I couldn't be happier with my decision to make the change. The owners are incredibly committed to making sure the atmosphere and environment is not only inviting, but also fun and comfortable. You can tell they care about every single member, as well as non members. They also take great pride in their gym. Their equipment is in great shape and it's always clean and ready to work out in. The trainers are phenomenal and so incredibly talented. It is obvious each one knows what they're doing (which is so important in a CrossFit environment) and that they're passionate about what they're doing. The programming is also another thing I love. You can tell a lot of thought and effort goes into programming each week and that all members are taken into consideration when writing the programming. Then there is the community. I'm a firm believer that the community can make or break a gym. There are so many kind and supportive people at Imperial CrossFit. They are welcoming and helpful and some of the best people I've ever met. I would absolutely recommend Imperial CrossFit to anyone looking for a CrossFit gym. I drive out of my way just to go here. I have two CrossFits closer to me but go to Imperial because of everything mentioned above. It's well worth a few extra minutes in the car so that I can get the quality I do at Imperial CrossFit. I'm also a firm believer that anyone can do CrossFit because everything can be modified for your specific needs. If you are at all considering trying CrossFit, give Imperial a try; you will not be disappointed.

I danced for 15 years and so I knew that Barre stood for a ballet barre, so I assumed it had to be some type of exercise studio. All of the ladies that work here are super friendly. They have a lot of really great packages and programs. Student discounts, Corporate discounts (if you can get five people to sign up), and New Client Memberships. I decided to try it out and purchased a drop in class which was $18.00. Man! This is not for the faint of heart. I had to modify most of the exercises, and had to take multiple breaks the first couple of weeks. I have always been a pretty active person. I played basketball in college (DII NCAA), and danced. I had been doing CrossFit for 10 months, but had taken a break from it due to multiple surgeries. I also didn't like how bulky I got doing CrossFit or that my WOD only took 20 minutes, and I felt like I hadn't worked out long enough. Barre is completely different. It is very challenging! This is not some Zumba class at your local Y. It is a full hour of circuit style barre/yoga/pilates style exercises. You will get your cardio! Don't worry! You will not stop moving for an entire hour. I love that I get a full body workout and my cardio in an hour. The same workout would take 2 hours of weights and then a two mile run just to get the same feeling. As a mother, I don't have three hours a day to spend at the gym. Barre provides variety to avoid muscle memory, and every class is different. I have been taking all of the 12 o'clock classes during my lunch hour (with the exception of Tuesdays). There are different instructors on different days, but even if you get the same person leading the class the workout is ALWAYS different. I usually have class with Trish or Elizabeth's, and I have done one 4:30 class with Dena. Love all of their styles. They are great. Elizabeth and Trish give modifications and really guide you to challenge yourself, and not give up. I literally feel addicted. I am coming 5 times a week, and I can tell on the days when I don't go that I missed a workout. This isn't a fad workout program, and there are a bunch out there. It is hard work, but if you do it, you wil get the results you want and better! I knew the first time I walked into class and saw a small group of women that looked like dancers that I was in the right place. Not because I look like a dancer, but because I want to look like one! lol I already feel leaner and more flexible. Just try a drop in class, you will be hoooked! It is great, tons of fun, and you will be back.

The contract violates (what is known as) the implied covenant of good faith found throughout WA state law. Look at the contract. They charge you for "last month's dues upfront" but include a line, in their contract, that states, your "upfront last month's dues" cannot be used to pay your 'final bill.' This is what is known as "fraud." Unless you threaten to sue them--unless you're willing to bring them to court--they will keep those funds - the upfront "last month dues" - even though it does not pay for any service whatsoever. Those funds, paid at the outset, have nothing to do with your "last month's dues." This business of "last month's dues" - that's just a label to deceive the customer. It's a scam. They have raked in hundreds of thousands perhaps millions from people, over the years, fraudulently.

I attend Monday evening water aerobics class and I always enjoy it! My personal trainer is Jason. He is phenomenal and really cares about his clients. I highly recommend either him or Zac S. if you are looking for a good personal trainer. The facilities are a mix of older equipment and newer equipment, but they do keep the areas clean. The building is a bit older, but it doesn't bother me. They also offer cryotherapy and massage. I will say that parking is a real pain. It can be so challenging finding parking, especially on weekday evenings. A massive headache! I wish they would address this and find solutions. It is a bit more expensive than some other gyms in the area, but you get a large selection of classes and services that you may not get at other area gyms. Otherwise, I highly recommend WSHC for your fitness needs. It's a great gym! Chauna and the entire management team are great and very responsive.
