Got a call back very quickly saying they were on their way and would arrive in about an hour. Anthony arrived with another gentleman, Dom, on time and they patiently listened while I explained what was going on and what I tried. Anthony told me they'd first try to snake the drain and if that didn't work, there was another procedure with a water jet. I appreciated him being upfront about the fact that the first thing they would try may not work in order to set expectations. Decided to go with the snaking and Anthony let me know the price and proceeded to do the work. They were very thorough, spending about an hour working on it and testing it. By the end of the snaking, everything was working without an issue! Throughout the work, Anthony and Dom were extremely pleasant. They took extra care to ask if it was okay to move things onto the counter or if I wanted any extra protection on the floor. The great work, attention to detail, and general pleasantness mean I'll be calling Downtown Plumbing anytime I need a plumber.

I shared that I was having low water flow in my toilet as well and thus experiencing frequent clogs. I'd ask if they can both unclog the toilet and to evaluate my toilet to see what the problem is. When I called, they gave a quote for 20 mins which was way faster than I expected! Nevertheless, they were late, taking an hour to come. That alone isn't the problem but without clear communication, it makes planning difficult. He did text that he was 18 mins away, 20 mins into the wait. And by that time, he was 20 mins late from that estimate. He came into my apt and QUICKLY fixed the clog with a drain auger (?). It seriously took 1 minute. I asked him if he could then take a look at my toilet as well to see WHY I keep having this problem. He takes one look at it and says you need an ENTIRELY NEW TOILET and quoted me $600. He didn't look at the tank, do any sort of inspection. I said wow that seems extreme to have to replace the whole toilet, you haven't even taken a look. He said he knows these sorts of toilets and that I'd need a new one. I asked him to send me a quote so I could share with my landlord. Never received the quote! He charged me $150! I get that is the service fee but I don't think that's fair for 1 min of work and not even taking the time to inspect the toilet to see what could be wrong with it. Asked another plumber to check out my toilet. They replaced some parts and now it's flushing appropriately. They had much better prices and better professionalism. Please don't waste your money on this company.

After having 64 F in my apartment for more than a week with 2 little kids, two guys came, checked the boiler down in a basement, checked the radiators and determined EVERYTHING IS FINE. I can't believe they really said this. I asked them if they think 64 F is fine. Those two guys said we have old windows. After I asked how is this related to the fact that the radiators are completely cold they said they have nothing to do here and simply walked out on me. AWFUL AWFUL SERVICE. I absolutely don't recommend. They didn't have enough courtesy to even hear me out when I asked for their manager/company owner name. Just plain rude and arrogant. Disgusting. Really disappointing that this behavior is somehow possible today.
