This place is okay. It needs much better signage. It was difficult to find. Other than that, the staff were kind and friendly.

Great until they stopped doing personal drug screens, big bummer for the average Joe off the street.

This prompted me more urgently to see if my prescription was up. I checked the Kaiser app to see if the prescription was up and BINGO! It was . Makes sense I was having vision challenges. Anywho, I'm from Fresno and the earliest I can be be seen was end of June 2026. I definitely can't be waiting that long unfortunately as I need new glasses and prescription. Luckily we were headed to the Bay Area for Easter and Martinez had 1 appointment open for 4/2 at 3pm. I booked it immediately as it's not too far from the dudes grandmas house. We ran into some car trouble and gps said we won't be there until 3:45 pm. I called Kaiser and they recommended I reschedule. I am not taking no for an answer and I saw on their site they take walk ins. I let the advice line know. I think we can make it. We made it at 3:50pm. It took me a little to find the location but I found it. 4pm. I registered online and checked in with staff to let them know. YES I am about an hour late. Took accountability 100% . They asked Dr. Angela Wong if she will take me. The staff member said she is with a patient but will ask. A few minutes later they call me. They said Dr. Angela Wong is ready for me. I cry. Before I can walk back Dr. Wong greets me so warm and excited to see me. I can feel my body relax as she reassures me she will take me in. Dr. Angela Wong is an amazing soul. She is so warm, funny, exciting and just refreshing. I have had bad optometrist experiences growing up but she has healed my trauma from just by her being her. So understanding and very supportive! Do not give her up Kaiser at all. She is a GEM to the optometry world . We had a blast together in the appointment and made it go by so fast. She gave me words of encouragement as I let her know I'm getting married. It was like talking to a bestie! Seriously recommend her. She was surprised I came from Fresno but lack of availability had me come up North. I left with a new prescription and ordering my glasses this week! Thank you Dr. Wong . Systemic stress is real! And barriers too but she closed the gap. Highly recommend her!

The person who received my call was very pleasant and nice. I was able to schedule an appointment at my home for the blood draw the following morning. The person who I spoke with, Bernadeth, explained the blood draw procedure and told me she would be at my house at 8 AM the following day The following day I received a text from Bernadeth telling me that she was on her way. Bernadeth arrived at my house a little early and messaged me if it was OK to do the blood draw now. I told her it was fine. I opened the door and was met by Bernadeth who was dressed appropriately and in fresh scrubs. Bernadeth presented me with her business card and politely asked if she could come in. She entered my house and asked me if there was a place I felt comfortable for the blood draw. I directed her to my kitchen. Bernadeth was very professional, put on rubber gloves, laid out a sterile pad on my kitchen table, and explained the procedure to me. Bernadeth found a vein she liked and carefully cleansed the area where the needle was to enter my vein. Bernadeth's skill in placement of the needle was fantastic and I didn't even feel the poke nor any pain at all! After the draw, Bernadeth placed the needle in a sharps container, gathered all the equipment she had used for the blood draw, and put them into a plastic bag. Bernadeth explained the procedure for the results, thanked me, and left my house. I would like to pass on that the level of professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and sanitation and safety practices were greater than I expected. The in-home service was so convenient for me and the cost was extremely fair compared to if I had to travel to a clinic for a blood draw. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Lay Lab for any blood draw procedures you may need!

This is an incredible service for anyone who is sick, homebound, or simply unable to get what they need done at a lab. In my case, the lab actually wouldn't do the bloodwork I needed to donate a kidney, so having someone come to me made the whole process possible. Charity was professional, very communicative, and incredibly gentle and kind during the draw. She made me feel at ease and took care of everything (she came to my house, drew my blood and even took my bloodwork to FedEx for dropoff) I plan on using her services in the future not only for myself, but also for my kids. Maybe you need to not get the raises. After all, right now most of Martinez residents and property owners are unemployed due to COVID! This is NOT the time to be sticking everybody with a crazy price increase that will literally DOUBLE your money over 6 year. Your projected wage/salaries/benefits are going up $1 million in 8 years. You need to have a wage freeze while the economy tries to recover from COVID. You already got a 4% or more increase approved for the next 2 years. Stick to that for now, and then when we are in a better place after the pandemic is over, stick to a REASONABLE price hike and my score about you will improve greatly! Also, when looking at your map on your website today, I noticed that it is completely illegible. It is not possible to see who is even serviced in your district. Everybody gets wage/salary/benefit increases every year, yet your website is as pathetic as they come. Is this our tax dollars at work. Shame on you!

To be clear, I know the COVID vaccine process is still underway so if you come here, their setup is extremely well organized and professional. They took something odd and a smidge intimidating and made it basically idiot-proof, which is greatly appreciated. So if you will be coming here for the Fauci ouchie, you are 100% in good hands! BUT - you might want to take an Uber to get here. There are two small lots for this facility but this facility was clearly never intended to manage dozens of people minute to minute. If you get a spot in one of the lots or the precarious parallel spots, consider yourself blessed. As for me, the first time I made multiple difficult loops around Allen before just giving up, heading down to the main roads around Alhambra and Berrellessa, and ended up illegally parking on Allen because I didn't want to be late. Luckily nothing happened, but I was illegally in front of a local's home and felt their eyeball wrath as I was leaving. The 2nd time I hoped for better but it was just as messy, so I planned ahead, wore athletic shoes, and parked many blocks away and hiked in. It was well worth it for the peace of mind, and not having to inconvenience locals who don't deserve to be inconvenienced because of this insanely unforeseen circumstance. A year from now this information will hopefully be largely irrelevant, but in the meantime, fair warning! Plan ahead, and manage your time well.
