Unfortunately the selection was pretty limited; I think they recently opened so perhaps they're not stocking much yet. I typically purchase Xicar lighters and cutters because of the lifetime warranty, which I have used pretty frequently as Xicar quality isn't the greatest, but if I can keep sending them back for free, it doesn't bother me that much. In any case, they had the typical cheap-o $2 and $5 cutters, and then a Xicar display shelf but no Xicar products to be found, so that was kind of weird. They only had three premium-style cutters in stock, one was camouflage, one was $40, one was $60, so not exactly a good selection. I went with the cheap-o since it would serve my purpose for one weekend. The torch selection was equally limited. Just a few options and none looked like they'd hold up for the long haul. I got one to get the job done for $15. So anyway, I'll probably give them a try in the coming months on the cigar side just to see how things pan out, and they're a great local option if you just need a cheap lighter and cutter to get you through a vacation, but they don't have the good stuff on the merchandise side at this point. Norman's liquors down the street also sells cigars but they do not sell torches or cutters at all, so don't bother looking there.

In a pinch, I frantically searched for a spot and the newly-reopened Madeira Beach Cigar Company came through. The selection at the time was limited, but I was able to secure some maduro torpedos. They weren't the best stogies I'd ever had, but they certainly sufficed considering the circumstances. The shop now has twice as many cigars, all of which are rolled locally by a Cuban gentleman named Rojer for MBC. With that being said, if you're looking for big name brands, this ain't the place for you. Personally, I love it when shops only carry locally rolled or boutique brands. For me, I see it as a forced opportunity to try something different. Rojer almost exclusively rolls these cigar with Nicaraguan tobacco, and that's alright with me. I honestly think the best cigars in the world are coming out of Nicaragua these days. The success of AJ Fernandez, coupled with the fact that the Dominican Cohiba brand now offers a Nicaraguan Red Dot isn't an accident or coincidence. My favorite stick here is the "Old Cuban," which is a misleading name, as it has no Cuban contents, and doesn't remind me of any Cuban cigar I've ever smoked. However, it is a medium-to-full flavored smoke with just enough spice to keep any cigar enthusiast engaged down tot he nub. The downside? No beverages and limited seating. There is a small couch inside, but it is very apparent that this is a grab-n-go operation. We sat outside and smoked, but the views, atmosphere and uncomfortable chairs made for a borderline unenjoyable session. Also, they had no real cigar ashtrays for customers. The young man working the counter, as friendly as he was, tried handing me three different cigarette ashtrays, which I'm sure is a violation of some kind of cigar etiquette rule somewhere. We begrudgingly settled for a large cigarette ashtray.

I always look forward to stopping in and seeing the employees who work there. They have a huge selection of products - everything is always clean, well-organized, fully stocked, and the location near downtown is super convenient. I also love their hours - opening at 8 AM and staying open until 11 PM means whether I'm working in the morning or evening, I can always stop by before or after work. It's truly my one-stop shop for everything I need to start and end my day! I have come in here a couple times in the past in need of some cheap juice and he has always delivered what I need. Today I was having a hell of a day. The juice that I ordered online - because it was on sale - was meant to be delivered yesterday but somehow got lost in the mail. I can't reach usps to figure it out and the website just says it couldn't be delivered but not why. So I had no juice. I went last night to get juice from another store - called Johnny Vapes, if I'm not mistaken - because it was the only one open after 8pm. The woman told me it had 3 mgs nicotine and I didn't check cuz I believed her. Then I got home and my partner pointed out to me that the bottle says zero nicotine. No wonder I'm so cranky. So today I decided I'd get some strong juice with high nicotine that I could mix with the juice I got so as not to waste it. I have a choice of several stores but I chose to go to St. Pete Vape and I'm so glad I did. The guy was amazing and he immediately understood my dilemma and offered the perfect solution. He just so happened to have samples of a juice with 36mg of nicotine. He put a couple drops into my vape to try and it was perfect. I'm so thrilled. Then he told me I could just take the bottle at no charge! What! This man is a true star and he's totally my hero. I didn't even tell him that I'm in a financial bind and that I really can't afford to keep buying juices that get lost in the mail or that have no nicotine at all. It's just too much. He could have taken $30-40 from me today. It would have been easy and I'd have paid without a complaint and still been happy. Instead, he took nothing from me but he gained a lifelong customer. I will be back soon because I need a new vape. Mine is old and falling apart. I found one I love in his store but he didn't have the color I wanted (he only had gold but that's not his fault cuz that's what the company sent him) so I told him to order me one in any other color but gold and I'll be back for it. So you'll be seeing me again. I'll be coming back any time I need anything vape related. And I'll be telling everyone I know who vapes that they have to go to St. Pete Vape, the number one vape shop in all of St. Petersburg. Thank you so much for being my hero and for saving the day for me. You are truly one of a kind and I'm so grateful for your kindness.
