Nothing changes your day like a gianormous tree crashing down and crushing your fence and half your yard. The windy day it happened Jonathan was out, surveyed the damage and said he'd return promptly the next morning. He did and with his pleasant young worker they had the tree cut, hauled off, the yard cleaned and our fence temporarily dog secured all within 4 hours. We needed to replace our irrigation system around our house and NM's Best responded, they came in and gave us a reasonable quote and everything they said, they completed. they got in got the work done in a reasonable amount of time there was another problem that occurred that they weren't associated with, but they came in and did the digging so that when TLC did come in all they had to do was join their new line to our existing line and that really helped out TLC to make a quick fix on their end. read more

Jonathan is a good communicator and very respectful. I hired him to aerate, dethatch and overseed my lawn. I will give him an A on the aerating, but a D on dethatching as he did not bring a power rake. Instead, he and his assistant raked my lawn with ordinary aluminum rakes. Later, I used my own steel rake, and was able to accumulate more thatch than he and assistant did. As for overseeding, I would give him an F, as in failure. Very little new grass showed up except where I had a couple bare ground spots. I called to complain, and he came back to look, agreed that more seeding was needed, but he never called back to schedule an appointment. read more

Jonathan and his assistant did an adequate job of removing a big area (25x25) of large flowers in our front yard, removing a dead tree/roots, and clearing out a section of weeds. They left some large roots and stems in the front yard, but overall they did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. My biggest complaint is that they forgot a branch trimmer in the back yard. I've called four times leaving voice messages and have not had a single acknowledgement from Jonathan. I guess we'll keep the trimmer since he doesn't seem to need it. read more

IF I COULD RATE THIS COMPANY LOWER I WOULD!!!!!!! I hired the landscaping company called NM's best & landscapes, who I believe the owner's name is Johnathon. The reason I'm posting this message on Nextdoor is, I don't want another potential client to be ripped off by this company. Below is a list of items that were on the signed contract that were not complete. Blow and take out dirt and debris from gravel and river rock in front yard. "THIS WAS NOT DONE." Trimming and cleanup of trees and shrubs in the front yard, pull weeds and spray weed pre-emergent. "YOU HAVE ONE LARGE SHRUB TO COMPLETE". He broke two of my solar yard ornaments. "YOU SAID YOU WOULD ORDER THEM OFF E-BAY OR AMAZON AND HAVE THEM DELIVERED TO MY ADDRESS.   AS OF 8/16/2021, I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THESE." I recently found out that when he removed a shrub with a pick, he punctured one of my water sprinkler lines.  If he does answer my phone calls, he probably won't fix this line either. I believe he lied to me when he couldn't work the day he promised. He showed me a picture, telling me that his trailer axle had broken.  I believe this is the same picture he uses when he can't make a job date he's promised.  Most likely it is the same picture he showed my neighbor when he couldn't get to his yard on the day promised.
