She was very meticulous and I love the results - it was exactly what I was hoping for. She was also very friendly and personable and easy to talk to, which made the procedure more bearable. Like one of the other reviews mentioned, it was almost like a therapy session :) She even fixed my eyebrows a bit (I had screwed it up because I was trying to reshape them LOL), and let me know I can return in 2 months for a free touch up for the eyeliner. Overall, I highly recommend Ping's and hopefully will try some of her other services in the future. Miracles do happen. I remember dreading those days my mom took me to see Ping because Ping was a little too darn good at her job and I was just a tad too naive and unappreciative as a kid, but she cleaned the heck out of my face and I'm 100% certain I have better skin now because my mom forced me to see her then. I didn't think Ping was still around and thank goodness she still is and I was still able to find her. She does a host of things, from facial cleanings to extractions, mole removals, and permanent tattooing. This time, I went to her to have some moles removed. She's honest in telling you what to expect, what she can and can't do, and what you should and should not do after treatments (feel good in knowing you won't feel ripped off/lied to/betrayed when you leave). She uses quality machines and products (you'll see that the products lining her shelf are no dollar store products, they are Japanese and European products). With that said, her price point compared to her knowledge is super affordable. Talking to her is just like talking to your hair stylist: for some reason you end up spilling your guts and life story and its therapeutic. She can speak with Chinese and English, so not to worry there. She mentioned to me that so many of her clients are like me: went to her when we were younger and keep coming back to her. My first lashes appointment was with Fernanda and they looked great, but they all fell out when I went on vacation and my face was assaulted by the wind and salt water of the Pacific - I also didn't know you have to wash them to prevent oily buildup, so yeah. I came back two weeks later with literally no extensions left and had to pay for a full set all over again rather than a touch-up. I do wish they had told me about needing to wash them, because I really wasn't provided with the full aftercare instructions the first time I got them. But, now I know. They sell a special foam wash and gentle applicator for the soap here, which I recommend purchasing. My second session was with Viktoriia, who is absolutely incredible. Mynx & Inks is definitely out of the way if you live in DC, but it's worth it for the fair pricing and amazing quality.
