I purchased my initial subwoofer from the Fort Collins store which was absolutely phenomenal and when I had an issue and couldn't find a direct replacement offered solutions to the issue right away. This store has been an absolute nightmare and hands down the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with. I have received ZERO phone calls regarding a possible solution or resolution. It first started by scheduling an appointment over the phone since I can no longer make it easily to the ft Collins store. When I showed up to the appt, no one knew I had it scheduled. After taking all day to confirm the sub was blown, they put in for a warranty claim for a replacement. Or so I thought. About a month goes by and I call to check in, no one had sent the claim in. So they sent it in, this time on the wrong item. I was patient and waited a few more weeks, got told about JL audio being bought out(which happened 3 years ago) and was no longer making product and they couldn't source it. Then car toys claimed bankruptcy and that was another excuse as to why this would take awhile. Almost 6 months goes by with me being the only person to call or keep up to date on the issue every couple weeks. So finally in the last couple days they are saying it's on the warranty company. So I start calling the warranty company and they have it approved for replacement since early August! You're telling me it's been approved for 3 months and you guys can't find a replacement? To top it off, I've been told they can't find the sub.... That's a straight up lie. They can be found for sale brand new on many different websites and even Garmin who purchased JL audio has on their website the same exact sub for sale. I don't comprehend how a solution has not been offered. Hands down the WORST customer service experience of my life. This store has lost a customer, and it's not just my business you are losing... I have been in the dealership world for 15 years and you can be sure this experience has and will continue to effect my business and many others with this location. Ascent is the outlier. They were amazing. Their business popped up when I did a ChatGPT search to replace the windshield in my 2020 Toyota RAV4. My windshield is pretty high tech with camera inputs that have to be aligned perfectly so I needed a company with the equipment and skill to get that dialed in perfectly. Ascent was by far the most reasonable on price and had consistently great reviews. I figured that must mean I'd likely have to compromise on speed or quality. Not at all. They had me immediately scheduled for less than a week later and showed up at my door and had the job knocked out in no time. They also found a few drain tubes that were clogged under my cowl and blew those out for me free of charge. Tanner and Kyle are co-owners who are literally third generation windshield installers and have done this since they were young. Instead of continuing to crank out dozens of windshield replacements a day in a shop, they decided they wanted to be able to have more interactions with the customer and have the time to make sure they did the job right. Hearing more about their business I was only more sold on these guys. I personally appreciate and applaud that they've figured out how to create a small business that's efficient and still leaves them time to invest in their families. When I asked if they intended to scale, they emphatically said, "Nope!" They love being able to move at a pace that's sustainable to do the job well and take care of the customers. Can't recommend these guys highly enough.
