Best gym I've ever been to. The trainers and the gym helped me lose 60 pounds (going from 215 to 155) and then helped me increase my strength while lowering my body fat. Ultimately I went from 215 and 34 percent body fat to 165 and 10. I owe a lot to this place. The owner, Drew, and his staff are incredibly personable, knowledgeable and energetic. They're both incredibly informative and are great motivators. They make working out with a personal trainer enjoyable. The facility itself has everything you need to get a full workout in. Whether you're doing a class, working out alone, or working with a trainer, there's typically more than enough room and/or equipment to knockout whatever it is you're doing. Also, because it isn't a mega gym, like LA or 24, there's a cool sense of community between members, because you typically see the same people every day and the gym also does an awesome job of holding gym-wide events outside of the gym. It's honestly like a family. The classes are great. It's an awesome way of working hard for an hour, with a group and a trainer to accomplish a number of goals. If you're someone who has strict time restraints, needs guidance, and/or gets motivated with others, then check out a class. The gym also offers great PT resources as well. I tore some ligaments in my ankle and Bobby, a trainer, did an awesome job of helping me rehab. When I started I could barely squat on my own, with not weight, and within two months I was back to over 315+. As a proxy for my wife, Mika this is a really good place for personal training. She is a perfectionist and if she says this place and trainer is good, he listens and they are results oriented. I kinda regret not shifting my fitness budget from Microsoft to here and get some personal training. I've also heard that the fitness boot camp training is good. I've been doing boot camp classes here since 2021 and I've been very happy with the trainers energy/expertise, the atmosphere in the gym, and the overall workout I get! The trainers are great about answering questions, providing modifications, and correcting form to avoid injuries. Man, this place looks semi decent for a gym. The trainer was cocky and didn't help those modify and worries me that he wasn't interested in keeping long term clients. Kennie I think was his name. I won't be bacK, and really needed a gym that offers classes. I brought a friend and was embarrassed he was more concerned with talking about his experience rather than making the smart connection and keeping the team motivated. This is how injuries happen. I've been so impressed with their handling of the pandemic. I don't know what kind of craziness must have gone on behind the scenes, but as a user my experience was almost seamless - one day we were in the gym, the next we were attending a bootcamp session online. Out of town guest looking for a decent place to workout. Calld the gym and the gentleman on the other line was very informative and friendly. I showed up a couple hours later and began my workout. I wasn't there for the personal training or classes so I cannot comment on them. I went strictly to use the equipment. All the equipment was older metal plates, which I love, but they didn't have any dedicated benches. All benching was done inside a rack. There were two racks and one (maybe two) Smith machines. Had a full set of dumbells and one full cable system with two rows. The gym wasn't crowded, but I was there at about 130 on a weekday. Toward the end of my workout more people were showing up and I could definetly tell that equipment availability would become an issue. Overall I had a good experience. read more

Freedom Fitness and Drew was recommended to me about 2 weeks before I decided to join. His staff is truly dedicated to supporting you from start to finish. I absolutely love Freedom Fitness and wished I had signed up years ago! I've been doing the boot camp classes 3-5 days a week for the last two months and have definitely felt a change. I'm stronger, have more stamina, have lost inches and pounds and overall have more self confidence. Just the other day I looked in the mirror and thought "hey, where's my back fat!?" I still have a ways to go, but could not think of a better place to go on this journey. What I like even more than the results is the overall great feeling you have when you step in the door. Each trainer is wonderful (except when you're cursing them for making you do one more burpee ;) and the people that workout there are like a big happy family. I miss the work outs and people when I can't go - which says so much about the place since I've always wanted to avoid the gym, not run to it! I also have a hard time deciding between the early morning or afternoon classes, because both trainers are wonderful. If I could give anyone reading this advice - it's to pick up the phone or go on in and talk to the staff! I looked up Freedom Fitness over a year ago and kick myself every time I think about not signing up then. I didn't think I would like it because they don't have Zumba or spinning - but I am getting a MUCH better work out and having even more fun than any other gym I've been a part of (and I've been a member at many!) I have been working out and getting personal training at Freedom Fitness for the last three weeks. The staff is awesome. Down to earth and unpretentious trainers who know thier stuff. Form is a huge key thing here. They make sure you are doing every exercise in the exact right way to ensure you do not hurt yourself and that you isolate the right muscles, in the right order, for maximum results. Is it hard??? I am so lucky to have found Nicky. I'm fairly good about sticking to healthy foods and usually working out on a regular basis, but I have never felt so energized, optimistic, or as excited about working out as I have been since I started training under Nicky. She's such an unending source of positivity and light in my life, going above and beyond what I thought a personal trainer would ever help me with. I came from a gym where the only personal trainer I worked with spent most of the 30 minutes of our time together talking to other gym patrons, and left me feeling like I wasn't quite good enough to ever achieve any fitness goals. That trainer isn't even in the same league as Nicky. Sure, I can't rave enough about how fun Nicky's workouts are. She listens to my fitness goals, and provides me with great, stimulating and diverse work outs that keep me interested and looking forward to our next work out together. But what I really can't praise enough is Nicky's dedication to being a personal trainer and a life style coach. Nicky's created a group outside the gym to send us daily updates, challenges and motivational messages. I've also never had an interaction with her when she didn't encourage me, try to build me up, and just overall provide a great example of how fitness and a positive mindset can change your life for the better. I have been going to this gym for about a month. I found this gym due to the high reviews here on Yelp and I have to say the reviews hold true. From day one this place has been amazing. I was looking for a neighborhood place to sign up with and the first day we came in on a Saturday the trainers were very friendly and helpful without being too pushy! (I hate the salesman vibe most gyms have but this gym hasn't sold me anything yet!). I asked about a free trial and they told me to talk to the owner because he was pretty generous with the idea of new people trying out his gym. I later called that week to talk to the owner Drew who I was very surprised to learn worked not only most days of the week day but also into the evening. Most owners are hard to get of hold of but he is great at making himself readily available to his clients. I attended a boot camp session and after my first boot camp workout I knew I was hooked and was ready to sign up. They had no hidden sign up fees or contracts. Everything was very simple and easy, all we had to pay was our first months payment and done! All the trainers are great! They make sure to explain all the moves, make sure everyone is involved, and that everyone is getting the best out of their workout. This gym is very unique in a good way. It's hard to explain the set up but I think it's great for their customers. It's easy to see that the staff here really cares about their clients and not about making money. They're all approachable and help people to feel comfortable working out at the gym which is not always an easy thing to do. I'd recommend this gym to people of all fitness levels. read more

I had gone to this gym awhile ago for a couple bootcamp classes, it is a pretty small gym, with some friendly staff and some so-so staff, the classes are pretty basic, but a good work out although a bit pricey. I recently went there on a Groupon, which listed their address off to the side. I called before I came to verify the location and explained that I was using the Groupon. I was turned away when I arrived, advising that they mis-understood my call and they will not honor the Groupon at this location, disappointing to say the least. They really make no attempt to keep me as a patron. After going back and forth with Groupon, my money was finally reimbursed, hence the 3 stars. read more

I joined this gym almost a year ago to help w/ post rotator cuff surgery. My trainer, Kyle was fabulous. I knew i didn't want to sign up for membership because i'm not consistent and my work schedule is crazy, but did anyways. I was okay w/ personal trainer. After this, i had back to back issues that didn't allow me to attend while getting charged none the less. Broke my toe, tennis elbow, torn meniscus in my knee, and i am just now getting out of sling for a procedure on my elbow. i had good communication w/ drew, the owner, explaining all the issues and requesting cancellation, and although my account was frozen for a short while, i'm still being charged the monthly fee. it's money i can ill afford to lose but i suppose it's buyer beware as i knew i shouldn't have signed up. word to the wise: know yourself. if you're not going to go consistently, just get the personal trainer fee and go when you can. I'm not sure if Kyle is there any longer, but if he's is..he's your guy. I wish this had been a better outcome for me, but that didn't happen. read more

If you are terrified (like I was) to be in a gym, the weights, the workouts, the machines...everything was very intimidating in my mind, let me tell you, you won't be after you go here. This place, has been such a beautiful impact on my life since I have been going. I was so nervous, but the trainers want to help you, they want your form to be right so you dont hurt yourself, they want you to push yourself to be the best version of you. Pushing yourself is only a quarter of the battle, showing up every day is another quarter, attitude is another, and nutrition is another. All of these facets, are tip top in this gym. To be able to use the weights and the machines and be taught all the best ways to achieve your results is the greatest gift I could have received this year. I've seen the bootcamps in action, and let me tell you, they are fantastic and energizing. I've personally been doing the sheets, which gradually works up your endurance, weights with multiple workouts. You go in ready to achieve and you will receive a smile as you walk out the door because you just gave yourself a little bit of time to make you stronger mentally, physically, & emotionally. This place gives you the tools to do so. You have trainers to answer your questions, show you movements and how to do each set properly, the membership for me has been one of the greatest investments in my life and I'm proud to be a part of this new community, they are truly wonderful people and it is my new favorite place to visit every day. read more

I've been going to Freedom fitness for couple weeks now and very impressed. Its a focus on full body with many routines and lifting is what i was looking for. I read Tosca Renos book, but it was hard to get going on your own routine. Bootcamp is great too! They help with nutritional plans, I did the first 2 weeks. IT was great! Although I have not checked my results yet, i feel the different and I love going in the morning with James. He is a bit tougher than drew and really keeps eye on your form. IT great location and easy to get in. This is a great Coaching gym, that really personalizes your care. I recommend it to anyone looking to push themselves more in increasing muscle size . read more

I came in for a free health assessment from Nicky. She was wonderful and very nice she understood I haven't worked out in a gym setting before so i have no knowledge of anything. The gym is the cleanest I ever seen. The boss was vacuuming the floor as I was there. Unfortunately after my assessment I didn't fit the gym environment. Nicky was understanding of my decision and didn't force me to join. I'm very happy to have tried this gym out. They opening a new location in federal way I wish them the best. I hope they have many locations to replace LA fitness and 24 hr fitness etc. it shows that the owner and his staff like Nicky really care about their gym and are there to help their members succeed.
