamb were a total salt lick. Sadly we passed on dessert, but I would not return for dinner. Maybe brunch is better - but it will take a significant level of convincing to return.
