I was able to get the prescription in time to prep my baby for her piercing. The actual appt was so easy & my sweet girl barely cried. The nurse did a great job in administering the piercings skillfully & swiftly. She even kept our baby relaxed which kept our group of 5 in good spirits ! (My mom & sister came to cheer our sweet girl on during this momentous occasion!). She showed my husband and I how to clean them daily & gave us the cleaning care package. While I was doing the paperwork before getting pierced the two employees were very rude to me and my guardian. They made no effort to make me feel safe during the process. Both of them never made eye contact with us. Also, one of them was very uneducated on what to do. I asked for a "mid" which they told me was a cartilage piercing. The employee marked my ear and then proceeded to prepare the gun. During the piercing I was never told when it would happen she just did it. Afterwards I was unhappy with the result but felt so unwanted that I simply walked away in tears. The piercing was only on my lob and not even on the marking she had made. I would not recommend to anyone.

I love Pagoda and purchase all of my body jewelry from their locations. Their warranty is excellent and definitely recommend it for the few extra bucks especially on the expensive white gold pieces. I've been one of their customer for over 4 years now and never thought to leave a review for any other location (Montgomery & Wheaton) but this one representative certainly made the process seamless. I remember I was devoriced or on my way to getting one when I got the third tattoo* 10/13/20 This Tattoo place use to be located at 940 bonifant st, silver spring, md 20910. This is the tattoo location I went to incase this place does not remember me. (I will add my photo after work today) However, as Silver Spring has changed and grown from the hoodlum it was, to the new upper class area, many businesses have moved to other locations or shutdown for good. Ambrotos Tattoos in Silver Spring is where I aquired my second tattoo. I showed up to this place on a spur of the moment... okay I called to find out when the opened on a certain day ahead of time. Anyhow, I showed up with no real preparation on what I wanted. I looked around for awhile bouncing around ideas, until I found a picture of fairly with her wings spread. The idea of having another fox on my upper arm came to mind. This fox would on mountain top with a few apples near it. The fox is reaching for another apple. There would be a waterfall near it too. Waterfalls are something I have always liked since I was a kid. The tattoo artist I believe had red hair and was cool dude. He had a lot of patience with what I wanted to get done. Any tattoo artist will tell you this is serious life choice. Once the tattoo is on your skin, removing it can be more costly than keeping it. Can be painful and unsightly to remove it too. Both he and I understood this without having to say anything about that. As we talked, I found out he once worked at a tattoo place called Inkers Tattoo. I found out he trained a girl...woman named Ashley. (I HOPE I GOT HER NAME RIGHT) I did get the feeling they may have had a falling out. Nevertheless, I found it interesting that the person giving me my second tattoo would be the trainer of the person who gave me my first tattoo. Watching the set up of clean and sterile equipment. I watched as the needle scraped against my skin. Personally the pain was pretty much nonexistent. However as the needle crept up to my chest, I could feel how painful it would be if I did get a chest tattoo. The mythical animal I call The Bellfox is rarly seen by people with its wings. The whole process of getting this tattoo was about 2 hours. The shading wasn't bad either. The healing process wasn't as bad thos time around, because I now knew what to expect. A+D First Aid Skin Ointment helped a great deal. I also used lotion, but I won't say which kind. The tattoo artist at whichever place you go to will advise you what to get. Your paying good money to get a tattoo from them so listing to their advise on the healing process is advised. Not to jump off topic, but I will for a moment. A guy once told me he had gotten a tattoo once. He later on that day went for a swim in a swimming pool and list all the color off of his tattoo. The guy had to get his tattoo redone again. He was lucky his tattoo did not get infected too. I remember the guy telling me that if I ever get a tattoo, I should listen to what they say about the healing process and don't be a moron like him. Well I listen to what the tattoo artist told me and the itchy feeling of my arm/shoulder healed in no time. I would like to thank this guy for the tattoo this guy did. If there was anything I would want changed about the tattoo, it would be to add more water. Maybe one day I might have the artwork on both my tattoos updated with more water, but we will have to see. Maybe if I winner $100,000.00 I'll do it.

While she does use a drill (contrary to what I originally searched for), she's incredibly skilled, gentle, and precise--so much so that it never damages my nails. Her technique is both efficient and mindful, striking the perfect balance between machine and hand filing. Initially, I was getting regular gel manicures, but Bernadette truly cares about nail health, and she suggested switching to builder gel (BIAB). It was a game-changer. Builder gel doesn't require soaking off and allows for continuous fills--meaning you can build on top of your last set without compromising nail integrity. Since switching, my nails have grown so long, strong, and healthy, and a single BIAB manicure can last me up to 6 weeks! Beyond nails, Bernadette is a wonderful person--easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. She also specializes in pedicures for clients with diabetes or other health conditions, which speaks volumes about her expertise and sensitivity to clients' unique needs. If you're looking for a thoughtful, health-conscious nail experience, I highly recommend Refresh Nail Spa and Bernadette in particular. I guess I will start off by telling you that No Sleep is not a mattress store or sleep apnea research facility! It is a kick ass tattoo parlor. I followed Danny over from his former spot, Raw Ink. I had my first work done with him over there and had to get more done. I have now had 5 tattoos done by him at No Sleep and I love each one more than the last! Danny is a phenomenal artist on paper and flawlessly transfers the image to my skin. We have been working on an HP Lovecraft themed sleeve and it looks great. You can check it on their instagram and facebook pages. Danny is big on customer service and makes sure his clients are comfortable, informed and important. I can call or text him any time and tell him what I have in mind and he gets me in there within a few days with a design that he could have pulled right out of my head. I have referred several people to him and they agree that he is awesome. The shop is very clean and professionally maintained. I have not had any work done by the Native American gentleman that also works there but I am told he is almost as equally as talented as Danny. If you are in Upper Montgomery County and are looking to get some ink these are the guys you need to go to. read more

I've been tattooed by both Danny and Chriz and will never go to anyone else. They are both professional, kind, and extremely talented. I sat down with Chriz to go over what I had in mind for a pretty large tattoo, and it took all of 15 minutes for him to bring my vision to life. For the 3 hours it took, he was talkative, sweet, and very professional. Danny is my original artist. He has done 7 tattoos on me, and I love each and every one of them. Danny takes ideas that you have and makes them completely original based on your personality. He WOW's me every single time. I will definitely going back to him to complete my 3/4 sleeve. The shop itself is very cool! They offer water and snacks, and have a nice waiting room with a couch and a TV. It is very clean, and everyone is very friendly.I have never felt weary, rushed, or doubtful when going to No Sleep for my artwork. I have been wanting to do a cover up for a long time. I had gone to other tattoo shops in the past and they showed little interest or the ideas did not match my thoughts. I gave up for awhile. When I decided to try again, I googled local shops and after reading the reviews, I decided to visit No Sleep Art & Tattoo. As soon as I arrived, I could tell this was the place. I was greeted by the receptionist (sorry I did not get her name) and she introduced me to Danny. He was so friendly and highly professional. After speaking to him and listening to his ideas, I was so pleased I booked a time to have it done. When he sent me the proposed drawing, I was blown away. It was amazing!! He is an exceptional artist and the final tattoo was better than I had imagined. I can not wait to work with him again on the next one. No Sleep Art & Tattoo is located on Ziggy lane by the train tracks. A quaint area but a very cool shop. Once you enter the shop, it is a very chill and clean environment. There is a nice hangout and waiting area equipped with snacks and a tv. You are welcome to read any of the art books or browse the art and tattoo portfolios, which is quite nice. The artwork and design of the studio itself is nice. I highly recommend Danny for any traditional, stippling, or any bold creative design. He custom draws any design you may have in mind. Chriz is extremely friendly and does great work as well. I have quite a few tattoos from Chriz and will continue to do so. He is really good at realism and stays up to date to contemporary & modern tattoo design, which is great when you don't know exactly what you might be looking forward. the first is the tattoo I requested... the second is the horrific nightmare that I was given. I called and asked for a simple refund of the $100 I paid (not including the additional $20 I gave for tip) and the manager proceeded to tell me that no tattoo is simple and its my fault for not looking at the drawing before the artist began, which made absolutely no sense because I supplied the picture and it was very much straight before the artist DANNY began. i repeatedly stated I did not want to make a big deal of it, I understand we're all human and mistakes can occur but instead of attempting to right the situation, the manager proceeded to tell me that he welcomes negative feedback and it won't tank his business... I went to No Sleep tattoo to look in to have a 23 year old tattoo redone. I also wanted to add the tattoo. I was greeted right away by one of the owners Danny. He was polite and professional. We sat down and talked about what I wanted and he listen to me to a tee. I went back to see the art work a few weeks later and loved the butterflies he designed for me. Danny called me the day of may appointment to confirm and said he had an idea that come to him the night before in regards to my tattoo. I had my Clint Eastwood tattoo done by Chriz by recommendation from a friend. It came out exactly as i imagined if not better. Im a huge classic movie buff and very particular about what goes on my body but he exceeded my expectations! I was so happy with my Clint tattoo, I decided to start a classic horror movie monsters sleeve on my right arm. I decided to get my navel pierced for my birthday on November 23, 2016. Five days later I noticed the top ball of my piercing was embedded in my skin. I contacted the original piercer (from a different shop) and she assured me that it was "normal." I decided to go with my gut feeling and contact another piercer for a second opinion. I have been a regular client of Reiko's for a few years now. I recently had microblading (brows) and semi-permanent eyeliner done. I absolutely love it. I got referred to Reiko by a friend of couple of years ago. I am a regular client of hers and see her for my brows, waxing, facials, and lashes #totalpackage. I went to this shop after searching the internet to find a good Piercer and read nothing but good things... I went there and Lauren was so nice and easy to talk to. I went in to get both of ears pierced (conch) and she did an awesome job and I would definitely recommend her if you are looking to get a piercing. Having an appointment should mean your time is respected, so this was very frustrating. While the owner was friendly and polite, the overall experience felt unprofessional and disorganized. Throughout my visit, I only saw the owner working, and there didn't appear to be any other staff available, which may have contributed to the delays. To make matters worse, my jewelry came off just one week after the piercing, even though I followed all of the aftercare instructions exactly as I was told. I expected the jewelry to be secure, especially so soon after getting pierced. Having to deal with that so quickly was disappointing and made me question the quality of the service. Overall, between the long wait despite having an appointment and the issue with my jewelry coming off after only a week, I was very dissatisfied with my experience. Unfortunately, I won't be returning or recommending this place to others.

Hidden terms: An electronic request for the $100 consultation fee (w/ an unexpected 10% processing fee), only to find out from their confirmation AFTER that they accept cash w/o the fee. Inflexible policies: I emailed and texted to cancel according to their policy (no penalty if cancel more than 72 hours). They claimed it didn't apply, but "graciously" let me reschedule. Insane pricing: A flat hourly rate regardless of complexity. When I finally forced a real quote out of them, it was 2-3x higher than other shops. I ultimately cut my losses, walked away from the $100, and went to another artist. My final ink only took 30 min, w/ no consultation fee, and cost 40% of what this place quoted. Total rip-off.

Her studio is a nice cozy private suite that feels very welcoming and peaceful, the type of place I want to escape to for a bit from this mad dash of reality. I go in, sit down, zone out for a bit to her whole range of steaming services and music or chat with her, and leave with an aftercare kit and fresh ink. I couldn't ask for anything better at this point, she sets the standard in how the modern tattooing service should go. I have 7 tattoos from Kay now and will be working with her on my diving theme leg sleeve next, I'm sure more will be soon to follow!

Copy and pasted below is the email I sent to them and got NO response at all. It has been a week and I didn't even get an apology much less any effort to right this wrong. I have cried over this. I am not one to just put tattoos on my body for the sake of it. This is a memorial tattoo and I am so glad at this point that I didn't get my late husband's thumbprint yet because I would be even more upset if that was ruined. I tried to handle this with out laying it out there because I know mistakes happen, but the fact that I have received NO response at all to this email has made it clear that they don't actually care. Hello, I came in about 2 weeks ago for a tattoo. Despite the fact that I had emailed and confirmed with Haleigh on Monday that I was coming for an appointment with her when I arrived that Thursday, my appointment was not in the schedule and she wasn't even ready for me at all. She had a different appointment scheduled at the time I was supposed to be seen Apparently there are glitches with your scheduling software. I try not be a pain and when a different artist was offered to me as she was free at the time I said ok. Lainey took over and just did the nose prints from my dogs since that was basically a copy and paste, since absolutely nothing had been worked up for the other part of my memorial tattoo, which is my late husband's thumbprint as the body of a hummingbird. I was so excited to get the tattoo I agreed to switch artists figuring that anyone in the shop would be good enough to do it well. Though I was already disappointed that I was not seeing the original artist, nor had she even started to work up any options that I thought I would have seen and been able to discuss ahead of time. Well, there is a decent amount of blow out on my tattoo. I am extremely disappointed because this tattoo means so much to me. As far as I understand there is nothing that can be done to remedy this and I am now forever stuck with it. I just wanted you to know how upset I am over this. I actually tried to do it right this time. Found who was supposed to be a reputable and sought after tattoo shop, took the time to come in for 2 different consults, and sent multiple emails with pictures. And this tattoo that means so much to me is blurry and there is random ink under my skin. I've attached pictures. There are spots that are supposed to be there, but the blow out is especially noticeable on the lower nose print. As I said, to my understanding there is nothing that can be done to fix this. I have gone to Bullet and Amy, I love both and appreciate each style. I am always happy and always treated like family. They are responsive to care questions (recent tattoo (giant piece) healing at a different pace then past pieces, no issues but I had follow up care questions which were answered within the hour by email). These artists are great and incredibly fun. This is a true died in the wool tattoo shop. I have been tattooed, my friends and father - all with incredible results.
