Avoid this company at all costs! I called them during a highly stressful emergency when my sump pump overflowed and my basement was actively flooding. When I called, they told me it would be a FREE ESTIMATE. However, another company happened to show up at the exact same time due to an online inquiry I had started. Because the other tech was already there looking at the pump, I sent the Delaware Plumbing tech away without him ever lifting a finger or doing a diagnosis. The tech immediately got aggressive and demanded a $65 dispatch fee just for pulling into my driveway. I NEVER signed anything agreeing to this fee, and I shouldn't have to pay a dime for a "free estimate" where zero work was done. When I refused to pay, things got disgusting. I called their office to sort it out and spoke to Linda, the woman who took my initial appointment. She was incredibly hostile and explicitly threatened to send me to collections over a measly $65! They even text-blasted a voice recording of my emergency phone call to my phone as a petty bullying tactic to scare me. Trying to extort and harass a homeowner while their house is actively flooding is predatory. These companies should be ashamed of themselves. It is disgusting--all about the money! I had a great experience 2 weeks ago when a pipe had broke in my home. I called Del Plumbing Professionals to provide me with the repair. I received a returned call in the afternoon as they stated. They said they could arrive between 8-12 pm the next day. I pleasantly received a call at 8:10 that they would arrive by 8:30. Two very professional men introduced themselves, and discuss what they would do after reviewing the situation. I approved the quote further the repair and when speaking with Anthony I'm I asked if he could review our cooktop as there was slight gas odor from time to time beneath it. Anthony discovered a small leak on the gas connector provided me with a fair quote and proceeded to repair. Within 2 hours all concerns were resolved. Had an appointment with a serviceman within 2 hours and the job done in 30 minutes. John was on time, wore booties and was courteous but everything else was bad. The fee to replace my disposer was well over $800 for a disposer that sells at Home Depot for $149. The repair quote was for $377 which included $65 for a dispatch fee and $30 for travel and they had already agreed to waive the $65. John attempted to remove the jam but couldn't do so. I don't know if he removed my disposer or if he only looked down through the drain and took out the piece of plastic that was in there. He did drop the price to $160. When I told him I priced out the unit at HD, he said they would install it if I bought it for $512. So I paid $160 and still don't have a working garbage disposal. I will never use them again and would never recommend them to anyone. I would recommend going to HD - they want $189 to install one. read more

These guys are nuts and have extremely poor business practice. They did not give me a quote for a sink leak repair over the phone, neither did they say they can't fix all types of sink leaks. They insisted to send a person to look at the problem, give a quote, and if agreed, fix the issue. But they need a $65 dispatch fee. I agreed to pay that since I wanted to fix the leak anyway. The person showed up and looked at the leak and said that he can not fix the problem. That was fine, but to my frustration, I had to pay the dispatch fee, which is not fair and just stealing money from people. My question: Why should I pay the dispatch fee if they can't fix the problem (their inability to do the job). I would have no problem to pay the fee, only if I refuged to use their service after the quote. It's a very profitable business just to drive to peoples home, tell them I can't fix the problem, collect dispatch fee and go away!!! Bottom line: Everyone should avoid this company. Master plumber there is more like a con man. Gave me a quoted price for the work, but ended up only installing 3/4 of a pipe instead of all of it. In the end they overcharged me the original agreed upon price and never deducted any money, when they only installed 75% of the line. It would have saved me a FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS, if they were honest professionals! The service was same day and well done. But I am definitely showing my age in authorizing the work. The price was $925 for less than $150 in parts and less the 2 hours of labor to perform the task. This is in addition to the dispatch fee which is $65. The job was to lower the p-trap by less than an inch and ensure that it was draining correctly. Plus connect it to 2 sinks and a dishwasher drain as we went from an above counter sink to a below counter. This did not involve changing the drain pipe or connecting the faucet. And they didn't use the sink pieces that I had bought. That ends up being almost more than $400 an hour which can't possibly be the market price. To put it in perspective I had a different plumber replace outdoor faucets and put in shutoff values for 1/2 this price in fall last year. I am very embarrassed. Might be a great company for large projects but would not recommend for small ones like mine. read more

Highly NOT Recommended! I have used Delaware Plumbing Professionals more than once. The first time, although not inexpensive, the job was done well. The second time, I called them to diagnose a problem with my sump pump. The pump was only one year old and was malfunctioning. I was told that, since they didn't install the pump, the only option they could offer was to install a brand-new pump, which would cost around $2,000. I said, "Thank you," paid $65 for the visit, and that was it. The pump was later fixed with a simple tweak. Today, I called them for the third time to look at a leaking shower and a leaking garbage disposal. I was informed that to change the leaking gasket at the top of the disposal, they would charge me the price of a full disposal replacement, which is over $450, for less than one hour worth of work (I asked). As for the leaking shower, even though I clearly identified the leaking plunger (a $20 part), I was told they couldn't address it and could only offer a replacement of the entire shower valve inside the wall, which I assume would be a job costing a few thousand dollars. I tried to replace a leaking faucet hose but could not find a replacement hose that worked so I contacted DPP to come out and replace it hoping they had more options. On a good note they were the only company I spoke to that was able to come out within 24 hours - most were 3 days or more. Of course they charge you $65 to come out to see if they can even help. Don showed up first thing next morning and because the Moen faucet is 12 year old there was no hose available on his truck. I asked if they could replace the whole faucet then and they quoted me three faucets ranging from around $1,500 to $1,000 which is super expensive and no visuals of the models were provided with the quote. I probably could have asked to seem them first but regrettably i did not. I agreed as I needed a working faucet and chose the cheapest one. The model they installed was a very basic no frill model that runs about $30 at Home Depot. It took Don about an hour to complete all the work thus the labor charge was around $900 an hour which is pretty outrageous but in the end I agreed to it - so shame on me. The work was done well and Don was great to deal with. So they get 5 out of 5 for service and Don's work and 1 out of 5 for the pricing - thus the three. I n hindsight I should have just taken the day and done the work myself saving myself nearly a grand. read more

Installed a water heater, air wasn't bled out of the system throughout the home, by the time I went to use the bath tub upstairs the pipes busted and my living room ceiling is trashed as water leaked to the floor below. Per the description provided by the company of the tasks they would complete (highlighted in pic below), they would purge the air THROUGHOUT the house. This was only done on one sink on main floor. I tried to get them to come and provide service on a water conditioning system since the manufacturer listed them as a good dealer. The woman explained that the don't do maintenance on anything they don't install and that the only thing they would do is install an entire new system, noting that maintenance wasn't worth doing anyway. Very rude and unfair, but I guess they don't need more customers and service isn't their thing. Our system was new in 2019 and the installer is no longer available, so we need a new dealer. They quoted me a price of $2100 to replace a pump in the basement and when I declined the service, they came back with a new quote of $1500 for the same repair.
