Lets look at the real NMB and get a better understanding of how it works. I have been coming from Wilmington NC to shop here with my wife for many years. We have shopped hard and thoroughly each time with total happiness with our purchases. We were saddened when they closed the first location and had to wait for the second location to open. Now they are in their third location and they had it custom build to their specifications. First things first, they sell items at a discount because they purchase truck loads and truck loads if big box Retail and Amazon returns. This place has new and used items and usually they are at a better than new prices from the originating store. I personally shop for home DIY things, tools, parts to fix things, cooking items and bigger items like whole home dehumidifiers and the rare hi SEER split heat pumps. Consider this place a scratch and dent shop. Someone probably had it for a moment and returned it or it was defective. So inspect, check and buy with your eyes wide open! Check to make sure everything is all there and if you see an issue, let them know! Ask about their return policy because as I recall, its no money back but you can exchange for the amount spent. Let me give you a small example of our savings. Nee in the bag name brand premium mattress that online was $800 and we got it for $300. My recent late 2020 purchase was a whole house dehumidifier (190 pints a day) that online retails for $900 and I got it for around $500. But, its cosmetic cover was a little damaged and it has no affect on the performance of the item. Overall extremely happy! They have furniture, pet items, kitchen, tools, lighting, gardening, fans, ac's, heaters and the list goes on. I would go more often but they are closed on Sunday which is my wife's day off and thats are shopping in NMB day. I believe they also buy and fix used appliances so go there with a "it's used or returned" for a reason attitude and hopefully you will buy sone of the many unopened, unused items there or even used ones that will save you money and bring you some shopper satisfaction! I have purchased two "refurbished" washer and dryer sets from this business and both were junk. The spray paint on the first set started coming off as soon as we got it home but the bigger problem was it smelled so bad and made clothes smell the same no matter what I did but I thought that's probably a fluke so I purchased another set a couple months ago. The dryer door was broken and it takes 2 hours to dry any size load of clothes. They said they offer a warranty but if you need to use that warranty you have to get a truck and trailer, drive the machine 45 mins away to a small rural town, leave it and then get another truck and trailer and go pick it up. Their prices are high compared to what you can get from Marketplace. The only reason I went with them is the warranty that I found out is really no warranty at all. read more

My granddaughter bought her Mom a freezer for their new home. What a nightmare. Long story short. The door fell off right after delivery. Was told by the most ignorant unprofessional who answered the phone (owner's daughter) we must have bent the hinges when we opened the door. Just take a hammer and bang the bottom one up. WTH.??? After many phone calls We find out later from the owner's daughter that the owner bought a whole pallet of freezers without hardware and he thought he could put hardware that does not belong on those freezers anyway because they just wanted to sell the freezers. Well after a long time of back and forth the owner called and said if you can bring it back He will refund money. Already knowing this would never happen (reading reviews and speaking with other people) we brought the freezer back only to be met At the door with a high lighted piece of paper high lighter still in hand. Do not transport laying down or you warranty will be voided. You can transport laying down we googled it. We were told we broke it and can't return it. What??? How do you break a freezer that is already broken? Was told by the owner he could have put a mother board in it and resold it. What about the hinges? My granddaughter said to him you should have told me not to lay it down. The owner's reply. I don't have to tell you anything. Right because that would have blown his con. We were told by an employee that we are not the only ones. He has screwed so many customers. Only place to buy used appliances is Hall's appliances in Little River. 90 day warranty plus. I have dealt with them and had professional service. and that is why they have been in business in the same place for many years. And North Myrtle Beach Wholesale is no longer in North Myrtle Beach. Hope this saves anyone reading this the mess we had to go through losing the purchase price not to mention the cost of all the frozen food that had to be tossed in the trash. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I'm not one to write negative reviews but this place is horrible! To start out the used dryer I had previously lasted for years, so I said why not get another one used. Well that's not a good idea if your thinking about this dump. After a google search I stop at this place to pick out a dryer. Seemed easy at first even though they charge for everything, each step they have to climb to have it delivered to every mile they drive they also charge to take your old dryer ( I'm sure they keep it for parts but whatever). But I didn't have a truck so I paid it no biggie. The $169 dryer quickly turned into two hundred and something. They deliver it in about 4 or 5 days I don't remember exactly. Well when dryer comes it doesn't doesn't get hot, so after trying to dry clothes multiple time using different settings and replacing that metal hose thing in the back no luck. So there technician come and pretty much says it's a lemon. Ok well shit happens, so I call them back and they say ok come pick out another one, so I drive again 25 minutes away to pick out another dryer. I pick it up and they tell me they can't have it delivered for a week ( now I'm getting angry) but maybe their busy so whatever. So when I had it delivered the first time I told them to call my husbands phone because I knew he would be home, silly me thinking they would have that info saved as a back up contact number (they don't). So the day comes to deliver and I don't hear from them ( my phone stays in a locker and work with no service) I had no missed calls or messages so I wait, I call them back right before they close and they say we called you multiple times and you didn't pick up we even left and came back, I explained about my phone in the locker and asked why they didn't leave a message, she says nobody leaves messages any more ( all the places I ever done business with left a message to at least say they called) if they left a message I could have caught it and got in touch with them before they left ( but maybe I'm crazy) they also claimed they knocked on the door but my mom and husband was home and didn't hear a thing! Well now I'm being told that their not coming back until I pay the mileage that was used because I wasted their time. From the looks of things only their time and money is important not to talk about they sold me a defective dryer to start with. So they finally deliver it after I pay a small fee they knocked it down because they were in the area. Well get a kick out of this the second dryer DOES NOT WORK! So another tech comes out and it starts working yea all is well right! Nope it works for a month or so and now it's now getting hot. I refuse to even call these rude ppl back. I'll just eat that $250 and get a brand new dryer. Long story short yes they may have good stuff but it's not worth the risk of getting something bad! I've had to have other people come look at it because they haven't (it's been over 2 months). My dryer is shot because of how they hooked it up! My dryer is out of warranty but hey hooked it up and said I have to wait until they're able to come look at it after hours. I even agreed to pay because it is out of warranty and nothing! I should have read the reviews before I bought a washer/dryer combo unit! They delivered it, set it up, very nice guys who delivered it, by the way. This was during the week, so when I tried to wash my clothes over the weekend, first time using it, the washer did not work! flooded my floor and only filled with water, would not wash or spin, or completely drain! So first thing Monday morning I drove up to the store, talked with the owner, he was rude, just plain mean! Said to call the service number, did not care that they sold me a broken unit, the warrantee is a joke! When the owner actually got in my face and told me to "get the Hell out!" Even the girl that worked there, probably the owners wife or girlfriend, yelled at me to leave! I left, called the service number, got a very nice, polite lady who agreed, they should replace it because I just got it and it was broken when delivered. Anyway she said she can not do anything other than notify the serviceman to contact me, who knows when, to try and repair it! I will give it a few days, see what happens, and if not satisfied, I WILL file a complaint with the BBB and do everything I can to run these people out of business!
