I went there for my cleaning routine, the hygienist ask me if i want anesthesia because it will be painful, i said yes, then the skiny guy at the front desk came to explain the charges, then i said, i dont want to paid $170 for that clean up, so first he told me why you so angry everytime you come here? ( that is a lie, i neve went there angry or upset) then he ask me again why you came here? this was enough to get up and leave, and ask him to remove me from the client list. I have been a client of this clinic for 4 years. This is the worst treatmen ever, maybe because im no a caucasian , he believed he can treat me like garbage? Shame on you! read more

I've been looking for a dentist nearby and found this place. I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning since I was a few months overdue. (I get a cleaning every six months). Getting an appointment quickly was easy and convenient. They had afternoon hours so I could get there after work. Once I checked in, they had me take a full circle X-ray which was unique, never seen that before. Then they took X-rays of all of my teeth. The dentist ( Dr. Jennifer Sorroza-Taylor) came in and I told her I had a minor pain on my lower left side, she confirmed it was two loose fillings. I scheduled a separate appointment for my cleaning and two filling fixes. Once I got there for my second appointment, they started with the filling removal as well as the fix. They did that in about 50 minutes, I was nervous since I've never had a loose filling before, it wasn't too bad but of course it was uncomfortable especially when they injected that huge needle of novocaine! But thank Buddha for that numbing sensation because all I felt were grinding and vibrations! Then off to my cleaning, I was nice and numb for that. She did a thorough job by blasting the tartar with a mini pressure washer, then scraping the tartar, then polishing it with cinnamon toothpaste, then flossing it. I was in and out of the appointment in an hour and 40 minutes. She gave me a goodie bag with a new toothbrush! Unfortunately, I had to go back two days later because there was a black spot on my new composite filling later that evening. (Side note: I wasn't given an option for the amalgam filling which would've been cheaper.) They fixed it for me right away (two day later) with no charge so I was happy about that. Overall, I'd give them a 3.5 stars for this experience. PROS: They were friendly, professional, and have good/late hours and got me in quick. The place was clean. CONS: I had to go back two days later to get a black spot removed from my white filling and they didn't offer amalgam filling which would've been nicer on my wallet. read more

Steer clear of this practice. Very dishonest!!!! I was told I had 3 cavities and quoted $747 to have them filled. Thankfully I had a second opinion at which point I was told I did not have ANY cavities. I recently went back for a cleaning because it was covered by my insurance and I liked the dental hygienist I had been using. PS- they had the nerve to tell me I was not allowed to come there just for my cleanings. Apparently it wasn't good for them that I didn't fork over the $747 for my nonexistent cavities. read more

I arrived early and told the gentleman at the reception that my son is Autistic and he said its okay we have gas and cocktails for him to relax and handed me papers to fill out. At 2.45pm we were called in. My son did well with the x-rays and we waited in a room. After that The Lady Dentist arrived with a nervous tone and said, We don't take Special Needs !!! I have been postponing this review for quite some time but seeing that this place is rated 4 stars has shocked me into FINALLY posting it. I had the worst experience here. Aside from the staff being extremely unprofessional, the 2 Dentists that I saw weren't too far behind. I had my wisdom teeth removed here, all 4 at once. I wasn't given antibiotics. They removed them and failed to tell me that they left a piece behind, this caused an infection and the most painful 2 weeks of my life. Instead of trying to find the issue, they just continued to prescribe painkillers. This place was located in a convenient area for me as it was close to my office at the time but I should have known better and never returned after the first visit. read more

I just want everyone to know the care compassion attention and sympathy I received from the staff to the doctors was amazing. The anxiety I had was through the roof. I had a terrible experience with a dentist years ago from that time on I never went back. I took care of my own teeth as best as I could. My husband found Nob Hill Dental and we read the great reviews so I decided I would give this office a try. I was already anxious just calling and scheduling an appointment. I arrived to my appointment beautiful clean office I did not wait long. I was already shaking like a leaf. I was brought in to have x-rays. I let Lizzie know how I was feeling. She was so sweet and compassionate just reassuring everything is going to be fine. I met Dr. Feinberg and the oral surgeon Dr. Ferrufino. They explained everything in detail they were so kind very confident, kind, compassionate. I felt a sense of relief. I promise you will not be disappointed with this office and their entire staff. I have to say Daniel is the sweetest person you will ever meet. He called me two days prior to say he can get me in earlier so I would be able to see oral surgeon as well. I saw both doctors same day vs coming back for another visit. He is so friendly explained everything as far as cost and a financial plan they have. I have no dental insurance and with everything I am having done even that I found very reasonable. I'm so happy I feel I am definitely in great hands. Trisha from Nob hill Dental Center always does an amazing job with her cleanings, she is a thoughtful and skillful hygienist that knows what shes doing, i wouldn't use anyone else. She is also engaging and a fun conversationalist keeping everything lively, light and funny the whole time. She is also direct and lays it on you if your not doing well with your oral hygiene or praises you if you are doing better than before so you always know where you stand with Trish. Overall NHDC does a great job, but they are especially lucky to have Trish on staff with them. Excellent care for the neurotic-nelly. :) I have unfortunately lost two teeth within a year to extractions so I have been to Dr. Kramer (the owner) and her Oral Surgeon, Dr. Fein frequently as they worked together to provide me with the best possible options for replacing these missing teeth. I had an implant done months ago and it is excellent. More recently, I am working on obtaining a one-tooth denture to replace the second lost tooth until I can afford my second implant. Dr. Kramer takes the time to work with you and discuss the best possible options given your unique circumstances. She is willing to explain to you everything that she is recommending and why --this is a rare and important quality. They have an excellent internal Dental Insurance plan and have state-of-the-art equipment that can fashion a crown in minutes. What I enjoy the most about her dental practice is that she and her staff are caring and comforting. She did it so fast and so perfect I was in shock at what a great job she did. She also spends time answering all of my questions and does not rush. I have always had major dental anxiety and put off going to the dentist for many years. So when my cousin told me about how wonderful Nob Hill Dental Center was I decided to give it a try. From the start, the office staff was extremely friendly and greeted me with a warm welcome. They always seem to go the extra mile to make sure your needs are met. Dr. Gilson was my dentist and he is truly the best. He went over my x-rays, treatment plan, and explained every detail. He was friendly, extremely professional and most of all made me feel comfortable despite the fact that I needed a two root canals. He is very patient and takes the time to answer all of your questions. Although the thought of a root canal scared me half to death, I knew that I was in good hands and I made an appointment to come back the following week. While root canals are no fun, he made it as painless as possible and is very accommodating. The dental hygienists are skilled and very gentle too. I have been a patient there for 6 weeks now and the customer service continues to be as good as the first day I walked in. With so many dental centers in the area, it is hard to separate the good from the bad. I highly recommend Nob Hill Dental Center for anyone needing any dental work. I absolutely love love love going to the dentist for cleanings and this was my first visit to and I'm very pleased I switched to this office. They're located in the Doris' plaza right next door to the Asian market in the corner. Their office staff is super friendly and they offer a ton of services from regular dental care to whitening and Invisalign. Rose was my hygienist on this visit and she was so nice and super gentle during my cleaning. She was very thorough and made sure to remind me to floss! Thankfully I do not have any dental health issues and am regularly told I'm the perfect dental patient. Their office is beyond clean and I liked that they used full paper bibs instead of using a front bib with that old chain that goes around EVERYONE'S neck. Yuck! During my cleaning Rose made sure to use the suction thing and I didn't feel like I needed to rinse and spit during the entire cleaning which is rare. Their office has the latest technology with a revolving x-ray machine that I've only normally seen in an orthodontist's office. When taking my bite-wing x-rays they also use a super new technology where they don't have to replace the bite-wing films; it's all electronic. Once she took the x-ray it popped up right on the screen showing all my pearly whites! The other thing I noticed about this office is that their exam room chairs are unbelievable comfortable. When I sat down to get my cleaning I literally almost fell asleep! I know Dr. Kathy personally which is why I switched to Nob Hill Dental Center. I noticed that she was especially great with her other patients while I was there and is a fantastic dentist. Super professional and caring. My only seemingly negative note about the office is that that it does get a bit cramped when there's a lot of people there. The hallways and check out area are very narrow and more than a few people in the areas make it very difficult to get around. I note this due to HIPAA concerns and they should be mindful about the information that is shared when other patients are within such close proximity. I did go on a very busy morning which is probably the only reason I noticed this. I'm excited to return for my next cleaning and upcoming whitening appointment. read more

I came ton Nob Hill Dental because of a recommendation and I could not be happier. As most people I hated going to the dentist. Now, thanks to Nob Hill Dental, my views have changed. The staff from front to back have been nothing but upfront and professional. I see others giving this place a bad review but yet all I see are smiles when I am in the facility. My biggest fear with dentistry was a dentist just getting in there and drilling away. Dr. Kathy was just the opposite. She was professional, and gentle. She told me everything that was going to be done, if I was going to experience any pain and never did any more work than was needed. Getting (and watching) my crown being made in the facility was very convenient. When I was in incredible pain with my root canal, their #1 objective that day was to get me out of pain, and that to me was a very comforting. Heidi made the insurance/payment process (sometimes the most difficult) very easy and straight forward. Going back for my cleanings and maintenance has been a breeze. Ask for Patricia. She also is very welcoming, and gentle. Her welcoming personality makes me comfortable and actually exciting to keep the care up in my mouth. I couldn't have asked for a better team to keep me healthy. I never thought I would say this but, I look forward to my appointments now....keeping my mouth, and body healthy. She was extremely thorough with her exam, explaining what's going on in my mouth and filled a few cavities with gentle care. Hello, I bought a groupon back in March for a cleaning. I went in and was immediately impressed with how professional and nice everyone was. I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but the entire staff put my nerves at ease. My dentist was Dr. Rogoff. During my exam, they found that I needed a cavity filled and in April we found out that I needed a root canal!!! Today I went in to get the procedure done. I was extremely freaked out, but Dr. Rogoff and Janice helped me stay relaxed. Root canals take a long time to get done and I actually ended up dozing off during the procedure.
