When I called, they told me it would be a FREE ESTIMATE. However, another company happened to show up at the exact same time due to an online inquiry I had started. Because the other tech was already there looking at the pump, I sent the Delaware Plumbing tech away without him ever lifting a finger or doing a diagnosis. The tech immediately got aggressive and demanded a $65 dispatch fee just for pulling into my driveway. I NEVER signed anything agreeing to this fee, and I shouldn't have to pay a dime for a "free estimate" where zero work was done. When I refused to pay, things got disgusting. I called their office to sort it out and spoke to Linda, the woman who took my initial appointment. She was incredibly hostile and explicitly threatened to send me to collections over a measly $65! They even text-blasted a voice recording of my emergency phone call to my phone as a petty bullying tactic to scare me. Trying to extort and harass a homeowner while their house is actively flooding is predatory. These companies should be ashamed of themselves. It is disgusting--all about the money! James and his assistant (I forget his name) arrived the same day and were communicative via text, letting me know when he left the previous job and was on the way to my house. He worked efficiently and answered all of my questions. He even gave me some pointers about how to clear the clog myself in the future, if it happened again. It took them about 30 minutes to clear the clog and they took their time checking that it was gone for good. Given the COVID pandemic I asked them to wear masks and they did without hesitation; James said this is their policy anyway. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite throughout the whole service call. I will definitely keep them in mind if I have future plumbing problems. Highly recommend.
