I'm not one to write reviews, but I attended this business a few days ago (12/29/24 around 11am) and still cannot shake how unprofessional my experience was. I came in with a simple request, I lost the back of my nostril piercing and needed a replacement. I even called ahead with what my problem was and they said they could help me. To start, they didn't ask for my ID once, and I am a 20 y/o 5ft woman, I look pretty young and am agreeable and shy. They told me that it probably wasn't a good idea to do the stud, because they weren't sure if my top would fit into their backings (threadless nostril jewelry is pretty standard but okay) and that they don't sell the backs separately (fair enough... I believed that they were trying to save me money). So they offered a hoop. I've been interested in a hoop for awhile so I hesitantly agreed and asked for the smallest option. It looked pretty big in my hand, so I asked again if they were sure the stud would be a bad idea (they said yes) and if they have a smaller hoop. I was brought into the back room where I said again the hoop seems too big for what I'm wanting, but the piercer just wanted to get it done. No offer to hold up a mirror to test the jewelry, which should be the bare minimum. After an aggressive insertion, I look in the mirror and burst into tears. It was too big and bleeding and hurt so bad. So then magically, they offered to sell a cheap stud to me (which is all I was wanting in the first place). She takes out the hoop, and tries to shove in the back of the stud without properly threading it (it obviously didn't work with more blood and pain), until she tried again with the threading. Of course, my gem fit perfectly in the backing. And of course, I still had to pay for both the hoop, stud, and their time. They just wanted to make a sale on the $30 dollar hoop instead of the $15 stud. Even grosser is beforehand they said that doing the hoop would be "saving me money" since they don't sell the backings of studs separately from the gem or ball (even though come to find it was half of what the hoop was). I originally felt that it was my fault my experience was so traumatic, but it is the professional's responsibility to make their customer comfortable and confident in their decision, especially when they are clearly nervous/hesitant/asking for other options repeatedly. And when you are in a line of work working with people's bodies. In conclusion, it was rushed, unnecessarily painful, unprofessional, expensive, and most of all deceptive. I feel violated. And to top it all off, they threw the 14k gold earring I had in my nose as a placeholder when I arrived in the garbage (she fished it out of there for me, but come on). Do better. read more

Got my first tattoo at this place. It was a pretty basic design that took less than a half an hour. Had a good experience. The place and tools were clean, place is well lit, the staff was friendly, and price was reasonable. All of my questions were answered. They treated me no different than anyone who's already been inked. If you are a first-timer and/or need hand holding with lots of details, this may not be the shop for you. Not a lot of info or education on getting tattoos was offered up front. There is is 2-page waiver form you have to sign, but it only contains basic info. They didn't try to sell their shop by showing off their work. They don't sell tattoo products. I would return. read more

He captured exactly what I wanted and I plan to do more work with him. 8 hours of half sleeve work was done so well that I fell asleep several times while he was working. I haven't even stepped inside the store but the person who answered the phone told me that the artist does not wear a mask while working on your tattoo. My entire experience - from the moment I set foot in the door to the moment I left was phenomenal. So much gratitude to Danny, Chriz, and Lauren for welcoming me and being able to fit me in as a walk in. The studio is highly professional, but also has a welcoming feeling to it. The energy was positive and calming. My entire process was smooth and hassle-free...truly a magical experience. Both Chriz and Danny are super personable and overall, spectacular artists. I found out about No Sleep through an extraordinary tattoo that Danny did. The artwork really floored me, especially when I heard that the entire process was a co-creation that Danny spearheaded. Truly a unique tattoo. I was so blessed to walk in on Saturday and be able to get tattooed by Danny. Mid-tattoo, Danny asks me, "do you know what the hardest thing to tattoo is....CIRCLES" right has he's working on the circles on my arm, which by the way he nailed. Had an amazing experience at this shop today! Walked in earlier this afternoon with an idea for my tattoo and was greeted by Danny and Lauren. From start to finish, both of them were welcoming, friendly and awesome. The shop is so clean and their decor is amazing. Danny drew up my design, was super patient while I figured out the perfect placement and we had a great convo while I got my tattoo. I sat with Lauren after and got a new earring for my rook piercing, and she even offered to change it for me. Overall, 10 out of 10. The owner was a little hesitant when I asked for the position because the previous apprentice was a woman and she quit. He told me he was going to give the opening to whoever showed they wanted it. I went in a total of 5 times (made me believe I was doing a good job with my drawings and appreciated my dedication), just to get told he's "still thinking about it" and "idk if I want to bring in another female". He was so thorough in his directions. We must have spent a full five minutes on the phone. Very personable and nice to talk to. I originally went in for a nose piercing but as soon as I walked in the shop and saw Danny, I knew I was walking out with a tattoo as well.( If I were 20 yrs younger and not married lol) Josh did my piercing and he was the most awesome guy to talk to. I went to this establishment on 01/08/2019 and was greeted by the owner and we quickly discussed my vision concerning a tattoo that I wanted. I was informed the owner would perform this tattoo the following day and he quoted me a specific price and made my appointment for the following day 01/09/2019. When I arrived for my appointment no other customers were present and the owner greeted me and introduced me to another artist that he stated would perform the tattoo. Things quickly got shaky when the new artist informed me he needed 20-30 more minutes to sketch my tattoo. While I didn't mind waiting this was not consistent with the original plan that occurred the day prior but I sat patiently alone in the front of the shop. when the artist emerged from his room he quoted me a price that was 50 dollars more than the original price the owner quoted me. I informed the new artist this price was more than what I was quoted and he didn't respond. When I asked for a military discount he informed me that wasn't an option because the whole area is really military. I opted not to get my tattoo here even though I was scheduled for it to take place given how things unfolded and how it was out of order. I do respect all establishments but I can't spend my time and money with businesses that don't stand by their statements or change agreements at will. Given the current state of affairs I wasn't expecting any discounts but I would have appreciated if the original artist, price, and even sketch would have remained the same. The artist did have a great sketch even though it looked smaller than the original concept and the place did look clean. Unfortunately I will not be back and will probably go somewhere else. read more

I got my second tattoo done here by Dan/Dimitry. I called on a Wednesday morning to see if anyone could do a small tattoo, about 3 inches by 3 inches. The (friendly) receptionist made me an appointment for the same day. Dan was patient and attentive and the tattoo was reasonably priced. The tattoo turned out great. He gave me after care instructions that were quick and simple, using Derm Shield, unlike my first tattoo (which was a full page of directions). read more

This place is kind of hidden but it's there and it's a nice small tattoo place. I came here for my first tattoo and I'll admit it was on impulse. Well getting it then was impulse but I've always wanted one. Anyway I went, found something I liked, sent it to the guy who was helping me, and did it within 10-15 minutes (it was a small tattoo). He was super nice and when I went to go pay he told me they didn't accept card so he let me leave to get cash and come back. I also asked him about pricing for another tattoo I was thinking about doing and he was very helpful. I don't remember his name but I wish I did. If I could give no stars I would. I got my navel pierced and first of all, the guy didn't clean it properly and I know because I've gotten pierced at other places. I should've left then but this guy assured me he knew what he was doing, he took 10 minutes trying to decide whether or not to use clamps because he "never uses them" but for me he took them off and on about 5 times and then decided not to use them... I knew when I was sitting there that he didn't know what he was doing and that that I should of left... I gave him the benefit of he doubt because he kept telling me he used to work at a piercing shop in NYC and did this all the time and he knew what he was doing. He didn't. Eventually he put the piercing in FREE HANDEDLY and the process wasn't fast, it took about 30 seconds which for a piercing is very long because it should be in and out in a second. I go and check it out and it's SO crooked!!!! I went back and told them it was crooked and the piercing guy told me it's not but he would fix it and I was asked him how he would fix it (I knew the whole time I didn't want him to touch it again but I was curious) he said he would put the needle back through the top to make it more open... that doesn't make sense at all... anyways I left really unsatisfied, the only reason I would go back is to get my money back.. which I'm going to do. Update: I went back to see if they could actually fix it, not even to get my money back and the owner Chris was very unprofessional, rude, and had an immediate nasty attitude. Horrible consumer service. DO NOT GIVE them any deposit. Once you set up a appointment, you better wish nothing major happens that prevents you from calling to reschedule because if you don't then your deposit is gone. I set up a late appointment and I was with my wife at the doctor and by the time I had signal, it was way after closing. Told them right when they open the next day but was told if I want to reschedule then I would need to give another deposit. I find it hard to believe anybody would give another $50 to reschedule with this tattoo shop. Take your money somewhere else. read more

First off let me state that this is by far one of cleanest tattoo shops that I've been in. Danny came highly recommend to me by one of my clients and a coworker. I called the shop directly to book my appointment and Danny recommended that I come in so that we can talk further and so that he can map out the placement of my tattoo. The consultation was quick and to the point. I showed him about three images of what I was going for and told him to take his own creative take on it. The following week I came in to get the tattoo done. The drawing was better than expected. My little sister got her belly button pierced here a few hours ago.. she came home upset about the piercing and i noticed it was crooked as hell so as her older sis i called and asked if we could come back and see if there was anything we could do about the piercing. On the way their she tells me how he DIDNT use clamps, he clamps he knew what he was doing.. & didnt sterilize the needles after taking them out of the packing like wtf..... The minute we walk in she lifts her shirt and before he even looks at it says "its not crooked.. he then began raising his voice and caught an attitude with her saying things like "what are you looking at" and not once did we ask for the money back but instead of offering to re pierce her he yells at her and says okay you want your money back here take it back.. free piercing for you and then just continues on raising his voice very unprofessionally and immature.
