From the beginning, after contacting Pavers N Stones for a quote, they called back same day and I…read morescheduled them to come and help us with a side yard that was just gravel ( installed by the builder and not functional at all). We also had a backyard with a 40 degree slope and was difficult to access and navigate. Both owners Malika & Alex came out and listened to our concerns and shared their vision on how to transform our side yard and backyard slope into something that addressed all our concerns. They even provided one the spot renderings so we could envision what the final outcome would be. I can't begin to explain how they turned our project into something that is showcase quality. Their attention to detail and professionalism is of the highest standards. The crew were respectful of property, genuinely professional and they completed our project in record time. I think this company from the top, down to the crew are hands down the best company in the area.

I highly recommend using this company for your backyard pavers project. I called Alex out for 3…read moreseparate estimates before we landed on a final design. His pricing was upfront and very reasonable. We had to end up building a retaining wall that we didn't originally plan for, but every project has its unknowns. Alex and his team were able to pivot quickly and get the job done with great attention to detail. I'm going to call him back this fall to get some trees as well. Highly recommend giving them a call.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with PNW Permaculture & Garden on a front and backyard…read moredesign that beautifully aligned with our love for permaculture, Pacific native plants, and Japanese garden aesthetics. A year after implementing her thoughtful design, we're thrilled to say her ideas have far exceeded our expectations, and the local birds and bees seem to agree. What we appreciated most was Ali's ability to create a plan that allowed us to implement much of it ourselves. This hands-on approach not only saved us money but also helped us learn about our land and develop our beginner-level permaculture skills. We've achieved a 90% success rate with the plants we've planted, and the 10% that didn't thrive taught us valuable lessons we needed to learn--an incredibly worthwhile investment. Ali's design was also adaptable to our budget and bandwidth, letting us break the project into manageable steps. Next year, we're excited to start our chicken coop and continue bringing this vision to life. Every day, we fall more in love with our garden--it's a peaceful, thriving space that has enriched our lives in ways we never imagined. Ali's expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to sustainable design are unmatched. On top of all this, her pricing was incredibly reasonable for the lasting impact her work has had. If you're looking for a designer who blends artistry with eco-conscious principles and empowers you to grow alongside your land, Ali is the one to call. We couldn't recommend her more highly!

I felt like she did a design that had everything I wanted and also incorporated some ideas I wouldn't of thought myself. He is upfront about budget and costs and keeps you updated every step of the way so there are no unpleasant surprises. What puts Harley's company in a league of its own, is his team. These are not subcontractors with tons of other jobs all happening simultaneously. He hand picked these workers, who are masters in their fields. What this means is, that team showed up early every morning. They worked hard and wasted no time. They are experts at what they do and they take pride in the job they perform. Harley treats your job like he is working on his own house. This comes across very clearly in every decision and choice he makes to select materials, plants, products, etc. He also consulted me before every design decision was made, from the the height of the step leading to the backyard, to the exact color of the cement, to the exact placement of the plants before the digging took place. Another designer may have gone ahead and planted the plants per the architectural design, but Harley has this innate understanding that people change their minds when they see things actually laid out, or after they have time to think about the project as it it progressing. It is this insightful understanding about human nature, that greatly reduces stress during the project as you come to trust and appreciate these rare qualities that you don't find in most people. I am so pleased with the work Design Prodigy did in the backyard.

Aloes Landscape And Maintenance - Used materials.

Our experience with Aloe's Landscape & Design began on a high note with a successful yard remodel…read more However, once we transitioned to their monthly maintenance program, the service quality and professional standards declined significantly. The critical issues we encountered were: Inaccurate Billing: We were repeatedly invoiced for services that were never performed. Correcting these errors required multiple follow-ups and often took days for a response from the owner. Lack of Reliability: There was no consistent schedule. Assurances of "we'll be there this week" frequently went unfulfilled without communication. Substandard Workmanship: Routine upkeep was often neglected, allowing weeds to overgrow in serviced areas. Additionally, crews frequently left tools and personal items behind on our property. Poor Management: While Aloe is a talented salesperson, the business lacks the necessary infrastructure to manage a recurring client base. We even recommended them to a friend who unfortunately experienced the exact same pattern of unreliability. It is disappointing to see a business with such potential struggle with basic operational accountability. We wish the team the best and hope they can implement a more reliable system, but we cannot recommend their maintenance services at this time.

Aloe was pleasant to work with in the beginning, but once I questioned the timeliness of the…read moreproject she got mad and refused to complete the project. She resorted to name calling and refused to comply with her own contract. Below are my grievances. Bogus charges. She charged me for research and travel time. She inflates the prices for supplies. Aloe, definitely has a pattern. No matter what you request, she buys the absolute cheapest version of it and charges you top price, too. For example, I paid for bend-a-board but she used three long strips of cheap metal edging instead and did not even complete all of the edging. Supplies. I paid for supplies I never received, such as a B-hyve Hub. I paid for five large white iceberg rose bushes at $70 per bush, but only received four. I paid for fabric weed block, she used cheap cloth. I paid for gravel and river rock she never even used. I paid for bend-a-board she never used. I paid for soil for the raised concrete bedding area, the same dirt is still there. I paid for two irrigation timers, but only got one. I paid for wood for two hand rails, and got none. I paid for wood for a brand new fence along the driveway and only got some. Materials. She used "used" materials even though I paid for new. The tubing for the drip system is used and is a combination of tubing and soaker hose. The stone work. In front of the house is already falling off, incomplete and is of very poor craftsmanship. The stepping stones. Were just placed on top of the ground, are unstable and a tripping hazard. I had to remove them. I paid for slate, but did not get slate. Instead, I got the cheapest stepping stones she could find and still charged me top dollar. The path. She did not even bother to provide enough gravel to cover the entire path, even though I paid for her to buy enough. The stepping stones are unstable and had to be removed. She left the edging along both sides of the path 95% incomplete. Weed block. She used cheap weed block even though I asked for fabric and she did not even cover all the areas like I requested and paid for. Already weeds are coming up. The fence. She knowingly installed an illegal fence and she never completed the fence along the driveway. The entire fence was to be removed, rebuilt and painted. What is existing is not built correctly. What happened to the primer and paint I paid for to paint the fence white? What happened to the wood I paid for to replace the old fence? Hand rails. I paid for supplies for her to build me two new handrails. She only painted the existing one. Gate on driveway. She never even attempted to install a gate on the driveway even though I paid for materials for that, too. Overall craftsmanship. Is of very poor quality. Another pattern. Incomplete projects. She never fully completes one part of a project. For example, the irrigation, stone work and path were left unfinished for three to four weeks and still are unfinished. Mind you, she did almost all the work herself and was present while the irrigation and stonework were being installed and then pretended to not know these things were not finished like she said. The drip system. When I told her I had to buy more materials and finish the drip system myself she could have cared less. She told me it takes an entire day to put in a drip system. This is not my first rodeo. It does not take all day, but later I found out she charged me for an entire day of work. The landscaping. Is not a two month long project, but it turned into that because she did almost all the work herself. Again, this is not my first rodeo. Had she just shown up with a crew she could have knocked it out in no more than two weeks. Instead, she overbooked herself, spread her crew thin and mismanaged the entire project. She does not clean up after herself. She left trash and debris on my driveway, the sidewalk and on the street in front of my home. I had to do the sweeping and throw away the trash myself. The contract. I complied. I made all progress payments. She did not comply. She did not finish the project. She knowingly installed an illegal fence. She never replaced the original handrail by the steps and never added a second one, even though I paid for the materials. She charged me bogus charges for research. She kept materials I paid for. She used "used" materials when I paid for new. She left a mess on my property. She resorted to false accusations and name calling. She even tried to blame my one-year old German Shepherd puppy that is being professionally trained. Still, she gave me the finger! I contacted the Landscaper Contractors Board and received the following response. See photo below. Moreover, I had an assessment done of her work by a licensed landscape company. I have left out names to protect those individuals. See photo below.

Wow! Astounding service, level of knowledge, professionalism, and abilities from Jesus and crew…read more These guys literally moved a mountain for us (grading the yard, putting the hill along the back behind a block retaining wall, and giving us a terraced growing area) and went above and beyond to make sure we were left with a really nice yard. The price was very reasonable for the originally planned work, but in the end it turned out to be a great value for everything they did to get it perfect for us. Jesus is extremely nice and approachable, and he was excellent with communication and check-ins. As soon as they finished the backyard landscaping job today, I signed another contract for them to do our fencing, and we're planning on having them back to improve our sprinkler system next Spring.

They even pulled weeds from plants and pots around the yard. Way above and beyond what I expected. The one draw back is how long it takes them to cash checks. Wrote them a check for the clean up June 8th, didn't clear until July 11th. They still are holding on to my check from June 28th, it's July 20th now. I'm not going to knock them a full star for not cashing checks right away but it's frustrating. Attached photos are the before and after of the walkway install.
