Unfortunately, I can't ignore what happened to my skin. I first found Fulfilled Aesthetics through a promotion and was so excited to book. I'd been wanting to try microneedling for a long time after hearing so many great things about it. The studio itself is absolutely beautiful. It's clean, chic, relaxing, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. My aesthetician was also incredibly sweet, which makes writing this even harder. When I came in for my first treatment, my skin was actually in a really good place. I had spent years getting my acne under control, and my texture and discoloration had improved so much. I wasn't trying to fix active acne. I simply wanted to enhance my results and invest in my skin. I know that some treatments can cause purging, but I had never experienced that with any procedure before. A few days after my microneedling session, I started developing large, painful cystic acne. It wasn't just a breakout. It continued for weeks and was unlike anything I had experienced in a very long time. At my follow-up appointment, I was recommended a mesoneedling acne treatment because of the breakout that followed the microneedling. I trusted the recommendation, even though I had never heard of needing an acne treatment after a treatment that was supposed to improve my skin. Unfortunately, things only got worse. I developed even more cystic acne after that session. The reaction became severe enough that I had to see my dermatologist for cortisone injections. She told me that the type of reaction I was having to microneedling was extremely rare. I still have two sessions left as part of my package, but I'm honestly very hesitant to continue. Instead of smoother skin, I'm now dealing with cystic acne, new scarring, and post-inflammatory discoloration that took me years to improve. That has been incredibly discouraging. I'm genuinely disappointed because I wanted to have the same experience that so many others have described. The staff was wonderful, my aesthetician was caring, and the studio is one of the nicest I've visited. I truly don't think anyone did anything intentionally wrong. My skin simply had a very unexpected reaction. I hope my experience is just a rare exception, but I also think it's important to share for anyone considering treatment, especially if they've worked hard to get their skin to a healthy place. She called them herself and made them release them to her. She also is still continuing my care with my chronic pain. I met with Dr. Coleman in December and was informed that my results would be uploaded to the portal. They were. A receptionist contacted me the next day stating that Dr. Coleman wanted to explain my results and that she would be giving me a call the next day. Dr. Coleman called me the next day and explained my results ( all of which were on the document uploaded to the portal ) . A few weeks later I receive a call saying that I had a overdue balance for 2 visits. I spoke with a very rude Yolain who advised me that this was my fault and that everything is documented in their system. I was not in a place to speak so I ended the call. When I called back , I spoke with Val, who blamed me and told me that every doctor does this. I explained to her that I have never , in all my years of being a woman had a doctor request to call me and then charge me . Ever. The information was uploaded to the portal, if I needed a follow up consultative appointment, I wouldv'e scheduled one. This was an overall unpleasant experience that I would not recommend .
