I ordered the steak frites, and every bite was fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were crisp and flavorful, and even the horseradish crème fraîche was incredible. I'm usually not someone who gets excited about dipping sauces, but this one complemented the meal so well. The bartender was also outstanding. He recommended the chocolate mousse, saying he "could bathe in it." After trying it, I completely understood what he meant. It was rich, silky, and hands down one of the best chocolate mousses I've ever had. It was the perfect way to end the meal. Excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere made this an easy five-star experience. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in Charlottesville.

In case you have never been they offer steaks that are cooked in a brick fire oven. AMAZING I ordered the VA sirloin which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) with creamed spinach and potatoes. The creamed spinach and the potatoes were very delicious and flavorful. I also ordered the fried oysters which were great. Not overly fried and still maintained the texture and flavor of a typical oyster. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was very entertaining and helpful. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She ensured that wanted for nothing. The ambiance was great. I loved the cow theme as well as the signage that stated "no well done steaks". It was a great touch. Overall, I had a great experience. If I am in Charlottesville again I will definitely visit.

The service was excellent and accommodating. I was impressed because I know large groups can be difficult to wait on, so was very pleased with the service and how quick they were to get our orders in and us served. We ordered a variety of appetizers, such as the the empanadas, calamari, and garlic shrimp. My favorite items were the empanadas and calamari, which were extra tasty with the accompanying sauces. We also ordered a variety of grilled meats, including the two large Parrillada meat platters and picanha . The accompanying sides we tried were the fries, cheese rice, fried yucca, and plantains. I really liked the plantains, but the cheese rice was not was I expected. It was more like grits than cheesy rice. The meats were cooked to how we requested it, and of course tastes especially good with the sauces. My favorite cuts were the strip steak, beef rib, and picanha. I didn't really care for the sweet breads, but that is a personal preference. Value wise, the Parrillada platters could easily feed 4 - 5 people, so we had plenty of leftovers. I would definitely recommend checking out La Estancia if you enjoy grilled meats!

They were not very busy when we arrived but remained attentive during our entire visit. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. We got a parrillada mixta, which means mixed grilled meats. It was superb! My husband had a cup of coffee, which was also good. Usually, restaurants go for generic coffee, and it's always overcooked. This was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated, music is playing, and there is a bar. It would be a great hang-out spot.

Everyone there was wearing masks (employees and customers). I was a little confused as to how it would work. I paid upon arrival. Within 10 minutes my order was ready. We ordered the 8-piece dinner with the thighs and drumsticks. This came with two sides. We chose fries and plantains. The chicken was well seasoned. A tad more St than I care for, but still good. Juicy and cooked perfectly. He said that the plantains were good. The fires are simply shoe string fries and they were cooked well. We will try this place again. I want to get Yuca next time. We ate in the bar - loved the vibe down there! The food was amazing! We started with salads - Caesar for the Hubby (as usual) and the Spring Salad for me (I subbed blue cheese for the goat cheese - I'm not a fan of goat cheese). Both salads were super fresh. They make their dressings in house and it shows. Ribeye rare for the Hubby and Filet mid-rare for me. We both had the crème fresh mashed potatoes. Steaks were cooked perfectly. And let me tell you, if you get anything, GET THE MASHED POTATOES!!! I swear these were the best I have ever had in my life. No joke - that includes my homemade and my Moms and Grandma's. Seriously. It's worthy to note that I asked for salt & pepper, as there was none on the table. It takes a really confident chef to not have salt & pepper on the table. So of course, I tasted first. I honestly did NOT use not one grain of either. The food didn't need it. Everything was seasoned perfectly! We ended the meal with crème brûlée, because if it's on the menu, we are ordering it. It was exceptional! Easily the second best we've ever had - and we've eaten a LOT of crème brûlée in our years. The service was absolutely spot on. There were 3 people working down there on this Wednesday night and they showed incredible teamwork. Super friendly, efficient and very customer service forward. Whenever we are in this area again, we will definitely eat here!!

Even after it filled in (we were there for 3+ hours), it still had great acoustics. Easy to carry on a conversation. We got a few things before the mains - shrimp cocktail (4 to a serving), prosciutto wrapped mozzarella (amazing), chopped wedge (very good just needed a little more blue cheese dressing). For the mains, we both got the ancho rubbed cowboy ribeye and I got the broiled blue cheese add on (yes, love blue cheese). The steak was AMAZING!! Cooked perfectly and incredibly flavorful. I strongly recommend the fromage topping!! For sides, we got portabella mushrooms and the Brussels sprouts. The mushrooms were fantastic. The sprouts were not very good. Tasted boiled and no flavor. All in all... highly recommend this place. Keep in mind, it's pricey. Our bill was $400 and all I had was water. My friend had 3 old fashioneds.

I don't even have a huge appetite, and the amount of food I received was still surprisingly small. The service was also disappointing from the moment I arrived. The restaurant was completely empty, yet no one greeted me or acknowledged me when I walked in. I eventually had to walk over to the bar area myself to ask about my pickup order. The woman working there looked confused that I was even asking and mumbled a response I could barely understand. I figured maybe she was busy, so I waited, but the entire experience became increasingly uncomfortable. I stood there awkwardly for about 10 minutes while the employees talked amongst themselves and kept looking over at me, yet no one updated me on my order or even spoke to me. The worst part was the food itself. The potatoes in the Papa a la Huancaína were cold and partially raw. I literally had to finish cooking them in the microwave at work. The empanada was decent, and the alfajor would have gotten better marks if it weren't for the small hair I found on it, but overall the experience was not worth the price. Unfortunately, I wouldn't ever come back. Revash has better portions, better prices, and overall much better food.
